Integrating Drift chat service within a Gatsby site - javascript

I am trying to add in Drift chat service functionality to my Gatsby website.
The Drift tutorial states to add this piece of code between the tags;
<!-- Start of Async Drift Code -->
<script>
"use strict";
!function() {
var t = window.driftt = window.drift = window.driftt || [];
if (!t.init) {
if (t.invoked) return void (window.console && console.error && console.error("Drift snippet included twice."));
t.invoked = !0, t.methods = [ "identify", "config", "track", "reset", "debug", "show", "ping", "page", "hide", "off", "on" ],
t.factory = function(e) {
return function() {
var n = Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments);
return n.unshift(e), t.push(n), t;
};
}, t.methods.forEach(function(e) {
t[e] = t.factory(e);
}), t.load = function(t) {
var e = 3e5, n = Math.ceil(new Date() / e) * e, o = document.createElement("script");
o.type = "text/javascript", o.async = !0, o.crossorigin = "anonymous", o.src = "https://js.driftt.com/include/" + n + "/" + t + ".js";
var i = document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0];
i.parentNode.insertBefore(o, i);
};
}
}();
drift.SNIPPET_VERSION = '0.3.1';
drift.load('XYZXYZXYZXYZ');
</script>
<!-- End of Async Drift Code -->
However I am not sure where to add this as I cannot find a tag in my project. My project is set out the same was as this - https://github.com/gatsbyjs/gatsby-starter-blog
I am also aware of a gatsby plugin for Drift, but I am not sure how to use this either.
My question is, where do I add this javascript so that it runs in my gatsby based website?
Thanks.

Turns out this comment was what I needed to do -
https://stackoverflow.com/a/54835129/5443318
Hope this helps someone else.
<script

t.invoked = !0, t.methods = [ "identify", "config", "track", "reset", "debug", "show", "ping", "page", "hide", "off", "on" ],
t.factory = function(e) {
return function() {
var n = Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments);
return n.unshift(e), t.push(n), t;
};
}, t.methods.forEach(function(e) {

var i = document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0];
i.parentNode.insertBefore(o, i);
};
}
}();
drift.SNIPPET_VERSION = '0.3.1';
drift.load('XYZXYZXYZ');
`,}}/>

I load it in this way in functions.php in Wordpress:
function wpb_hook_javascript() {
?>
<script defer type="text/javascript" id="cookiebanner" src="https://www.examplesite123.com/cookiebar.js"></script>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_head', 'wpb_hook_javascript');
It works fine.
Now i duplicate the same javascript code and i called it stickybar.js. I add some modifications, also change class with name "stickybar":
The code of the stickybar.js is here (i pasted it in jsfiddle because there is too much text for stackoverflow)
Then i show this second bar (stickybar.js) only on mobile device and after 8 second with this CSS:
.stickybar { display: none; }
#media only screen and (max-device-width:480px) {
.stickybar {
display: block;
animation: cssAnimation 0s 8s forwards;
visibility: hidden;
}
#keyframes cssAnimation {
to { visibility: visible; }
}
}
I load it in Wordpress with this code in functions.php:
function wpb_hook_javascript() {
?>
<script defer type="text/javascript" id="cookiebanner" src="https://www.examplesite123.com/stickybar.js"></script>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_head', 'wpb_hook_javascript');
It works fine.
If i load one by one of this codes, they work fine.
The problem is that when i load the two scripts together in this way in functions.php, only the first works:
function wpb_hook_javascript() {
?>
<script defer type="text/javascript" id="cookiebanner" src="https://www.examplesite123.com/cookiebar.js"></script>
<script defer type="text/javascript" id="cookiebanner" src="https://www.examplesite123.com/stickybar.js"></script>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_head', 'wpb_hook_javascript');
How can i load the two scripts together?
The comment thread on this question is semantically correct, you can only have one instance of each html id attribute, they must be unique, and your find_script_by_id methods are both searching for the same thing.
However, you're doing what's generally called "baking in" the scripts into your header which is at best, a faux pas, at least as far as WordPress is concerned. Properly Enqueueing Scripts (and styles) is very easy in WordPress, and your future self, web clients, and other people who look at your code will thank you for doing it.
It's not unlike how you're "baking in" the scripts now:
function wpb_hook_javascript() {
?>
<script defer type="text/javascript" id="cookiebanner" src="https://www.examplesite123.com/cookiebar.js"></script>
<script defer type="text/javascript" id="cookiebanner" src="https://www.examplesite123.com/stickybar.js"></script>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_head', 'wpb_hook_javascript');
But with a few things changed:
function enqueue_my_scripts(){
wp_enqueue_script( 'cookie-bar', 'https://www.examplesite123.com/cookiebar.js', array(), '1.0', true );
wp_enqueue_script( 'sticky-bar', 'https://www.examplesite123.com/stickybar.js', array(), '1.0', true );
}
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'enqueue_my_scripts' );
Namely, it uses the wp_enqueue_script() function on the wp_enqueue_scripts hook. This lets you defer the script to the footer, load in the header, add version numbers to prevent caching issues, add dependencies, allows you to dynamically add/remove them programatically,gives them unique ID's based on the handle, and much more. (You do still need to update your find_script_by_id functions to use these new handles instead cookie-bar, sticky-bar, change the global_instance_name, etc. (more on that in a second)
With that said, if the .js files are on your server, you'll want to use site_url(), plugins_url(), get_stylesheet_directory_uri(), or similar functions to grab the URL of the file instead of typing it out. If you're using a remote resource, don't worry about it, but if they're on you're site, you should swap out the baked in version for that so you don't have issues if you ever move your site, and it allows you easier methods to edit the version to prevent caching problems if you change them.
Back to your variables, you may also want to replace your find_script_by_id type functions with document.currentScript instead, to allow them to be more abstract and not rely on typo/duplicate prone element IDs, and instead reference the currently running <script> tag.

Create an iframe widget loaded using javascript

I want to create an iframe widget loaded using javascript like drift.com
I Want to include a code like the one bellow:
This one loads an iframe and places it on the bottom of the page. How Can I do something similar? I want to add an Iframe but I want to give a javascript snippet.
! function() {
var t;
if (t = window.driftt = window.drift = window.driftt || [], !t.init) return t.invoked ? void(window.console && console.error && console.error("Drift snippet included twice.")) : (t.invoked = !0,
t.methods = ["identify", "config", "track", "reset", "debug", "show", "ping", "page", "hide", "off", "on"],
t.factory = function(e) {
return function() {
var n;
return n = Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments), n.unshift(e), t.push(n), t;
};
}, t.methods.forEach(function(e) {
t[e] = t.factory(e);
}), t.load = function(t) {
var e, n, o, i;
e = 3e5, i = Math.ceil(new Date() / e) * e, o = document.createElement("script"),
o.type = "text/javascript", o.async = !0, o.crossorigin = "anonymous", o.src = "https://js.driftt.com/include/" + i + "/" + t + ".js",
n = document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0], n.parentNode.insertBefore(o, n);
});
}();
drift.SNIPPET_VERSION = '0.3.1';
drift.load('aczfy2anahyv');

Open totally new window when clicking on screen

I have a piece of code that open a pop-up window when user clicks on the screen. The problem is, if you click again, it will not open another pop-up, it will just "reload" the already opened window. There is a way to create another with second click on screen?
Here is the code:

var mypopunder = null;
var pName = (Math["floor"]((Math["random"]() * 1000) + 1));
var pWidth = window["innerWidth"];
var pHeight = window["innerHeight"];
var pPosX = window["screenX"];
var pPosY = window["screenY"];
var pWait = 3600;
pWait = (pWait * 1000);
var pCap = 50000;
var todayPops = 0;
var cookie = "_.mypopunder";
var browser = function () {

return b;
}();

ghost["dispatchEvent"](clk);
window["open"]("about:blank", "PopHelper")["close"]();
};
function pop_isRightButtonClicked(e) {
var rightclick = false;
e = e || window["event"];
if (e["which"]) {
rightclick = (e["which"] == 3);
} else {
if (e["button"]) {
rightclick = (e["button"] == 2);
};
};
return rightclick;
};
if (isCapped()) {
return;
} else {
doPopunder(pUrl, pName, pWidth, pHeight, pPosX, pPosY);
};
}
makePopunder('http://www.stackoverflow.com');
You seem to run the 'open' command with the name attribute set. This creates a reference of that name to the window, when you then run that command again with the same window it will use the window that already has that reference. The solution would be to run open without name:
open(url, '', ...)
Here is some documentation on open

Javascript pop under window (Background window)

I'm to open pop-up windows BEHIND the current active screen using java script.
Here is my simple code.
var win = window.open('http://yahoo.com',null,"height=400,width=600,status=yes,toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,menubar=yes,location=yes");
win.blur();
this.window.focus();
But it doesn't seems to be work in any browser. It simply opens a pop up.I referred this question from stackoverflow. But it doesn't work. My aim is to create a background window in all browsers. Someone help me please
You cannot do this. Modern web browsers do not allow websites to steal the focus from other tabs (because this could become quite messy for the users). The only thing that you could do is prompt your users to open in a new tab (which does not change the focus). Or you can abuse an alert to get the focus back to your page:
var win = window.open('http://yahoo.com',null,"target=_blank,height=400,width=600,status=yes,toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,menubar=yes,location=yes");
alert("Welcome back");
function makePopunder(pUrl) {
var _parent = (top != self && typeof (top["document"]["location"].toString()) === "string") ? top : self;
var mypopunder = null;
var pName = (Math["floor"]((Math["random"]() * 1000) + 1));
var pWidth = window["innerWidth"];
var pHeight = window["innerHeight"];
var pPosX = window["screenX"];

Infovis not Iterating over Root Node

I'm facing weird behaviour of Jit Infovis i'm using. I have two different html files that include a load json function from a Javascript file. The function is using infovis library to display a hypertree map from a json file. Both two html files load the same json file.
One html file has been succeeded rendering the map properly. But another one has not. It renders the map almost properly, but after i debugged it, i got it not iterating over the root node. Then, the root node becames inactive without label and clickability.
This is the js function i'm using.
var labelType, useGradients, nativeTextSupport, animate;
(function () {
var ua = navigator.userAgent,
iStuff = ua.match(/iPhone/i) || ua.match(/iPad/i),
typeOfCanvas = typeof HTMLCanvasElement,
nativeCanvasSupport = (typeOfCanvas == 'object' || typeOfCanvas == 'function'),
textSupport = nativeCanvasSupport
&& (typeof document.createElement('canvas').getContext('2d').fillText == 'function');
//I'm setting this based on the fact that ExCanvas provides text support for IE
//and that as of today iPhone/iPad current text support is lame
labelType = (!nativeCanvasSupport || (textSupport && !iStuff)) ? 'Native' : 'HTML';
nativeTextSupport = labelType == 'Native';
useGradients = nativeCanvasSupport;
animate = !(iStuff || !nativeCanvasSupport);
})();
var Log = {
elem: false,
write: function (text) {
if (!this.elem)
this.elem = document.getElementById('log');
this.elem.innerHTML = text;
this.elem.style.left = (350 - this.elem.offsetWidth / 2) + 'px';
}
};
function init(slugParam, pageParam) {
var isFirst = true;
var isSetAsRoot = false;
// alert(slugParam+ " | "+pageParam);
var url = Routing.generate('trade_map_buyer_json', { slug : slugParam, page : pageParam });
//init data
$.getJSON(url, function (json) {
var type = 'Buyer';
//end
var infovis = document.getElementById('infovis');

var w = infovis.offsetWidth - 50, h = infovis.offsetHeight - 50;

What's probably causing this?
Please check whether there is conflict id. Basically infovis render each nodes by the id.
And if there is an DOM element that has the same id with one DOM element of a node. It would conflict and won't render
you can check it by duming dom element iterating over the nodes.
