box-shadow effect is not working in my safari 5.1.7
I have tried with -moz-box-shadow and -webkit-box-shadow also.. but safari is not even showing that options.
How to get box-shadow effect??

Safari 5.1.7 for windows is an old browser. The browser has been discontinued.
From wiki
Safari 5.1.7, released on May 9, 2012, is the last version available for Windows
So, in other words, safari for windows does not have box-shadow. Two alternatives;
Use a .png file to display the shadow.
Use a solid border
My suggestion, don't bother at all. The browser is dead. Don't spend much time trying to make the shadows look beautiful.

Good morning, everyone.
I'm trying to get my client's signature through a canvas. The script I'm using is:
https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/signature_pad#4.0.0/dist/signature_pad.umd.min.js
It works completely fine on Chrome Browser and Android phones, so it does work on mobile. The problem however arises on Iphones, using Safari. It simply won't get any input and shows me an error message when inspected: signature_pad.umd.min.js:5SyntaxError: Use of reserved word 'class'
Use of reserved word 'class' error
I'm afraid of messing around with the js, since it works just fine in other browsers. Could someone help me with this?
Thank you in advance!
In my case, it was a version problem. It worked on the Safari by using a lower vision of signature_pad.
"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/signature_pad#2.3.2/dist/signature_pad.min.js".

I'm working on a little project and want to change the appearance of the little blinking bar, which appears infront of a spot you're typing in. Its also known as just a 'cursor' or 'text-cursor'. I can change it either with css or javascript if that is possible.
I don't believe you can do that, you'd have to hide it entirely and provide your own graphic, managing its position, etc.; basically, reinventing the text input field.
The closest you can come with CSS is caret-color, which lets you set the color in modern browsers but won't work in IE (and is only supported in very recent versions of Edge, the ones based on Blink and V8 instead of EdgeHTML and JScript). My impression is you want to do more than that. :-)

The font Avenir Next is not displaying/rendering the same on Safari as it is on Google Chrome and Firefox. Is there a way to fix this or to use a separate font for my webpage on Safari? How would I go about this?
I would prefer the solution to be pure html/css (perhaps there is an #media for browsers?). If not possible I could use javascript or jQuery.
EDIT: Solved, the problem is Safari font-smoothing. See my own answer below
Well you say JS is a possibility even if it's not your preference.
I wrote a library about 100 years ago called BAPS (browser and plugin sniffer) which detects a whole host of stuff and adds body classes.
http://vostok.xyz/cdn/baps.js
You don't do anything to it - you just include the script, and end up with a bunch of body classes if you inspect the DOM.
Safari has its own separate font-smoothing (that is, an automatic function adjusting the font to render nice and proper)from other browsers like Chrome or Firefox.
In the case of discrepancies such as those I encountered, we can manually alter the automatic font-smoothing in our CSS with
-webkit-font-smoothing
In my case, font-smoothing on Safari was automatically set on antialiased, while the standard (font-smoothing used on Chrome and Firefox) was subpixel-antialiased.
Simply added:
-webkit-font-smoothing: subpixel-antialiased !important;
And the font now displays the same as in Chrome and other browsers.

I have problem with onepagescroll plugin on iPad device. When I click on bullets everythink works fine, but when I trying to scroll there is no one page scroll effect. I can only use normal scroll from current section (where I am from clicking on bullets) down. Scrolling up from current section is not possible. I get no error in console.
Elsewhere (desktop - Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.) works OK. I have disabled feature on mobile.
What could be wrong?
Thanks!
I would recommend you to try fullPage.js instead.
It provides support for mobile phones and touch devices as well as for old browsers such as IE 8 and 9.

Would really appreciate if anyone could take a look at my site and let me know why the elements on my landing page don't show up in Internet Explorer.
Everything works fine in Firefox, Safari and Chrome at least, but nothing appears at all in IE. I think the elements are there they are just invisible as if the mouse hovers over where the button or input box should be, the cursor changes.
I've tried cancelling out various parts of the HTML and CSS to see if anything triggers it to come back in, but to no avail so I'm truly stumped.
Really appreciate any help.

It works in IE 7, IE 8 but not in IE 9.
In style.css line number 925 instead of opacity: 0 make it 1. It will be displayed in IE9 also.
Or you can simply remove opacity from below.
#banner, #banner2 .inner {opacity:1;}
As far as I can see:
It works in IE 11 and IE 10.
I think you should make your site IE 9 and less compatible.
Some elements from HTML5 may not be used in these versions though.
Please use this in your head section:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />
