i am using CI as framework and PhpMailer as email sender.
Building a project for notification, in which i am generating mail List which at least consists of (600 emails). But here i am restricted to send email to multiple recipient at one go by the google.
could anyone please suggest optimal way of doing it or any third party tool in php, javascript or jquery for doing it.
If you store emails in the database, you can try the solutions below. Here I assume the email is stored in a table called members and an querying database using PDO.
The code below can be modified to adapt to your needs
<?php
$db = new PDO (
'mysql:host=localhost;dbname=yourdb_name-goes-here;charset=utf8',
'root', // username
'' // password
);
// get emails from database via PDO
$result = $db->prepare('
SELECT email FROM members');
$result->execute(array());
while ($row = $result->fetch()){
$id= $row['id'];
$email = $row['email'];
$j=0;
for ($i=1; $i<=count($id); $i++) {
// send email here in multiple
$to=$email;
$subject = "Hello you have Message from Nancy";
$message = 'my message goes here';
$from = "yourdomain#eample.com";
$headers = "From:" . $from;
$sent=mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers);
if($sent) {
print "<br><font color=green><b>Your mail was sent Successfully</b></font>";
} else {
print "<br><font color=orange><b>We encountered an error sending your mail</b></font>";
}
$j++;
}
}
?>

So, I want to show a js alert to the user if they exist in a table called paymentindue. The table has a custom message column. I want the alert to show the custom message. I am using PHP to handle sql queries
<?php
include 'dbconn.php';
$name = $_SESSION['name'];
$email = $_SESSION['email'];
$sql = "SELECT * FROM users where email='$email' AND username = '$name'";
$result = mysqli_query($conn, $sql);
if (mysqli_num_rows($result) > 0){
echo '<script>alert("<?php Custom message goes here?>")</script>';
}
?>
But the problem is that I get the alert instead of the custom message
You need to split your echo into two strings and a php variable to make this work.
$your_custom_message = 'Your message here'
echo '<script>alert("' . $your_custom_message . '")</script>'`
It looks like you are trying to send php code to the user, which doesn't work. Instead, just compose the message in your script if needed.
$message = "something you compose here";
echo '<script>alert("'. $message .'")</script>';
Hi guys i had a tie up with another company, when a user redirect from my website to my tie my up company and fills out the form from there how could i able to find the count?
You could check at the Referer HTTP Header :
But note that the Referer is sent by the browser, which means :
It can be disabled (it's not mandatory, and is just an additionnal information that the browser can send)
It can be faked (i.e. anyone can send anything -- even some SQL injection, or XSS injection, for instance)
it's to simple
Create table in db with name "redirect_history" with fileds id, count, timestamp;
create a php file with INSERT Query like this and add a button under form and set action to insert_redirect_history.php
insert_redirect_history.php
<?php
$servername = "localhost";
$username = "username";
$password = "password";
$dbname = "myDB";
// Create connection
$conn = mysqli_connect($servername, $username, $password, $dbname);
// Check connection
if (!$conn) {
die("Connection failed: " . mysqli_connect_error());
}
$count = 0;
$last_count= "SELECT * FROM redirect_history ORDER BY count DESC"
$result = mysqli_query($conn, $last_count);
if (mysqli_num_rows($result) > 0) {
// output data of each row
while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($result)) {
$insert_count = $row["count"]+1;
}
} else {
echo "0 results";
}
$sql = "INSERT INTO redirect_history (id, count)
VALUES (NULL, '$insert_count')";
if (mysqli_query($conn, $sql)) {
echo header('Location: http://www.tieupcompanyurl.com/');;
} else {
echo "Error: " . $sql . "<br>" . mysqli_error($conn);
}
mysqli_close($conn);
?>
Let me know if you find answer helpfull...
Create a unique URL for it. When a user clicks on the url first take the user to the page where you can access the IP address address of the visitor and save it to the database and after that redirect the user to the to your tie up company's site with a uninque id with the url where on the company's site form you can access that unique id attached with the url so whenever any user registers through your link then they can have that unique id store in the database which is generated by your site. So at the end the company and you can share that data and can match how many users have actually registered through your site.
Hope this helps.
I am new to php and I am not sure how to debug this.
I am trying to pass json to a php page and then send that data to mySQL.
I think it is having issues interpreting the data inside the php file or getting the information to the php page. When I open the php file it gives signs that it is properly accessing the database.
Here is my javascript code:
var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.open('POST', 'http://website/saveF.php', true);
request.setRequestHeader('Content-Type', 'application/json; charset=UTF-8');
request.send(bInfo);
This is taking information in and passing it to a php file to then be added to a mySQL database.
Here is my php code:
This is decoding the jSon and then itterating over each entry inside the array. It then asks the question if it has a website listed or not and stores it into the appropriate table.
//as long as the connection is good then we keep it live.
include_once "head.php";
if ($conn->connect_error) {
die("connection failed: " . $conn->connect_error);
}
//gettting the information from the front end (index.html)
$inputJSON = file_get_contents('php://input');
//decode all the previously encoded information
$postThings = json_decode($inputJSON, TRUE);
$input = filter_var($postThings, FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING);
//create a variable the is the total length of our array
$totalNum = count($input);
//arrays start at 0
$i = 0;
//you can see where this is going. We have a while loop that will continue as long as i is less than totalnum. Ask me why i didn't use a for loop.... I don't have an answer.
while($i < $totalNum){
$var0 = $input[$i][0];
$var1 = $input[$i][1];
$var2 = $input[$i][2];
$var3 = $input[$i][3];
$var4 = $input[$i][4];
$var5 = $input[$i][5];
$var6 = $input[$i][6];
if($var1 == "Not Listed") {
$sql = "INSERT INTO missing(cName, website, rating, phone, id, address, placeType) VALUES ('$var0', '$var1', '$var2', '$var3', '$var4', '$var5', '$var6')";
}else{
//here we set the information into the database.
$sql = "INSERT INTO companies(cName, website, rating, phone, id, address, placeType) VALUES ('$var0', '$var1', '$var2', '$var3', '$var4', '$var5', '$var6')";
}
if ($conn->query($sql) === TRUE) {
echo "New record created successfully";
} else {
echo "Error: " . $sql . "<br>" . $conn->error;
}
$i++;
}
First, note that this line:
$input = filter_var($postThings, FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING);
Will return FALSE if sanitization fails on any of the array elements. In your code, you should be testing if($input) immediately after the sanitization.
Furthermore, you will want to sanitize your inputs further to avoid SQL injection and XSS attacks. (e.g. remove SQL escape characters and other injectable characters).
http://php.net/manual/en/mysqli.real-escape-string.php
Last, it is recommended that you use bound parameters or fully sanitized inputs to avoid a SQL injection attack.
Ok, so I've successfully linked a Contact Form for my website to a MySQL database and I'm super stoked about figuring it out, however on my registration page my code isn't working. I ran this connection check:
if (mysqli_connect_errno())
{
echo "Failed to connect to MySQL: " . mysqli_connect_error();
} else {
echo "It's Working!";
}
and it says: "It's working!" So i know i've established a connection to my SQL database.
Let me try to clarify further:
I've got 2 main files for this particular program (obviously we won't be needing to care about styles.css or the linked files for other pages in my site): register.php and db.php. Here is my code for both. It's simply a project website so i don't care if people see/use my code... It's not working anyway so knock yourselves out, LOL!
First, db.php:
define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost');
define('DB_USERNAME', 'root');
define('DB_PASSWORD', '');
define('DB_DATABASE', 'forms1');
$db = mysqli_connect(DB_SERVER,DB_USERNAME,DB_PASSWORD,DB_DATABASE);
Now here's the php in register.php, which I've place at the top BEFORE any HTML at all:
include ("db.php");
$msg = "";
if(isset($_POST["submit"]))
{
$name = $_POST["name"];
$lname = $_POST["lname"];
$a1 = $_POST["a1"];
$a2 = $_POST["a2"];
$city = $_POST["city"];
$state = $_POST["state"];
$zip = $_POST["zip"];
$phone = $_POST["phone"];
$email = $_POST["email"];
$password = $_POST["password"];
$name = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $name);
$lname = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $lname);
$a1 = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $a1);
$a2 = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $a2);
$city = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $city);
$state = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $state);
$zip = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $zip);
$phone = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $phone);
$email = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $email);
$password = mysqli_real_escape_string($db, $password);
$password = md5($password);
$sql="SELECT email FROM users WHERE email='$email'";
$result=mysqli_query($db,$sql);
$row=mysqli_fetch_array($result,MYSQLI_ASSOC);
if(mysqli_num_rows($result) == 1)
{
$msg = "Sorry...This email already exist...";
}
else
{
$query = mysqli_query($db, "INSERT INTO users(name,lname,a1, a2, city, state, zip, phone, email, password) VALUES ('$name', '$lname', '$a1', '$a2', '$city', '$state', '$zip', '$phone', '$email', '$password')");
if($query)
{
$msg = "Thank You! you are now registered.";
}
}
}
mysqli_close($db);
I should probably mention that JavaScript is included in the HEAD section of my HTML:
(function(H){H.className=H.className.replace(/\bno-js\b/,'js')})(document.documentElement)
$(document).ready(function() {
$('form.required-form').simpleValidate({
errorElement: 'em',
ajaxRequest: true,
completeCallback: function($el) {
var formData = $el.serialize();
}
});
});
$("form[name='form1']").submit(function(){
.... JS code ....
return error;
});
</script>
<script type= "text/javascript">
var RecaptchaOptions = {
theme: 'clean'
};
Well, I tried to include the HTML code for the form but it wasn't appearing properly, but believe me when i tell you that ALL the inputs of the the form fields have a name="" that corresponds to the fields within my table within my database within MySQL. The HTML is most certainly not the problem. I've check syntax and spelling over and over. It's not the HTML. Somewhere there is an error, though.
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thank you all very much.

P.S. I purposely deleted the opening and closing php/html tags here in these examples so it'd be easier to read, but i have them placed in my original code.
After that if($query){ } block try adding else { print(mysqli_error($db)); }
perhaps there's an error, but what is the response you got from register.php?
you should start to debug your source code, but if you don't use a debugger, put some "die(SOME VARIABLE);" to locate your trouble area and without javascript, for the first. Just use some simple html-formular and to get row datas, put the answer into <PRE> tags ( or use curl in a terminal, i like this way, but for you it is not necessary ).
If you don't debug your php-code or you your browser-relevant-code, means "html, css, javascript, ..." (you can see with firebug, what data you are sending and what is coming back), you can use echo "INSERT .... BLA ...$VAR ...;" and copy-paste the SQL-Statement and testing it in PhpMyAdmin, to see you get a proper statement, maybe there is a type-converting-problem or many other thinks are possible.
If everything is going well, it is probably some trouble in your javascript-code. But probably you need to convert a type of some variable, you should copy and paste your SQL-Statement and execute it in phpmyadmin to make a verification of your SQL-Statements which you put in your Php-Code. Cheers.
Got contact form like this (JSFiddle).
Registered captcha. How to implement the correct integration on the client and server?
In the form inserted just a div. Submit gonna work like this? How to connect submit and captcha?
It refers to the POST request:
How does it send?
There is PHP:
<?php
// Only process POST reqeusts.
if ($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "POST") {
// Get the form fields and remove whitespace.
$name = strip_tags(trim($_POST["name"]));
$name = str_replace(array("\r","\n"),array(" "," "),$name);
$email = filter_var(trim($_POST["email"]), FILTER_SANITIZE_EMAIL);
$message = trim($_POST["message"]);
// Check that data was sent to the mailer.
if ( empty($name) OR empty($message) OR !filter_var($email, FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL)) {
// Set a 400 (bad request) response code and exit.
http_response_code(400);
echo "Oops! There was a problem with your submission. Please complete the form and try again.";
exit;
}
// Set the recipient email address.
$recipient = "mail#mail.com";
// Set the email subject.
$subject = "New contact from $name";
// Build the email content.
$email_content = "Name: $name\n";
$email_content .= "Email: $email\n\n";
$email_content .= "Message:\n$message\n";
// Build the email headers.
$email_headers = "From: $name <$email>";
// Send the email.
if (mail($recipient, $subject, $email_content, $email_headers)) {
// Set a 200 (okay) response code.
http_response_code(200);
echo "Thank You! Your message has been sent.";
} else {
// Set a 500 (internal server error) response code.
http_response_code(500);
echo "Oops! Something went wrong and we couldn't send your message.";
}
} else {
// Not a POST request, set a 403 (forbidden) response code.
http_response_code(403);
echo "There was a problem with your submission, please try again.";
}
I have integrated the google reCaptcha in our website. Here is our implementation.
Front-end Code:
<script src="https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?onload=recaptchaCallBack&render=explicit" async defer></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var recaptcha_sponsorship_signup_form;
var recaptchaCallBack = function() {
// Render the recaptcha on the element with ID "recaptcha_sponsorship_signup_form"
recaptcha_sponsorship_signup_form = grecaptcha.render('recaptcha_sponsorship_signup_form', {
'sitekey' : 'your_recaptcha_website_key',
'theme' : 'light'
});
};
</script>
<dt>Prove you’re not a robot</dt>
<dd style="height: 78px;">
<div id="recaptcha_sponsorship_signup_form"></div>
</dd>
Server Side Code:
$fileContent = '';
if (isset($_REQUEST['g-recaptcha-response']) && !empty($_REQUEST['g-recaptcha-response'])) {
$fileContent = file_get_contents("https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify?secret=your_recaptcha_secret_key&response=". $_REQUEST['g-recaptcha-response']);
}
$jsonArray = json_decode($fileContent, true);
if (isset($jsonArray['success']) && $jsonArray['success']==true) {
// process your logic here
} else {
echo "Invalid verification code, please try again!";
}
You can use this library ;
https://github.com/google/recaptcha/blob/master/examples/example-captcha.php
First, register keys for your site at https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin
When your app receives a form submission containing the g-recaptcha-response field, you can verify it using:
<?php
$recaptcha = new \ReCaptcha\ReCaptcha($secret);
$resp = $recaptcha->verify($gRecaptchaResponse, $remoteIp);
if ($resp->isSuccess()) {
// verified!
} else {
$errors = $resp->getErrorCodes();
}
You can see an end-to-end working example in examples/example-captcha.php
