I want to disable all the checkboxes selection if "none" is selected - javascript

I am creating a PHP form and can't figure out how to disable all the checkboxes if NONE option is selected.
<h5>HEALTH OF STUDENT</h5>
<p>Are there any physical, emotional, or other difficulties that we should be aware of?</p>
<table>
<td>Hearing
<input type="checkbox" name="Audition" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Vision
<input type="checkbox" name="Vision" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Heart
<input type="checkbox" name="Coeur" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Langage
<input type="checkbox" name="Speech" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Asthme
<input type="checkbox" name="Asthma" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Diabetes
<input type="checkbox" name="Diabete" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Allergies
<input type="checkbox" name="Allergies" value="Yes" />
<input type="checkbox" name="Allergies" value="Yes" />
<input type="checkbox" name="None" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>Other
<input type="checkbox" name="Autre" value="Yes" />
</td>
<td>If other, Specify
<input type="text" name="autre2" id="autre2" />
</td>
</table>

The easiest way I see to do this is by adding a class to every of your checkbox that needs to be disabled by the NONE one and then deselect every one when you click on it with a jQuery .find() and .each() function to grab them all :
<input class="isOneOfThem" type="checkbox" name="Audition" value="Yes" />
<input class="isOneOfThem" type="checkbox" name="Vision" value="Yes" />
<!-- etc.. -->
<input onchange="deselectAllOfThem(this)" type="checkbox" name="NONE" value="Yes" />
-
function deselectAllOfThem(noneOne) {
if(noneOne.checked) { // if the NONE checkbox is checked
// looking for every HTML elements with the isOneOfThem class
// within the table element
$('table').find('.isOneOfThem').each(function() {
// just uncheck the element in the .each() loop
$(this).prop('checked', false);
})
}
}

How to hide content table cells

I have a form with a table and when the user click the radio button No the content of the following cells in that row should be visible. And when clicking Yes, the content should be hidden again. There is no difference now. It works outside the table.
I have tried style="display:table-cell" in a div-tag and in the td-tag - no success.

You need
Valid HTML - you have divs between the cells
Unique IDs.
Consistent use of name, tags, values etc.
No need to prefix everything with javascript:
I strongly recommend you wrap each set in a container, then you do not need inline JS you can just look at the value and use hidden=value==="Yes"
document.getElementById("container").addEventListener("click", function(e) {
const tgt = e.target;
const hide = tgt.value === "Yes";
tgt.closest("div").querySelector("div").hidden = hide; // hide the nested div
})
th {
background-color: #dddddd
}
<div id="container">
<h1>Hide input fields based on radio button selection</h1>
<h2>Frame</h2>
<div>
<h3>Propellers OK?</h3>
<input type="radio" name="yesno" value="Yes">Yes
<input type="radio" name="yesno" value="No">No<br>
<div hidden>
<input type="checkbox" /> Replaced<br /> Date <input type="date" /><br /> Checked by <input type="text" />
</div>
</div>
<div>
<h3>Frame arms OK?</h3>
<input type="radio" name="framearms" value="Yes" />Yes
<input type="radio" name="framearms" value="No" />No
<div id="framearmsDiv" hidden>
<input type="checkbox" /> Replaced<br /> Date <input type="date" /><br /> Checked by <input type="text" />
</div>
</div>
...
</div>
Two issues found in your code
1. <input type="radio" name="aftercheckbodyR" id="aftercheckbodyR" value="Yes" onclick="javascript:yesnoCheck(aftercheckbodyR, aftercheckbodyDiv);" >
Quotes are missing for input field as it should be string - id of control
- <input type="radio" name="aftercheckbodyR" id="aftercheckbodyR" value="Yes" onclick="javascript:yesnoCheck('aftercheckbodyR', 'aftercheckbodyDiv');"
2. In correct HTML - include 'aftercheckbodyDiv' <div> tag inside <td>
<td>
<div id="aftercheckbodyDiv" style="display:table-cell">
<input type="checkbox" id="aftercheckbodyC" value="Yes" />
</div>
</td>

update image with jquery based on multiple radio button inputs

An image is being rendered based on multiple attributes.
The name of the image reflects attribute values (for names a, b, & c).
<div>
<img src="112_small.jpg" data-zoom-image="112_big.jpg" id="rendered_choice">
</div>
<div>
<h6>9</h6>
<input type="radio" id="a_1" name="a" value="1" checked="checked" />
<input type="radio" id="a_2" name="a" value="2" />
<input type="radio" id="a_3" name="a" value="3" />
</div>
<div>
<h6>10</h6>
<input type="radio" id="b_1" name="b" value="1" checked="checked" />
<input type="radio" id="b_2" name="b" value="2" />
<input type="radio" id="b_3" name="b" value="3" />
<input type="radio" id="b_4" name="b" value="4" />
<input type="radio" id="b_5" name="b" value="5" />
</div>
<div>
<h6>11</h6>
<input type="radio" id="c_1" name="c" value="1" />
<input type="radio" id="c_2" name="c" value="2" checked="checked" />
</div>
when a user clicks a radio button (say b_4), the checked input element needs to change and a new image needs to render as
<img src="142_small.jpg" data-zoom-image="142_big.jpg" id="rendered_choice">
How can this be accomplished with jQuery, where the file name takes into account all other checked values in addition to the user inputted value?
Just get the value of each checked checkbox, in order, after making an array with $.makeArray:
$("input[type='radio']").on("change", function() {
const num = $.makeArray($("input:checked")).map(({ value }) => value).join("");
$("#rendered_choice").attr("src", num + "_small.jpg").data("zoom-image", num + "_big.jpg");
});
You can get value of each checked checkbox and change the img src when input checked change.
Demo:
$("input[type=radio]").on("change", function() {
var index = $("input[name=a]:checked").val() + $("input[name=b]:checked").val() + $("input[name=c]:checked").val();
$("#rendered_choice").attr("src", index + "_small.jpg");
$("#rendered_choice").attr("data-zoom-image", index + "_big.jpg");
})
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div>
<img src="112_small.jpg" data-zoom-image="112_big.jpg" id="rendered_choice">
</div>
<div>
<h6>9</h6>
<input type="radio" id="a_1" name="a" value="1" checked="checked" />
<input type="radio" id="a_2" name="a" value="2" />
<input type="radio" id="a_3" name="a" value="3" />
</div>
<div>
<h6>10</h6>
<input type="radio" id="b_1" name="b" value="1" checked="checked" />
<input type="radio" id="b_2" name="b" value="2" />
<input type="radio" id="b_3" name="b" value="3" />
<input type="radio" id="b_4" name="b" value="4" />
<input type="radio" id="b_5" name="b" value="5" />
</div>
<div>
<h6>11</h6>
<input type="radio" id="c_1" name="c" value="1" />
<input type="radio" id="c_2" name="c" value="2" checked="checked" />
</div>

Change value of textbox based on radio box selection

I am trying to change the value of a textbox based on the selection a group of 4 radio buttons. This is not the actual html code, but a simplified version:
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" value="5" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" value="10" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" value="15" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" value="20" />
<input type="text" name="amount" id="amount" />
So what I am trying to do is fill the textbox named "amount" with either 5, 10, 15 or 20 based on which radio button is selected.
I am new to jquery and everything I tried did not work.
Thank you in advance for any help.

You can easily do this by adding class.
Working Fiddle
HTML:
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="5" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="10" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="15" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" id="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="20" />
<input type="text" name="amount" id="amount" />
JS:
$('.radiogroup').change(function(e){
var selectedValue = $(this).val();
$('#amount').val(selectedValue)
});
ID's are unique, and an ID can only be used on one element in the current document, so change it to classes.
Then attach a change event handler to the radios, get the checked one, and set the value of the text input to the checked radios value
$('.radiogroup').on('change', function() {
$('#amount').val( this.value );
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="5" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="10" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="15" />
<input type="radio" name="radiogroup" class="radiogroup" value="20" />
<br /><br />
<input type="text" name="amount" id="amount" />
Something like:
$('input[name="radiogroup"]').click(function()
{
$('#amount').val($(this).val())
})

Check if checkbox with specific id is checked JQuery

Please help me how to identify if a checkbox with specific id is checked/unchecked.
<input name="A" id="test" type="checkbox" value="A" />
<input name="B" id="test" type="checkbox" value="B" />
<input name="C" id="test1" type="checkbox" value="C" />
<input name="C" id="test1" type="checkbox" value="D" />
If i check the checkbox with id="test" and name="a", then the event should fire and otherwise it should not for rest of the checkbox with different id other than "test"
Please help
Since you tag JQuery you can find it helpful
AAA <input type="checkbox" id="test" />
BBB <input type="checkbox" id="test1" />
CCC <input type="checkbox" id="test2" />
and
$( "input" ).on( "click", function() {
// for a specific one, but you can add a foreach cycle if you need more
if($('#test').is(":checked")){
alert('is checked!');
}else {
alert('is NOT checked!');
}
});
Element IDs in a given document must be unique! Hence, change your HTML to something like below and take a look at the script.
$(function() {
$(":checkbox").on("change", function() {
//When the id is test1
//And name is A
//And it's checked
if (this.id === "test1" && this["name"] === "A" && this.checked) {
alert ("Checkbox with name A and ID test1 is checked");
}
});
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<input name="A" id="test1" type="checkbox" value="A" />
<input name="B" id="test2" type="checkbox" value="B" />
<input name="C" id="test3" type="checkbox" value="C" />
<input name="C" id="test4" type="checkbox" value="D" />
Id's must be Unique.... otherwise when you use document.getElementById();
It will select First occurence of specific Id...
Instead implement like this..
<input name="A" type="checkbox" value="A" />
<input name="B" type="checkbox" value="B" />
<input name="C" type="checkbox" value="C" />
<input name="C" type="checkbox" value="D" />
and trigger a event on click oncheck box and use document.getElementsByName('');

Hide/Show table TR based on selected radio button - jquery

This is my html:
<input id="source" type="radio" name="source" value="1" />
<input id="source" type="radio" name="source" value="2" checked="" />
<table id="dataList">
<tr row='12'><td>this is row 12</td></tr>
<tr row='13'>
<td>
<input id="item" type="radio" name="item" value="1" />
<input id="item" type="radio" name="item" value="2" />
</td>
</tr>
<tr row='14'><td>this is row 14</td></tr>
</table>
any my jquery:
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery('input[name=source]').click( function() {
if(jQuery('input[value=1]').is(':checked')) {
jQuery('#dataList tr[row=13]').show();
} else if(jQuery('input[value=2]').is(':checked')) {
jQuery('#dataList tr[row=13]').hide();
}
})
})
Supposedly when the page loaded, the tr row='13' will be hide if the radio button id=source with value=2 is checked. but it not happen as expected. Please help me.
You can try
$('tr[row="13"]').hide();
right after ng jQuery(document).ready(function() { since you said 'when the page loaded'.
You could change your target. I don't know what its called but this thing $('TARGET').Since you have 2 inputs that has a value of 1.
See the following,
<input id="source" type="radio" name="source" value="1" />
and
<input id="item" type="radio" name="item" value="1" />.
It may cause overwriting of commands.
