username and data not defined NodeJs

I'm trying to open places.ejs file by clicking the submit button on show.js page, just like the show.ejs page opens on clicking the submit button on new.ejs file, but a reference error is occurring. Please help me fix the error. I'm attaching herewith my routes.js code and a part of my index.js code Any help would be highly appreciable. Thank you

In show function, you need to get username like this:
req.params.username
And for data I don't see where do you reference it, in witch line to do get an error?

Data and salt arguments required error (authorization)

I'm a beginner in NodeJS and I've tried to make an authentication form using NodeJS + express. I want to make a validation for my password (when "confirmpassword" is different than "password" it should return nothing. Unfortunately, I keep getting "data and salt arguments required". I tried in different ways, to put some conditions, but I keep getting this error. Any ideas how I should make it work?

In userInput, you are not passing confirmpassword property.

In create method, you are accessing it.

cpwd is null, and that's the reason for the error.
body.confirmpassword = bcrypt.hashSync(cpwd, 10);//**cpwd is null**
As per the docs, data is required argument and this cannot be null.
hashSync(data, salt)
data - [REQUIRED] - the data to be encrypted.
salt - [REQUIRED] - the salt to be used to hash the password.

post method in express on other other router

how can i make a post request from a router, it works on the "/" pages but not working on the "/forget" page. when i replace "/forget" page to "/" pages it works fine but when the post method is from "/forget" it give error. here is my code

How to get the body before uploading file in multer?

In my project the admins have the ability to upload MP3 files and submit parameters to it like song name.
I decided using multer middleware for handling multipart/form-data.
My problem is req.body.gender returns always undefined, because I have to use it inside the uploadSong listener. I want to upload the song when the gender is zero.

(A) Not possible with multer.
(B) Use busboy. It uses streams to parse the form data and so you can get form elements values before the file upload and the fields are made available as events.
(C) Another solution (if you prefer using multer) is to use multer but add a header to send the value of the parameter to check before file upload. Headers are available as soon as the request reaches the server.

by using multer form-data parser you can parse form and access req.body before multer starts just register this app middle-ware:

NodeJS error when rendering page:Cast to ObjectId failed for value "styles.css" at path "_id"

The error prevents my webpage from being rendered. As mentioned in the title, the error lies in styles.css, when I take this file out, I do not get any errors.
styles.css is included in a separate headers.ejs file which is added in all pages, but there is only one route for which the error is shown(/cats/new). I put up some some logs around my routes and it seems when I enter /cats/new/, I am automatically redirected to a new route (get /cats/:id). I am wondering if this is the cause of the error?

It seems you’re including styles.css using a relative path in your template.
So when you navigate to /cats/:id, it tries to load /cats/styles.css.
In order to avoid that, you have to use an absolute path (e.g.: /styles.css or /public/styles.css – I’d recommend serving static files from a dedicated base path).
