Recently I've been working on a website that has synchronized news with its Facebook page equivalent.
The main idea is to display on website 3 latest post from owner's facebook page.
So far I've applied for an App Review to use function oEmbed Read and the permission has been granted.
I've been using Facebook's graph API with success but I need to specify a proper URL link to specific post.
What I would like is to skip the part where I need to provide an endpoint so it will be automatized. Both for posts as well as for videos.
Endly, the code will be run from JS component that is applied on the website.
Do you have any ideas how to solve this?

I'm making a rails application, I want users to post their tweets by submitting a link [of the tweet]. I'm guessing its done with javascript/twittera api. Things needed to be extracted:
tweet owner
tweet + image
link to user profile page
Twitter REST API requires oAuth authentication. So, you would have to provide access token with all of your API calls. oAuth specification allows you to get access token through javascript as well. So you might want to look into that.
If you decide on using REST API, I would suggest moving this to server-side. You would be able to save user tweet urls and data.
Alternatively, if you are just playing with javascript and want to do this for yourself, you can simply see in your browser's developer tools where official Twitter widgets are getting tweet data and use that edges. I remember myself doing this several years ago.
But, please note. These urls are not public and official way of working with twitter data. So, they may change at any time and break your code.
I've been looking at how to embed a Facebook Page Post using this documentation. I like the way this looks, but it doesn't allow for the comments to also be shown at the same time. My goal is to create a dashboard of page post and display it on a TV in the hallway. None of the posts have more than 10 comments so it wouldn't get out of hand. Is there a way to accomplis this using the api I linked, or do I need to spin up my own iframe to include the comments?
It appears the best way to list the comments of a Facebook page post is to use the Facebook Graph API. Here is a direct link to the comments API:

I am looking for a way to show Facebook engagement on from our website on our Facebook page. IE, when someone likes/shares etc. a page on the website, that that activity be reflected by our Facebook page in some way.
I was planning on using the graph API calls to do page updates, but the permissions are granted to users, not to the app itself, meaning this would only be possible for existing administrators, defeating the whole purpose (Perhaps a bit obvious in hindsight).
Is there a good, clean way of posting page likes/shares of our web pages to our Facebook page feed?
Notes:
I'm working in PHP and/or client side JS
A high volume of posts drowning our regular content is not likely at the moment, however, advice about how to manage such a beast in the long run might be helpful
If I understood correctly and want to share content from Facebook into your Website, the behavior you mention used to exist via the Activity Feed or Recommendations Feed. However, it has been deprecated since Graph API version 2.3.
If what you want is to update comments from people in your Website to your FB Page, you could implement something in your backend which listens to content uploaded and uses your Page Access Token to create custom stories using your user's data. As you mention, it won't happen in the name of people, but you could be creative and make the text narrate what people did on your website. Maybe even use OpenGraph for this.
I develop mobile websites for my clients. This particular client would like some facebook wall activity to be displayed on the website. I have looked into the facebook graph api and am getting confused on authentication.
I need the blah in https://graphs.facebook.com/clientsfacebookid/feed?access_token=blah
in order to grab the info i want. I read about authentication and all of that but it doesn't seem to serve my purposes.. For example a lot of the stuff I read about getting a token is related to creating apps and stuff - which is not what I'm trying to do. A lot of ways to authenticate redirect users to log in or grant access to the information but this also doesn't seem like it fits my scenario.
Should I just talk to my client and get them to send me an access code or set up some stream so I can grab an updated access code anytime I need it OR is there some built in functionality in the API that I could benefit from using.
Any thoughts?
P.S. I am trying to implement this via an ajax call in javascript.
Thanks!
What you'll need to do is create a Facebook App and have your client add this to their page. You can then get an OAuth token for this app and use it to query the client's feed. See the Facebook documentation for authenticating as an app for details.
It's actually far simpler if you just want to grab the data from the page. Create an App, but you don't need to add it to the actual page. You can generate an App Access Token by following the instruction on the Facebook Developer Website.
Then, all you need to do is call the Graph API with the generated access_token. E.g.:
https://graph.facebook.com/{page_id}/feed?access_token={app_access_token}
You can then use the data returned by Facebook to display selected posts from the page.
The Page Admin doesn't need to add the app to the page, and this method can be used to scrape any published page. The posts on Pages is public anyway, you just need an access_token to access the page.
If you want a simple way to learn and have an example of a working model try out fourgefeed.com its a simple framework with a simple to implement example kinda like jquery.
I have a userscript (read: my Javascript on someone else's site) that allows users to share their IMDb votes with their Facebook friends. I just generate a URL for a Facebook share page with all of the custom information needed for the specific situation, something like "So and so gave the film Forrest Gump a rating of 9/10 on IMDb" with links to a thumbnail and the movie page itself, and allow the user to add their their thoughts on the movie itself.
script with Facebook share dialog http://s3.amazonaws.com/uso_ss/10985/large.png?1284850755
Until recently, I accomplished this by passing all of my parameters to http://www.facebook.com/connect/prompt_feed.php. Yesterday this broke, and it appears that Facebook is deprecating this sharing method in favor of using their Dialog code. (All of the official FB docs now refer to prompt_feed.php as the "old" way of sharing.)
I found a temporary workaround here that just adds a display=touch variable to the prompt_feed query string. This URL is working for the time being (go ahead and click it!), but I fear that it's a loophole that Facebook will close as soon as they realize it's still available, and I'll be stuck without a way to post stuff to FB.
The current methods of posting to Facebook seem to be 1) using the Dialog URL mentioned above and 2) via Javascript using FB.ui Both of these methods appear to require a Facebook App ID, and when I registered a new FB app for this purpose and tried to use it to create a http://www.facebook.com/dialog/feed request, I got an error because my app doesn't "own" the IMDb page that it's linking to. Any ideas about how to accomplish my purposes going forward?
to "own" the imdb page you just need to set the canvas url to the imdb domain.
you can simply use this url:
http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://www.your-url-to-share.com
Just modify or change the http://www.your-url-to-share.com part in the above URL with url of the webpage or article that you want to share on the facebook feeds.
If you use the sharer.php and want text plus a link add the &t={text} to the url. For example:
http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://www.your-url-to-share.com&t=text-to-share
