How to add role to user after message is sent - javascript

I am using Discord.js to make my bot.
I want to add a role to a user after they use a command.
The command is !attack it will "kill" the person you pinged.
I think it might have something to do with Intents but I'm not sure. Here are my Intents right now,

To give a user a role, you need the MANAGE_ROLES permission and the bot also cannot give a role which has a higher position than its own. Other than that, the syntax for adding a role is pretty simple. First, you have to fetch the role, then you can add it to the user. To fetch the role, you can use .get() if you have the role id or .find() if you have the role name. Your code might look something like this:

I want to change nickname of discord bot

I want to change the name of a discord bot and I have read numerous tutorials and Stack Overflow posts and I still cannot get it. The code is primarily taken from open source bot code, so I know it works (something with my bot setup maybe?)
As I understand it, this code loops through each guild the bot is a member of and sets the nickname.
I found the botId by right clicking the bot in the channel and copying ID.

The bot shows up in the channel (after using oauth2 url), so I'm assuming that means they are a member of the guild.
However, when running this code the bot is not found. I've tried several things from other posts like guild.array() to try and see a full list of the members in the guild, but nothing has worked.

I would suggest using this module code:

And use it in this way in your main bot code: setNickname(client, price)

Oh wait, I just realised you didn't use the correct intents (guild members), so you definitely need to use guild.me (as written above by me) or use guild.members.fetch() as it fetches members which aren't cached.

I am trying to make a discord bot automatically send a one-time-use invite when a user reacts to my message. I'm a bit new and could use help :)

I copied the skeleton of another user, and tried editing a few things but I just can't get the bot to a spot where when I react with the message it automatically generates the code and sends it.
My intentions are to react to a permanent message and have the reactee receive a DM from the bot with a unique link. Ideally they can only receive the link one time, even if they leave and join the channel again. I'm sure I've got some big errors in here for my functionality, I'd appreciate some guidance!

Also on a side note for future references you shouldnt use the message event since its deprecated. You can use client#messageCreate

EDIT: I found out the problem i didn't have a intent flag GUILD_MEMBERS
and also thanks UltraX that helped also
Basically, the reason is simple, you need to go to your dev portal then after choosing your bot/application just go to bot and you need to enable member intents Server Member Intent after that it should work, if it didn't just give it a 10 minute, then try again!
The best way to ensure you get a channel object within the event is to use the guild property off the emitted member.

You can use GuildChannel.updateOverwrites() to update the permissions on a channel.

Using this function, you can provide a User or Role Object or ID of which to update permissions (in your case, you can use gRole).
Then, you can list the permissions to update followed by true, to allow, or false, to reject.

How to fix a complex Discord command in JS based off of webhooks and roles

I'm working on a command where when you do the command, d!woa the following happens
A webhook gets created with a certain name, Then a role gets created with the channel name, after that the bot watches if there's a webhook with that certain name for the channel, and just sees if anyone sends a message in that channel. If it does, then the bot will add that role with the certain name.
The problem is that there's this error : TypeError: Cannot read property 'guild' of undefined
The error will most likely appear at the end of the code provided.
I've tried rearranging the code, defining guild, and defining message. It does not seem to work even after trying all of this. I only want it to rely off of the ID instead of Name to be accurate for this command.

I expect a command without the TypeError, and the command able to create a role and a webhook (for a marker), and the role is automatically set so that the user that has the role won't be able to speak in the channel, and whoever speaks in the channel will get the role.
The actual output is a TypeError: Cannot read property 'guild' of undefined but a role and webhook are created.

You did not define member. Use message.member.guild...
