This is my HTML structure I want to check every two productItem div how can I check every two div
which JavaScript loop structure I need to use
<div class="custompsps">
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
</div>
<div class="custompsps">
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
<div class="ProductItem">
</div>
</div>
You can select all elements, and then loop over them,
This is an example if you want to add classes
let allProds = document.querySelectorAll(".ProductItem");
for(let i = 0; i< allProds.length; i+2){
allProds[i].classList.add("everyOddItem");
}

Using JQuery to toggle div visibility

Hi I want to hide and show a text Cod Shipping charge
`<div class="row">
<div class="cell" id="well">Cod Shipping charge</div>
<div class="cell free"><?php echo $priceCurrency->getCurrency()->getCurrencySymbol();?> <span class="text-shipping-charge"><?php echo number_format($shippingrate,2,'.',''); ?></span></div>
</div>`
when clicking on the payment below code
<div class="payment-option">
<div class="head" >Part Payment (COD + Online)</div>
<div class="content">
<div class="cod-block">
<div class="cash-option">
<div class="pay-option">
<div class="option-info">20% Online (Now)</div>
<div class="option-cash">₹ 12,650</div>
</div>
<div class="pay-option">
<div class="option-info">80% Cash On Delivery</div>
<div class="option-cash">₹ 50,000</div>
</div>
</div>
Please Help
You mention JQuery so using that it could be something like:
$('.payment-option').click(function(){
$('.row').show();
});
Though class .row doesn't sound very unique so you may want to assign that element a unique id like
<div id="cod_shipping_charge" class="row">
then you can use:
$('#cod_shipping_charge').show();
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#btnNewGroup").click(function() {
$("#newGroup").toggle();
});
});
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div>
<button id="btnNewGroup">New Group</button>
<div id="newGroup" style="display:none">Div Content</div>
</div>
We have issues with our code:
function remove_single_entry_if_empty() {
$(".single-entry").each(function() {
var ids = $(this).attr('id');
let a = (ids);
for ( let i = 0; i < a.length; a++ ) {
let x = document.getElementById(a);
if ( x.getElementsByClassName('entry_times-wrapper').length === 1 ) {
var c = x.getElementsByClassName('entry_times-wrapper').length === 1;
x.style.display = 'none';
}
}
});
}
HTML Structure:
<div class="single-entry" id="9127">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
<!-- this is where the <a> tags is. -->
</div>
</div>
</div>
We have an HTML tag with the class single-entry. This class exist multiple times but each with a unique ID specified. The class name called entry_times-wrapper (which is a child element of variable X) has also multiple <a> tags.
What we want to do: if all items in class entry_times-wrapper are hidden (with display none), then hide the single-entry class for only that specific ID. For now, this code as described above will actually hide all these single entries.
How can we do this correctly?
To achieve this you can use a single line of jQuery which selects all the .single-entry elements which contain a hidden .entry_times-wrapper and then hide them. Try this:
$('.single-entry:has(.entry_times-wrapper:hidden)').hide();
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="single-entry" id="9127">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
Visible...
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="single-entry" id="9128">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
Not visible...
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="single-entry" id="9120">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
Visible...
</div>
</div>
</div>
Here is a working demo with several <div>s and <a>s:
$("button").click(function(){ $(".single-entry").add("a").show();});
$(".entry_times-wrapper a").click(function(){ $(this).hide();checkVis();})
// this needs to be called every time an <a> element is hidden or made visible again:
function checkVis(){
$(".single-entry").each(function(){
$(this).toggle($(".entry_times-wrapper a:visible",this).length>0)
});
}
.single-entry {background-color:#ccc; padding:6px;
border: 1px black solid; margin: 4px}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<button>show all links again</button><br>
<div class="single-entry" id="9127">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
first link<br>
second link<br>
third link
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="single-entry" id="9128">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
fourth link<br>
fifth link<br>
sixth link
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="single-entry" id="9129">
<div class="entries_wrapper">
<div class="entry_times-wrapper">
seventh link<br>
eighth link<br>
ninth link
</div>
</div>
</div>
I have 2 grid divs, one with images and the other with a list of names. Each element within each of the divs corresponds to another within the other div (eg. .image-1 corresponds with .name-1).
When you hover over one of the elements, I want that element AND the corresponding element in the other div to both disappear.
For example, when you hover over "Name 1", I want that and the corresponding image to both disappear. Here's my general html setup:
<body>
<div class="wrapper">
<div class="picture-grid grid">
<div class="grid-box image-1">
<img src="images/image1.png" />
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-2">
<img src="images/image2.png" />
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-3">
<img src="images/image3.png" />
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-4">
<img src="images/image4.png" />
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-5">
<img src="images/image5.png" />
</div>
</div>
<div class="names-grid grid">
<div class="grid-box name-1">Name 1</div>
<div class="grid-box name-2">Name 2</div>
<div class="grid-box name-3">Name 3</div>
<div class="grid-box name-4">Name 4</div>
<div class="grid-box name-5">Name 5</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
I'm sorry, I've been stuck on this for hours and would love some help! Here's a fiddle:

One solution using JQuery is to add data-* attributes to the HTML markup. In this approach we going to add a data-target attribute that will hold the class of the related element that should be hidden (with opacity: 0) when the current element is hovered. You can use JQuery.data() to work with data-* attributes. Check the next simplified example, from where I hope you can understand the underlying idea.
$(".grid-box").hover(
// Handler for hover-in.
function()
{
$(this).css("opacity", 0);
$($(this).data("target")).css("opacity", 0);
},
// Handler for hover-out.
function()
{
$(this).css("opacity", 1);
$($(this).data("target")).css("opacity", 1);
}
);
.grid-box {
width: 100px;
background-color: skyblue;
}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="wrapper">
<div class="picture-grid grid">
<div class="grid-box image-1" data-target=".name-1">
IMAGE 1
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-2" data-target=".name-2">
IMAGE 2
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-3" data-target=".name-3">
IMAGE 3
</div>
<div class="grid-box image-4" data-target=".name-4">
IMAGE 4
</div>
</div>
<hr>
<div class="names-grid grid">
<div class="grid-box name-1" data-target=".image-1">
Name 1
</div>
<div class="grid-box name-2" data-target=".image-2">
Name 2
</div>
<div class="grid-box name-3" data-target=".image-3">
Name 3
</div>
<div class="grid-box name-4" data-target=".image-4">
Name 4
</div>
</div>
</div>
You can do it this way, I suppose number of images and names is the same, and they are in the same order. Means image number one is first in its div, and name number one is first in its div.
//getting all pictures by <a> tag
var pictures = document.querySelector(".picture-grid").querySelectorAll("a");
//getting all names by <a> tag
var names = document.querySelector(".names-grid").querySelectorAll("a");
//attach reaction to "hover" event to all pictures and names
for (var i = 0; i < pictures.length; i++){
pictures[i].addEventListener("mouseenter", hide.bind(i));
names[i].addEventListener("mouseenter", hide.bind(i));
}
//run function on "hover" event, i = index of chosen image/name
function hide (){
var i = this;
pictures[i].style.opacity = 0;
names[i].style.opacity = 0;
}
I've this loop in WordPress that displays post.
<div class="parent-div" id="unuqueIdHereForEachBlock">
<div class="child-1"></div>
<div class="child-2">
<div class="sub-child">
</div>
</div>
</div>
This 'parent-div' is in loop and it repeats 20-30 times for each post. For some of the posts, sub-child div would have no content, and in that case I want to hide 'child-1' div just for that particular post.
Solution in jQuery, JavaScript or PHP is fine.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks.
You can try following
$(".parent-div").each((i,e) => {
if(!$(e).find(".child-2 .sub-child").text().trim()) $(e).find(".child-1").hide();
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="parent-div" id="unuqueIdHereForEachBlock">
<div class="child-1">Text 1</div>
<div class="child-2">
<div class="sub-child">
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="parent-div" id="unuqueIdHereForEachBlock">
<div class="child-1">Text 2</div>
<div class="child-2">
<div class="sub-child">
Some text
</div>
</div>
</div>
Try this with jQuery, where you can iterate over each parent div and check for text. if text length is zero then hide child div
$(function(){
$(".parent-div").each(function(){
var text = $(this).find(".child-2 > .sub-child").text();
if(text.length==0) {
$(this).find(".child-1").hide();
}
});
});
I need to rearrange the div order of an RSS. Each item has 3 divs. I will need to move the div with the class "itemDate" before the div with the class "itemTitle" (see markup below). Should I use the function .each(); is there a jQuery out of the box solution for this or do I need to write my own function?
<div id="RSS">
<div class="col-md-3 item">
<div class="itemTitle"></div>
<div class="itemDate"></div>
<div class="itemContent"></div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3 item">
<div class="itemTitle"></div>
<div class="itemDate"></div>
<div class="itemContent"></div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3 item">
<div class="itemTitle"></div>
<div class="itemDate"></div>
<div class="itemContent"></div>
</div>
</div>
There is a function in jQuery called prependTo, which moves a element to the beginning of a given target. Check it out the example below.
$('.itemDate').each(function(){
$(this).prependTo($(this).parent());
});
This code just move every itemDate into the beginning of every respective parent.
