AWS PDF file show in bootstrep model in Laravel - javascript

I have downloaded aws url like
https://xxx-xx-dev.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/std_check/6557122022151745398XtquBSY.pdf
When this url is put in ifrem the file is automatically downlaod instead of views in bootstrap model.
My code is Here,
View File is
function PDFOPEN(path) {
$.ajax({
type: 'post',
url: '{{ route('background.pdf.show') }}',
data: {
"_token": "{{ csrf_token() }}",
'path':path
},
success: function(data) {
if (data.status == true) {
} else {
toastr.error(data.message);
}
}
});
}
Controller File is
public function BackgroundVerifyShow(Request $request)
{
$file = \Storage::disk('s3')->url($request->path);
header('Content-Type: application/pdf');
header(sprintf("Content-disposition: inline;filename=%s", basename($file)));
#readfile($file);
}
So, How can read this file in ajax succss after bootsrep model

readfile function will return true or false.
public function BackgroundVerifyShow(Request $request)
{
$file = \Storage::disk('s3')->url($request->path);
header('Content-Type: application/pdf');
header(sprintf("Content-disposition: inline;filename=%s", basename($file)));
header("Content-Type: " . $asset->mime);
echo json_encode({status => readfile($file)});
}

PHP not receiving AJAX POST from js File

I have been trying to work this out for hours now and cannot find any answer that helps me.
This is the code in my javascript file
function sendMovement(cel) {
var name = "test";
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: '../game.php',
data: { 'Name': name },
success: function(response) {
console.log("sent");
}
});
}
This is the code from my PHP file (it is outside the js file)
if($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "POST") {
$data = $_POST['Name'];
console_log($data);
}
When debugging I can see that AJAX is sending a POST and it does print in the console "SENT" but it does not print $data
update: the function console_log() exists in my PHP file and it works
Try getting response in JSON format, for that your js should have dataType:'JSON' as shown below
JS Code:-
function sendMovement(cel) {
var name = "test";
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
dataType:'JSON', //added this it to expect data response in JSON format
url: '../game.php',
data: { 'Name': name },
success: function(response) {
//logging the name from response
console.log(response.Name);
}
});
}
and in the current server side code you are not echoing or returning anything, so nothing would display in ajax response anyways.
changes in php server code:-
if($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "POST") {
$response = array();
$response['Name'] = $_POST['Name'];
//sending the response in JSON format
echo json_encode($response);
}
I fixed it by doing the following:
To my game.php I added the following HTML code (for debugging purposes)
<p style = "color: white;" id="response"></p>
Also added in my game.php the following
if($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "POST") {
$gameID = $_POST['gameID'];
$coord = $_POST['coord'];
$player = $_POST['player'];
echo "gameID: " . $gameID . "\nCoord: " . $coord . "\nPlayer: " . $player;
}
AND in my custom.js I updated
function sendMovement(cel) {
var handle = document.getElementById('response');
var info = [gameID, cel.id, current_player];
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: '../game.php',
data: {
gameID: info[0],
coord: info[1],
player: info[2]
},
success: function(data) {
handle.innerHTML = data;
},
error: function (jqXHR) {
handle.innerText = 'Error: ' + jqXHR.status;
}
});
}

laravel download file with ajax request

I am trying to download the file by sending required parameters via ajax request.
I first stored the output file to public/exports directory and on success callback tried to redirect to that file path.
public function downloadResults() {
/* get filter control inputs */
$inputParams = $this->request->input();
.
.
.
try {
$exportArr = $this->product->downloadResults($filterArr); <-- this will store the file to public directory.
} catch (\Exception $e) {
$jsonArr['success'] = false;
$jsonArr['message'] = $e->getMessage();
echo json_encode($jsonArr);
}
$jsonArr['success'] = true;
$jsonArr['filename'] = $exportArr['file'];
echo json_encode($jsonArr);
}
On callback,
$.ajax({
data: filter_rules,
url: "{{ #url("/dmf/download-results") }}",
type: 'POST',
dataType: 'json',
success: function(resp) {
$("#overlay").hide();
window.location.href = "{{ asset('public/exports/') }}" + '/' + resp.filename;
},
});
}
It then redirects to http://localhost:8000/public/exports/result_set_download_1589388303.xls route which doesn't exist.
So how can I access that file now?
check out this package downloadjs
you can use Fetch API to get the BLOB data from the server and download the blob using downloadjs

AJAX Post to .PHP to JSON Data-set || PHP File

Afternoon guys/gals,
I'm relatively new to using AJAX to POST information to a JSON file and I am not sure what the .php file should look like to process it. I have very little experience with .php. Am I on the right track? I've looked a lot of examples but most of them only have pieces of the .php file to process it. I am trying to inject the "task" into the JSON file which I then use handlebars to read on another page.
function fnCreateTask() {
var url = "save.php";
var title = $("#TaskTitle").val();
var date = $("#TaskDate").val();
var desc = $("#TaskDescription").val();
var info = {
Title: title,
Date: date,
Description: desc
};
var body = JSON.stringify(info);
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: url,
contentType: 'application/json',
data: body,
dataType: 'json',
error: function (err) {console.log(err)},
success: function (data) {
alert('Task Created.');
location.reload();
}
});
}
<?php
$fp = fopen('careers.json', 'w');
fwrite($fp, $_POST = json_decode(file_get_contents('php://input'), true););
fclose($fp);
?>
$.ajax POST (or GET for that matter) data will be x-form encoded by default when sent to the server. You can do
on the client
//object for the data
var data = {
title: $("#TaskTitle").val(),
date: $("#TaskDate").val()
};
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "save.php",
data: data,
error: function (err) {console.log(err)},
success: function (data) {
alert('Task Created.');
location.reload();
}
});
and on the server
// as a separate object to be safe
$dataobj['title'] = $_POST['title'];
$dataobj['date'] = $_POST['date'];
// write json_encode object to file
file_put_contents ( 'filename.json' , json_encode($dataobj));
To create a JSON in PHP :
<?php
$array = array(
"name" => "toto",
"lastname" => "lafraise",
"age" => 33
);
$fp = fopen('careers.json', 'w');
fwrite($fp, json_encode($array));
fclose($fp);

Ajax upload not working codeigniter

I am using codeigniter 3.1 . I want to post upload data using ajax.
Ajax upload file not working. But when i post the simple form without ajax, it working fine.
I don't know why but no error in console.
HTML
<?php echo form_open_multipart(site_url("upload/post"), ['id' => 'uploader']) ?>
<input type="file" name="userfile" value="">
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />
<?php echo form_close() ?>
JAVASCRIPT
$('#uploader').submit(function (event) {
event.preventDefault();
$.ajax({
url: window.location.href + '/post',
type: "POST",
dataType: 'json',
data: new FormData(this)
});
});
CONTROLLERS
public function post()
{
$this->load->helper('url');
$this->load->helper('form');
$this->load->library("upload");
$file = $this->common->nohtml($this->input->post("userfile"));
$this->upload->initialize(array(
"upload_path" => 'upload',
"overwrite" => FALSE,
"max_filename" => 300,
"encrypt_name" => TRUE
));
$this->upload->do_upload('userfile');
$data = $this->upload->data();
$image_file = $data['file_name'];
}
Another approach to this would be passing to PHP the file encoded in base64:
get the selected file from #userfile field using $('#userfile').prop('files')[0];
transform the contents of that file into a base64 encoded string using FileReader.readAsDataURL(). We're going to call this content; Here's a similar question showing how to do and expanding the answer & possibilities;
send the AJAX passing both the filename and content strings;
now on CI, fetch the POST data;
base64_decode() the content;
fwrite() the result into a file using the filename.
That way also you could avoid POSTing all form fields.
try this..
Post data using FormData() formdata post file also.
To get all your form inputs, including the type="file" you need to use FormData object.
$('#post').on('click', function (e) {
var file_data = $("#userfile").prop("files")[0];
var form_data = new FormData();
form_data.append("userfile", file_data)
$.ajax({
url: window.location.href+'/post',
type: 'POST',
data: form_data,
async: false,
success: function (data) {
alert(data)
},
cache: false,
contentType: false,
processData: false
});
return false;
});

One of the issues is that file uploading uses a different mechanism than the other form <input> types. That is why $this->input->post("userfile") isn't getting the job done for you. Other answers have suggested using javascript's FormData and this one does too.
HTML
A very simple form for picking a file and submitting it. Note the change from a simple button to <input type="submit".... Doing so makes it a lot easier for the javascript to use the FormData object.
FormData documentation
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-2.2.2.js"></script>
<title>Upload Test</title>
</head>
<body>
<?= form_open_multipart("upload/post", ['id' => 'uploader']); ?>
<input type="file" name="userfile">
<p>
<input type="submit" value="Upload">
</p>
<?php echo form_close() ?>
<div id="message"></div>
<script>
$('#uploader').submit(function (event) {
event.preventDefault();
$.ajax({
url: window.location.href + '/post',
type: "POST",
dataType: 'json',
data: new FormData(this),
processData: false,
contentType: false,
success: function (data) {
console.log(data);
if (data.result === true) {
$("#message").html("<p>File Upload Succeeded</p>");
} else {
$("#message").html("<p>File Upload Failed!</p>");
}
$("#message").append(data.message);
}
});
});
</script>
</body>
</html>
JAVASCRIPT
Use FormData to capture the fields.
Note that instead of handling the button click we handle the submit event.
$('#uploader').submit(function (event) {
event.preventDefault();
$.ajax({
url: window.location.href + '/post',
type: "POST",
dataType: 'json',
data: new FormData(this),
processData: false,
contentType: false,
success: function (data) {
//uncomment the next line to log the returned data in the javascript console
// console.log(data);
if (data.result === true) {
$("#message").html("<p>File Upload Succeeded</p>");
} else {
$("#message").html("<p>File Upload Failed!</p>");
}
$("#message").append(data.message);
}
});
});
CONTROLLER
I've added some code that "reports" results to ajax and will display it on the upload page.
class Upload extends CI_Controller
{
public function __construct()
{
parent::__construct();
$this->load->helper(['form', 'url']);
}
public function index()
{
$this->load->view('upload_v');
}
public function post()
{
$this->load->library("upload");
$this->upload->initialize(array(
"upload_path" => './uploads/',
'allowed_types' => 'gif|jpg|png|doc|txt',
"overwrite" => FALSE,
"max_filename" => 300,
"encrypt_name" => TRUE,
));
$successful = $this->upload->do_upload('userfile');
if($successful)
{
$data = $this->upload->data();
$image_file = $data['file_name'];
$msg = "<p>File: {$image_file}</p>";
$this->data_models->update($this->data->INFO, array("image" => $image_file));
} else {
$msg = $this->upload->display_errors();
}
echo json_encode(['result' => $successful, 'message' => $msg]);
}
}
This will upload your file. Your work probably isn't done because I suspect that your are not saving all the file info you need to the db. That, and I suspect you are going to be surprised by the name of the uploaded file.
I suggest you study up on how PHP handles file uploads and examine some of the similar codeigniter related questions on file uploads here on SO.
Controller
public function upload()
{
$this->load->library('upload');
if (isset($_FILES['myfile']) && !empty($_FILES['myfile']))
{
if ($_FILES['myfile']['error'] != 4)
{
// Image file configurations
$config['upload_path'] = './upload/';
$config['allowed_types'] = 'jpg|jpeg|png';
$this->upload->initialize($config);
$this->upload->do_upload('myfile');
}
}
}
View
<form id="myform" action="<?php base_url('controller/method'); ?>" method="post">
<input type="file" name="myfile">
("#myform").submit(function(evt){
evt.preventDefault();
var url = $(this).attr('action');
var formData = new FormData($(this)[0]);
$.ajax({
url: url,
type: 'POST',
data: formData,
processData: false,
contentType: false,
success: function (res) {
console.log(res);
},
error: function (error) {
console.log(error);
}
}); // End: $.ajax()
}); // End: submit()
Let me know if any query
you need to submit the form not on click but on submit ... give the form an id and then on submit put ajax
HTML
<?php $attributes = array('id' => 'post'); ?>
<?php echo form_open_multipart(site_url("upload/post",$attributes), ?>
<input type="file" id="userfile" name="userfile" value="">
<button id="post">Submit</button>
<?php echo form_close() ?>
JAVASCRIPT
$('#post').on('submit', function () {
var formData = new FormData();
formData.append("userfile",$("#userfile")[0].files[0]);
$.ajax({
url: window.location.href+'/post',
type: "POST",
data: formData
});
CONTROLLERS
public function post()
{
$this->load->library("upload");
$file = $this->common->nohtml($this->input->post("userfile"));
$this->upload->initialize(array(
"upload_path" => 'upload',
"overwrite" => FALSE,
"max_filename" => 300,
"encrypt_name" => TRUE,
));
$data = $this->upload->data();
$image_file = $data['file_name'];
$this->data_models->update($this->data->INFO, array(
"image" => $image_file

Sending PDF file to server (PHP LARAVEL) using AJAX

I am trying to upload a file (PDF) by AJAX to my server to be handled by a php script in a laravel project. I cannot get the file to send and be received on the server.
In the network I can see that the POST request is getting a 200 response, however it is returning a response of 'file not present', which is the response from laravel.
Also in the post request the Request Payload contains the following
------WebKitFormBoundaryliAmA3wxs0bB32iZ--
Please see the js and html and php below:
html
<form enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" id="cv" name="cv"/>
<button id="file-send">Add</button>
</form>
js
$('#file-send').bind('click', function () {
$.ajax({
url:"test",
data: new FormData($("#cv")[0]),
type:'POST',
processData: false,
contentType: false,
success:function(response){
console.log(response);
},
});
});
LARAVEL CODE
public static function uploadingFile(){
if (Input::hasFile('cv'))
{
return "file present";
}
else{
return "file not present";
}
Try this:
JS:
$('#file-send').on('click', function() {
var file_data = $('#pic').prop('files')[0];
var form_data = new FormData();
form_data.append('file', file_data);
$.ajax({
url : 'upload.php', // point to server-side PHP script
dataType : 'text', // what to expect back from the PHP script, if anything
cache : false,
contentType : false,
processData : false,
data : form_data,
type : 'post',
success : function(output){
alert(output); // display response from the PHP script, if any
}
});
$('#pic').val(''); /* Clear the file container */
});
Php:
<?php
if ( $_FILES['file']['error'] > 0 ){
echo 'Error: ' . $_FILES['file']['error'] . '<br>';
}
else {
if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['file']['tmp_name'], 'uploads/' . $_FILES['file']['name']))
{
echo "File Uploaded Successfully";
}
}
?>
Try This Plugin to upload file
http://malsup.com/jquery/form/#file-upload
var options = {
beforeSubmit: showRequest,
success: showResponse,
dataType :'json'
};
$('#file-send').ajaxSubmit(options);
function showRequest()
{
//before uploading file
}
function showResponse()
{
//response after uploading file
}
