Load specific image to HTML file upload on button click - javascript

My script has an HTML file upload button in which I can upload an image by selecting any. I am creating functionality to load a specific image by clicking a button. Like if I click a button the HTML file upload value should load this URL image.

I can't send data to the server using AJAX

The situation is as follows: I upload a drag and drop image to the server. Everything would have been simpler, but first you need to embed the dropped image into the DOM tree, after which it can be removed from there, and the rest need to be sent to the server. At the drop event, I add the file itself and the picture className to the associative array. After the user is ready to send all the remaining pictures to the server, I add the files that have the classes of the remaining pictures as the key to the new array and form FormData of it. But the server does not receive files. Help!

How to add an attachement to an email (not stored in file disk)

I want to open outlook with an attachement (zip) using Javascript.
It's working fine if the file in in some directory in the computer client.

Preview images before upload

I have a page with four images for the user to select. I want the user to be able to preview each image on the site before upload.
The JavaScript code below works for only one image but I would like it to work for multiple images uploaded via <input type="file">.
What will be the best way to do this?

How to read files from folder

Found this article which showing how to distinguish file upload from directory How to handle dropped folders but they not explain how I can handle the directory upload. Having difficulties to find any example. Anyone know how to get File instance of each file in directory?

After you drag some file from your disk. This event.dataTransfer.file is your fileList object.
Your could create a formData then
Add files from fileList to formData one by one.
In the end you could submit formData to server with Ajax

How to set the file download location for chrome extension Using JavaScript?

Hi i am downloading selected links using chrome extension but I can't set downloads location. All the urls downloaded to default location of chrome. i know we can't do it because of security reason. can we prompt directory chooser dialog in chrome extension popup from here user can select the Download path.Need any information from my side let me know.
Is this possible at all? Any suggestions on how to go about it?

Since you are generating and downloading just one ZIP file, you can use the chrome.downloads.download() method. E.g.:

If you omit the display of a SaveAs dialog, then you can only specify a file name that is inside the user-defined download folder or in a subfolder of it.
Regarding the issue with the popup (see comment below):
You should call the function from your background-page, not the popup. E.g. you could use chrome.runtime.sendMessage/onMessage to pass a message to your background-page:
In background.js:
