We are using Google ads API and we are getting the refresh_token and access_token from the oauthLibrary.
Now due to some reason (Majorly cause we are using JavaScript and there's no library for JavaScript officially from Google) we are relying on the REST API.
I want to fetch a list of Accounts attached to the the given access token. (no matter manager or not Manager) I just need the list.
I have tried the following endpoint
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v1/customers:listAccessibleCustomers
But I am getting 404 Not found in that, So I think it is discontinued, Any idea how I can fetch the list through REST_API.
I think that you just need to change the v1 for v9. The official documentation about the API has a similar sample:
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v9/customers:listAccessibleCustomers

I want to extend a project in a way that it can save files to Google Drive. To learn how this works I tried the Quick Start Example from the docs: https://developers.google.com/drive/v3/web/quickstart/js
Following the example I noticed that the example is creating an API key in the developer console. Following the same steps only returns a Client secret. I suspected this to be a naming problem and hoped that the two are the same.
Unfortunately, the example code does not work but loggs the following error:
{"error":{"errors":[{"domain":"usageLimits","reason":"keyInvalid","message":"Bad Request"}],"code":400,"message":"Bad Request"}}
In the request to:
https://content.googleapis.com/discovery/v1/apis/drive/v3/rest?pp=0&fields=kind%2Cname%2Cversion%2CrootUrl%2CservicePath%2Cresources%2Cparameters%2Cmethods%2CbatchPath%2Cid&key=[[my key]]
I checked that the right secret appears in the request url. Setting var API_KEY = '<YOUR_API_KEY>'; to an empty string is a workaround.
How can I debug this further? where do i get the right api key?
I run into this error recently. It is certain that Google Documentation is usually quite good, but in this case, the Google Drive API (https://developers.google.com/drive/api/v3/quickstart/js) it wasn't that clear. For this API in particular, you will require two credentials.
Under your project credentials section, you must create an OAuth 2.0 client for a web application and a API Key.
(Sorry for the Spanish in the screenshots)
Regarding the OAuth 2.0 client, not that I have restricted it to http://localhost
Concerning the API Key, note that I have restricted it to my Google Drive API
Then, in the index.html provided by the documentation, you can set your CLIENT_ID to the one obtained in the OAuth 2.0 client generation, and the API_KEY to the the one generated in the API Key process.
{"error":{"errors":[{"domain":"usageLimits","reason":"keyInvalid","message":"Bad Request"}],"code":400,"message":"Bad Request"}}
Means that the request you have made has not been properly authenticated.
API key is for accessing public data. Oauth2 client id and secret will be used to access private user data which file.list is. So i dont think this is a naming problem. Your code should be popping up requesting access of the user.
I have searched many links and read documents related to google api key, but every time I am getting the only error of Your site URL to be authorized
I am creating a PhoneGap hybrid application where I am not sure if which URL I have to pass to google api key referrer so I am stuck here
What I am using for google script is:
<script src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?v=3&key=MY_API_KEY&sensor=false" type="text/javascript"></script>
Updated
I have already created Browse Key using google console but now What I have to pass in referrer link ( ? ) while I am creating a cordova application
I Dont know if this will help anyone but I spent a good hour trying to figure out this problem and ended up realizing I had the wrong API enabled.
You need Google Maps JavaScript API enabled. Also sometimes you need to specify https.
1.Leave it blank
2.You need to enable the google maps api for your project.
You need to enable the google maps api for your project.
if your API key have no limitation and it still not work - trying to add signed_in=true to url. It helps for me.
This error means that the current URL loading the Maps JavaScript API has not been added to the list of allowed referrers. Please check the referrer settings of your API key in the Cloud Console. (source: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error)
Go to the Google Cloud credentials page to add your website url: https://console.cloud.google.com/projectselector2/google/maps-apis/credentials
Select the API key that you want to set a restriction on. The API
key property page appears.
Under Key restrictions, set the following restrictions:
Application restrictions:
To accept requests from the list of website that you supply, select HTTP referrers (web sites) from the list of Application restrictions.
Specify one or more referrer web sites. For example, *.google.com accepts all sites ending in google.com, such as https://developers.google.com.
Note: file:// referers need a special representation to be added to the key restriction. The file:// part should be replaced with __file_url__ before being added to the key restriction. For example, file:///path/to/ should be formatted as __file_url__//path/to/*. After enabling file:// referers, it is recommended you regularly check your usage, to make sure it matches your expectations.

You must include an API key with every Maps JavaScript API request. In the following example, replace YOUR_API_KEY with your API key.
<script async defer src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=YOUR_API_KEY&callback=initMap"></script>

I am trying to integrate Google Maps Javascript API with my Rails Web Application running on locally on a VM. I can't get the Javascript code from the API. The sample I am following is this.
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial?csw=1
And the error I receive while trying to load the code is this.
GET
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=MY_KEY&callback=initMap
net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
Note I am sending my actual key in the call to API.

Google Maps v3 api for localhost not working
It is possible to create a Browser API Key for test purposes that only works only for your machines IP or localhost. However make sure you do not deploy that to production :)
Just go to google developer console and and add one. I believe you can also add one for something like: *localhost*. I've done that before for some of their other services.
It depends on if you are using Google Maps API for "work" or not. See these docs:
If you're switching from the free API services to a Maps API for Work implementation, you must remove the key parameter from your requests.

Currently, I can use Youtube Data API to search for videos. However, I must be logged in onto my google account. Is it possible to conduct searches without logging in into an arbitrary google account? This way any user can just search without logging in.
I am using Youtube api in javascript
Search is a special case, where users don't have to log in through OAuth2. But you will need to provide your API key to authorize the access uf API usage.
Here's the example. HTML and JS
You'll need an API key so that any searching done through your app can be properly analyzed, routed, etc. If you're using v3 of the data API (which you should now that it's in production), you can easily request a key as you would get access to any google API:
Visit https://code.google.com/apis/console and register your
project (don't forget to give it a project ID)
From that project dashboard, select the Youtube API under the
'Services' tab.
Since you just want to do searching, under the 'API
Access' tab you can create a browser app key (part of the 'Simple
API Access' section). That generated key should be appended to all
REST calls.
If you still need to use v2 of the API for some reason, you can create your key here:

I wish to access Google Analytics data through their API using Javascript.
Basically I want to display on a website a list of the most visited pages for the past week/month. I can only use javascript for this.
I found this example on the official site http://code.google.com/p/google-api-javascript-client/wiki/Samples#Google_Analytics_API
Is there any way of accessing Google Analytics data without authentication? Do I need to somehow load a username/password in? To be clear, I want a website (that has Google Analytics tracking) to load analytics data from its own account.
I thought there might be a way to make certain data public, then query that somehow... Or perhaps create a limited user to access it. I can find no examples of either.
You can't access GA withouth authentication for rather the same reason you cannot access you bank account without authentication (because that would allow everybody else to access your account without authentication which might cause some inconvenience).
Google provides a complete example for GA access via Javascript: https://developers.google.com/analytics/solutions/articles/hello-analytics-api. However I don't think that's what you want (I think for that you need to be logged in to Google to actually retrieve data).
You could however use Google Apps Script to pull data into a Google Spreadsheet and embed that into your page (at least I think that should be safe).
Updated: Google has since released the Google Analytics superProxy which allows to share Analytics data with the public safely.
