I'm in the process of creating a single page site that relies on the scroll-behavior:smooth CSS property and the method .scrollIntoView({behavior:'smooth'}). I use these mainly to provide a smooth transition between sections, not critical but aesthetically pleasing. Suddenly this feature doesn't seem to be working in Google Chrome. I tested out on Firefox and Chrome mobile and in these works.

Temporarily I've been using https://github.com/iamdustan/smoothscroll , and it solves scrollIntoView, but other plugins like PhotoSwipe are not handling transitions well.
Therefore, what is the best fix here? smoothscroll solves part of it, but apparently not everything.
Is this a bug in Chrome?
scroll-behavior:smooth doesn't seem to be the only property affected, what other thing could have stopped working, if any?

I faced the same issue some time ago, and I came up with this solution:
Open new tab
Go to Chrome's Experimental Flags (chrome://flags)
Search for 'smooth scrolling'
Set the flag to enabled

When accessing the bootstrap v 4.3.1 documentation in firefox v 65.0.1, I noticed that the javascript is not working properly, for example, the carousel component is not following its normal flow, which is to move to the next slide with the its transition animation, other components have the same problem. I have a site with this version of bootstrap, which is not working because of this problem, and in other browsers it works normally and in the console does not present any problem, I do not know exactly if the problem is in firefox or javascript bootstrap, I tested in other machines with old versions of firefox and worked normally, but after updating firefox gave this problem again.
I've been able to solve the problem. What happens is that in the performance settings of my computer the "Animate controls and elements in Windows" option was cleared, I do not know if this is a bug, as this is the first time I see a windows customization setting influencing loading of a website, anyway I left the link of the video with the solution.

Hello I am using Visual Studio 2012 Student edition with angualr js 1.4.3 and ui-bootstrap-tpls-0.12.0 to scroll images.
I have applied Demo code.
The code is working in firefox and IE but not running in chrome (version 52.0.2743.82 m).
For some security issue I can't share my code here so please look at the demo I have provided and demo is running but in my case in my project it's running in all the browser except chrome the code is same. In chrome is stuck after moving to second image and on click event is also not running.
Please someone who knows help to solve this big issue.

Is there any reason you can't update to the most recent version of all your third party libraries? If not - I would advise you update all libs and see if the issue persists.
An alert/prompt called from chrome extension background pake is shown off the screen (or partially in top left screen). This bug has been fixed in canary build by now, see
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=113899 , but I need to get it working as soon as possible. Do you have any ideas how to work this around using javascript?

You can't position the alert or prompt dialogs in browsers. You have to wait for the bug fix to propagate to the stable branch.
An alternative option is to inject an HTML lightbox into the current tab but that would be a lot of additional work.
One way to go is to further investigate the canary source code, found at the Chromium project on Google Code.
The issue is reported on the Chromium issues page, and the fix seem to be found at this revision on the Chromium sources.
You can check out the diff and compile a workaround based on their solution.
After updating Google Chrome browser to the latest 15.0.874.106 version (under Windows 7), my site is experiencing some weird flickering bug.
The text shadows are displaying completely wrong, the text itself is fuzzy and unclear, some parts of code don't work anymore (e.g. right floating, fixed menu)... etc.
For a couple of seconds the site is displayed fine, then it flickers all of the sudden (while still loading) and then the rendering gets messed up. (I think it has maybe some problems with loading of Google Maps v3)
The funny thing is that the old version of Chrome (before updating, on my other computer) is still displaying the site without any problems, and there haven't been any changes in the code in the meanwhile.
In other browsers (as i said, even in the old chrome) everything is OK. Firebug and Chrome's code inspector (CTRL+SHIFT+J) don't show any errors in the code. I have been doing some digging on the Internet and here as well, and I havent't found anything useful.

I have done same settings changes as mentioned above post and now, that weird flicker got stopped, below are the details....
Open Chrome Browser
Click on Settings menu option
Click on Advance setting link in Settings page
Un-Check "Use Hardware acceleration when available" checkbox
Restart you chrome browser
Happy Browsing....... :)
Also make sure to disable not only accelerated-compositing, but also accelerated-2d-canvas.
This is how I start google-chrome on Linux:
/opt/google/chrome/google-chrome %U --user-data-dir=/root --disable-accelerated-compositing --disable-accelerated-2d-canvas
On Windows, you might want to omit
--user-data-dir=/root
Josip Filipović apology where to do that (in Win7 by entering -disable-accelerated-compositing in properties > target field) that part disables hardware acceleration.
I'm using a lot of JQuery in a web application that I am building for a client and I want to find an javascript implementation of a modal dialog that is reasonably stable across the following browser set.
IE 7+
FF 2+
Chrome and Safari
I've tried a couple of jQuery plugins but there always seems to be artifacts in one of these browsers.

jqModal seems to be more stable but I have an issue in IE7 where the dialog immediately disappears after popping up. I suspect a js event isn't being canceled or something. I'll have a bit more of a play.
I used jqModal few times and I'm very satisfied. It is pretty configurable yet very light weight.
Have you tried YUI? I'm not sure what the support is for Chrome but I've had good luck with it for IE and Firefox and allegedly it works with Safari.
We currently use BlockUI. It's awesome, in word. Can be styled via css (of course), blocks any element and seems stable, certainly in block IE and Firefox....

I went through a similar exercise, tried most of the plugins I could find. I used YUI for quite a while with good results; the only issue I ran into was resizing centered modals, which is quite an obscure use case.
