Hover in prepend() function - javascript

HTML:
<div class="Wrap">
<div class="container">
<div class="count">My Counter</div>
<div class="background"></div>
<div class="hover"></div>
</div>
</div>
<button class="AddDiv">AddDiv</button>
jQuery:
$('.AddDiv').on('click', function(){
$('.Wrap').prepend($('<div class="container"><div class="background"></div><div class="hover"></div></div>'));
});
$(".background").on("mouseover", function () {
$(".hover").fadeIn(500);
});
$(".hover").on("mouseout", function () {
$(".hover").fadeOut(200);
});

Hello, I have problem with hover, look at the jsfiddle and click on button AddDiv and when hover on the green square hovered are all divs, but I would like that every div will be hovered separately. And hover doesn't work in new divs

Two things
You need to use delegated event for dynamic element
Use this for the reference of current element.
Try like following.
$('.AddDiv').on('click', function() {
$('.Wrap').prepend($('<div class="container"><div class="background"></div><div class="hover"></div></div>'));
});
$(".Wrap").on("mouseover", ".background", function () {
$(this).next(".hover").fadeIn(500);
});
$(".Wrap").on("mouseout", ".hover", function () {
$(this).fadeOut(200);
});
.Wrap {
width: 650px;
height: 800px;
}
.container {
position: relative;
top: 5px;
left: 5px;
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
background-color: red;
float: left;
margin-left: 5px;
margin-top: 5px;
}
.AddDiv {
position: absolute;
top: 0px;
}
.background {
width: 20px;
height: 20px;
background-color: green;
position: absolute;
left: 170px;
top: 10px;
}
.hover {
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
position: absolute;
z-index: 1001;
display: none;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="Wrap">
<div class="container">
<div class="background">
</div>
<div class="hover">
</div>
</div>
</div>
<button class=AddDiv>AddDiv</button>

You can use $(this) jquery function
$("body").on("mouseover",".background", function () {
$(this).siblings('.hover').fadeIn(500);
});
$("body").on("mouseout",".hover", function () {
$(this).fadeOut(200);
});

Multiple div's onhover same functionality

Here I have six different div on hover blue color div should appear and by default hidden. I have written code for this but it works only for the first div I merge all div's in a single variable. Can anyone suggest to me what I'm missing here
var tcpTooltip = $('.tp-cont-tech, tp-cont-b, tp-cont-m, tp-cont-t, tp-cont-i, tp-cont-e');
var tcpTooltipDiv = $('.tpc-tooltip-tech, tpc-tooltip-b, tpc-tooltip-m, tpc-tooltip-t, tpc-tooltip-i, tpc-tooltip-e');
tcpTooltipDiv.hide();
$(tcpTooltip).each(function() {
$(tcpTooltip).hover(function() {
$(tcpTooltipDiv).show();
}, function() {
$(tcpTooltipDiv).hide();
});
});
/* Tooltip */
.tp-cont-tech,
.tp-cont-e,
.tp-cont-t,
.tp-cont-m,
.tp-cont-i,
.tp-cont-b {
position: relative;
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
background-color: red;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.tpc-tooltip-tech,
.tpc-tooltip-e,
.tpc-tooltip-t,
.tpc-tooltip-m,
.tpc-tooltip-i,
.tpc-tooltip-b {
position: absolute;
top: 2%;
left: 5%;
z-index: 10;
width: 100px;
height: 100px;
background-color: blue;
}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.2.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="tpc-info">
<div class="tp-cont-tech">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-tech"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-b">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-b"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-m">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-m"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-t">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-t"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-e">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-e"></div>
</div>
</div>
As suggested already, I'd go by using pure CSS and the :hover pseudo.
If you really want jQuery for some reason this would be a remake of your code.
Basically (beside adding common classes to your elements [see code below]) you need the $(this) reference of the currently hovered element:
var $tpCont = $('.tp-cont');
var $tcpTooltip = $('.tcp-tooltip');
$tcpTooltip.hide();
$tpCont.hover(function() {
$(this).find($tcpTooltip).toggle();
});
.tp-cont {
position: relative;
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
background-color: red;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.tcp-tooltip {
position: absolute;
top: 2%;
left: 5%;
z-index: 10;
width: 100px;
height: 100px;
background-color: blue;
}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.2.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="tpc-info">
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-tech">
<div class="tcp-tooltip tpc-tooltip-tech"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-b">
<div class="tcp-tooltip tpc-tooltip-b"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-m">
<div class="tcp-tooltip tpc-tooltip-m"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-t">
<div class="tcp-tooltip tpc-tooltip-t"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-e">
<div class="tcp-tooltip tpc-tooltip-e"></div>
</div>
</div>
You can achieve this far more effectively with CSS. If you add some common classes to the tp-cont-X and tpc-tooltip-X elements, then you can use the :hover pseudo-selector, like this:
.tp-cont {
position: relative;
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
background-color: red;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.tpc-tooltip {
position: absolute;
top: 2%;
left: 5%;
z-index: 10;
width: 100px;
height: 100px;
background-color: blue;
display: none;
}
.tp-cont:hover .tpc-tooltip {
display: block;
}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.2.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="tpc-info">
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-tech">
<div class="tpc-tooltip tpc-tooltip-tech"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-b">
<div class="tpc-tooltip tpc-tooltip-b"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-m">
<div class="tpc-tooltip tpc-tooltip-m"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-t">
<div class="tpc-tooltip tpc-tooltip-t"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont tp-cont-e">
<div class="tpc-tooltip tpc-tooltip-e"></div>
</div>
</div>
Try using index inside hover.
var tcpTooltip = $('.tp-cont-tech, .tp-cont-b, .tp-cont-m, .tp-cont-t, .tp-cont-i, .tp-cont-e');
var tcpTooltipDiv = $('.tpc-tooltip-tech, .tpc-tooltip-b, .tpc-tooltip-m, .tpc-tooltip-t, .tpc-tooltip-i, .tpc-tooltip-e');
tcpTooltipDiv.hide();
$(tcpTooltip).each(function() {
$(tcpTooltip).hover(function(index, item) {
$(tcpTooltipDiv).eq($(this).index()).show();
}, function() {
$(tcpTooltipDiv).hide();
});
});
/* Tooltip */
.tp-cont-tech,
.tp-cont-e,
.tp-cont-t,
.tp-cont-m,
.tp-cont-i,
.tp-cont-b {
position: relative;
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
background-color: red;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.tpc-tooltip-tech,
.tpc-tooltip-e,
.tpc-tooltip-t,
.tpc-tooltip-m,
.tpc-tooltip-i,
.tpc-tooltip-b {
position: absolute;
top: 2%;
left: 5%;
z-index: 10;
width: 100px;
height: 100px;
background-color: blue;
}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.2.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="tpc-info">
<div class="tp-cont-tech">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-tech"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-b">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-b"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-m">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-m"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-t">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-t"></div>
</div>
<div class="tp-cont-e">
<div class="tpc-tooltip-e"></div>
</div>
</div>

Pause jQuery On Hover

I just want the ability to be able to pause the animation on mouse hover. I trying to looking good way to do that, but there was some issues. I tested some hover/stop functions, but I can't get these working correctly.
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
setInterval(function() {
jQuery('#testimonials .slide').filter(':visible').fadeOut(1000, function() {
if (jQuery(this).next('.slide').size()) {
jQuery(this).next().fadeIn(1000);
} else {
jQuery('#testimonials .slide').eq(0).fadeIn(1000);
}
});
}, 5000);
});
#quote {
width: 100%;
height: 130px;
background-position: center bottom;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
margin-bottom: 65px;
overflow: hidden;
}
#testimonials .slide {
color: #555555;
}
#testimonials .testimonial-quote {
display: inline;
width: 600px;
height: 170px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
float: left;
position: relative;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div id="quote">
<div id="testimonials">
<div class="slide">
<div class="testimonial-quote">
<p>Text 1</p>
<h4 class="title">Title 1</h4>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
You can achieve this by calling clearInterval() when the slide is hovered, then re-creating the interval again when the mouse leaves the slide, something like this:
jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
var $slides = $('#testimonials .slide');
function beginSlideInterval() {
return setInterval(function() {
$slides.filter(':visible').fadeOut(1000, function() {
var $next = $(this).next().length ? $(this).next() : $slides.first();
$next.fadeIn(1000);
});
}, 3000);
}
var slideInterval = beginSlideInterval();
$slides.on('mouseenter', function() {
clearInterval(slideInterval);
}).on('mouseleave', function() {
slideInterval = beginSlideInterval();
});
});
#quote {
width: 100%;
height: 130px;
background-position: center bottom;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
margin-bottom: 65px;
overflow: hidden;
}
#testimonials .slide {
color: #555555;
}
#testimonials .testimonial-quote {
display: inline;
width: 600px;
height: 170px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
float: left;
position: relative;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div id="quote">
<div id="testimonials">
<div class="slide">
<div class="testimonial-quote">
<p>Text 1</p>
<h4 class="title">Title 1</h4>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Note that I shortened the interval to make the effect more obvious.

Fade out on click isn't working

When I click on the "open" button,it fade out but "navigazione" div doesn't fade in. But If I try to put display: block; on the "navigazione ID" I can see the script working. Obviously I need that the "navigazione id" start with display none. where's the problem?? thank you in advance for your help!
JS
<script>
$(document).ready(function(e) {
$("#close-icon").on('click', function() {
$("#menu-butt").fadeIn();
$("#navigazione").fadeOut();
});
$("#menu-butt").on('click', function() {
$("#menu-butt").fadeOut();
$("#navigazione").fadeIn();
});
});
</script>
HTML
<div id="navigazione"> <div> <div id="button"> ciao </div> </div>
<div class="row menu-butt"><a href="#" id="menu-butt">open<a></div>
<div id="close-icon"><a href="#" id="close-icon">close<a></div>
CSS
#navigazione { height: 100vh;
width:100%;
position: fixed ;
top: 0px;
left: 0px;
background-color: rgba(28,82,23,0.95);
z-index:400;
display: none;
}
#close-icon{ position: fixed;
height: cover;
top: 20px;
right: 30px !important;
z-index: 450 ;
display: none;
}
Is this you are looking for -
$(document).ready(function(e) {
$("#close-icon").on('click', function() {
$("#menu-butt").fadeIn();
$("#navigazione").fadeOut();
});
$("#menu-butt").on('click', function() {

$("#navigazione").fadeIn();
});
});
#navigazione { height: 100vh;

jQuery/Javascript - Fade in div onclick fade out another doesn't work

I want to pop up a menu on click of a div and I got it all working in this Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/EhtrR/825/ but I cant manage to make it work on my code.
HTML:
<div id="clickOne" class="clickDesign">
<h2 class="fs20 nobold">Leafy Plants</h2>
</div>
<div id="clickTwo" class="clickDesign">
<h2 class="fs20 nobold">Juicy Plants</h2>
</div>
</div>
<div id="leafyPlants">
Leafy Test
</div>
<div id="juicyPlants">
Juicy Test
</div>
CSS:
#leafyPlants{
display:none;
position:absolute;
top:50px;
}
#juicyPlants{
display:none;
position:absolute;
top:50px;
}
jQuery:
$("#clickOne").on('click', function() {
$("#leafyPlants").fadeIn();
$("#juicyPlants").fadeOut();
});
$("#clickTwo").on('click', function() {
$("#leafyPlants").fadeOut();
$("#juicyPlants").fadeIn();
});
It doesn't show anything when I put it my code.
Add this css
<style>
img {
float: left;
display: block;
height: 40px;
width: 40px;
cursor: pointer;
}
#img1 {
background: #b00;
}
#img2 {
background: #c00;
}
#div1 {
display: none;
position: absolute;
top: 50px;
width: 200px;
background: #077;
left: 10px;
}
#div2 {
display: none;
position: absolute;
top: 50px;
width: 200px;
background: #0b0;
left: 10px;
}
br {
clear: both;
}
</style>
This js codes
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function(e) {
$("#img1").on('click', function() {
$("#div1").fadeIn();
$("#div2").fadeOut();
});
$("#img2").on('click', function() {
$("#div1").fadeOut();
$("#div2").fadeIn();
});
});
</script>
And you HTML
<img id="img1"/> <img id="img2"/> <br/>
<div id="div1">1</div>
<div id="div2">2</div>
It should work. Most probably you did not included jQuery library. I added it.
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.js"></script>
Using it should solve your porblem probably.

show hidden div over current div and next hide

<div id="home">
<div id="logo"> </div>
<div id="foot"> <div class="button"> CLICK ME</div>
<div class="button two"> CLICK ME</div> </div>

i would like if i click RED .button then GREEN .show show me over the red button and if i click outside GREEN .show then this hide.

Is this somewhat close to what you are looking for?
http://jsfiddle.net/neilheinrich/YeE4p/6/
I had to change the #show div to be absolutely positioned and use this javascript:
$('.button').click(function(){
var $show = $('#show');
var position = $(this).offset()
$show.css({
"left": position.left + "px",
"top":position.top + "px"
}).show();
$(window).bind("mousedown", function(e){
if (!($(e.target).attr("id") === "show")) {
$("#show").hide();
$(window).unbind("mousedown");
}
});
})
Try this out
http://jsfiddle.net/Quincy/YeE4p/4/
$('.button').click(function(event){
$('#show').show();
event.stopPropagation();
})
$('body').click(
function(){
$('#show').hide();
}
)
