I use jquery to put html dynamically but it is not working...
Here is what I have tried
$("#root").innerHtml("<h1>Hello</h1>")

You should not use innerHtml instead use html()
You can do as below
$("#root").html("<div>Hello</div>")

I am trying to convert sSlack mention markup to custom string so I can use it for better presentation.
Example input: #[user a name ](12345) (hi) #[user b name](67890)
Required output: <#12345> (hi) <#67890>
I have tried input.replaceAll(/#\[(.*?)\]\(.*?\)/g, "<#$1>"), but this prints the user name and not ID.

I tried using $(html).attr("dir","rtl")
But it returns undefined. Can somebody help as I'm new to jQuery
There is an error on your code, the "html" tag should be written with quotes as folows:
$('html').attr("dir","rtl")

Using jQuery
console.log($(this).html());
console.log($(this).data('section'));
yields
Include Children?
and
undefined
and I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. The <a> here is inside an un-ordered list <li> tag, but I'm not sure why that should matter. Thanks in advance!
As you said it is <li> enclosing the <a>
then it should be:-
console.log($('li a').html());
console.log($('li a').data('section'));
Example:-
console.log($('li a').html());
console.log($('li a').data('section'));
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<li>Include Children?</li>
Note:- you can do $(this).find('a').data('section'); also based on your HTML structure.

I can not figure out why I can't access the result elements.
Whats getting returned:
[{"customSurfaceMaster": {"CSMasterID":1,"CSName":"Q17","QuestionId":12,"OpType":"22","OpFlag":null,"ChartType":"Bar"},"UserCSID":1,"UserId":2,"CSMasterID":1,"PeriodType":null,"PeriodStartValue":null,"PeriodEndValue":null,"ImpLevel":1,"DisplayOrder":1,"Visible":true}]
Trying to access here:
var Tile = BindTiles(result.customSurfaceMaster.chartType, result.customSurfaceMaster.CSname, result.ImpLevel);
The error:
result.customSurfaceMaster is undefined
Try this:
var Tile = BindTiles(result.customSurfaceMaster[0].chartType, result.customSurfaceMaster[0].CSname, result.ImpLevel);

$("td[id^='td0_']")
My question is how can I replace 0 in the example above with a variable myvar?
You should be able to use:
$("td[id^='td" + myvar + "_']")
Use the quotes appropriately.
$("td[id^='td" + myvar +"_']")
