how to make mouse scroll compatible to all browsers? - javascript

I'm working on a webpage which scrolls good in chrome but in firefox it doesn't work good.
Below is the link of that webpage
https://chayenu.org/app2/
In this web page when you scroll down to "Explore The App
" section and there if you scroll up it works fine in chrome and scrolls up but not in firefox.

It works well in FireFox. May be you are using older version. Try to update browser.

Frontend issue with a js code: the images show good on chrome, edge, but not in firefox

I have a site, created with a template, that works just fine on Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc... but in firefox it crashes. It's a thing with a JS code that animates the images in the home page. You can see what I'm talking about in www.andarescolombia.com
If you go to that site in chrome you'll see the images on the home page working fine, but on firefox they seem to get collapsed to the top of the container:
On Chrome:
On Firefox:
So the images collaps in firefox, but the other JS plugins are working just fine. I already tryed to contact the seller, but they just have a lousy customer support service.
Please help!!
just avoid using $. it should prevent your error from occuring in firefox.
On the other hand why do you want to trigger the scroll event on window.load ? Oo
just wrap the magic you're using inside a function and call it on load and on scroll. saves you a lot of headaches.

JavaScript for iPhone to open in Safari from non-default iOS browser

"googlechrome://www.lego.com" opened in mobile Safari will switch to Google Chrome iOS app to open the URL. This allows for scriptlets like the one below, which allows you to open the current page in Google Chrome iOS app, switching from mobile Safari:
(function()%7Bif(document.location.href.indexOf('http')===0)document.location.href=document.location.href.replace(/%5Ehttp/,'googlechrome');%7D)();
My question is, can the reverse be done? I tried "safari://www.lego.com", and it is simply an invalid URL. Can you make a scriptlet which switches from Google Chrome to mobile Safari to open the current page.
The answer is yes. Courtesy or MacStories (http://www.macstories.net/tutorials/chrome-for-ios-send-a-webpage-back-to-safari-via-bookmarklet/), I found this code:
window.location='googlechrome-x-callback://x-callback-url/open/?url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+'&x-source=Safari&x-success='+encodeURIComponent(location.href);
Execute that code, go to your homescreen, reopen Chrome, and there's a magical back button to go back to Safari. This may not be exactly what you want, but it works... Kink of.
Good luck!

It seems that the functionality to do this has broken. Thank you!

iPhone / iPad disables interaction with links after Javascript scroll on page

I am using a Javascript to have a link in my fixed header scroll the view down to a certain place on the page. Just an animated scroll basically.
When the page loads, all is fine and the link scrolls the page down. From then on, the buttons in the header do not work until the page in manually scrolled, even a tiny amount, by the user. After the content had been moved by the user, all the buttons work again.
Works as expected on Windows 7 using IE9, Chrome, FF, Safari and Opera; fails on Samsung GT-I9000 Android 2.6.32.9; fails on iPad and iPhone with iOS 5.1.1.
Any ideas? Thanks.

This code works fine in Chrome, Firefox but not in IE

I'm trying to make a jquery tooltip that appears when a user mouses over a link. In my case the link is using display:block style so that it covers a large area. It works perfectly in Chrome and Firefox but in Internet Explorer it doesn't work at all. The tooltip doesn't show, the browsers own tooltip shows etc... IE!!!!

Any ideas? Got to love internet explorer...
Ok well i took your advice and went for a pre existing one using jQueryTools from flowplayer. This is the result:

Works great in chrome, firefox and internet explorer. I guess it is best to use one that is mature. The only thing that still annoys me is in firefox if you click on the link then click the browser back button, the tooltip is statically displayed over the link area until you move the mouse back over the link area. This doesn't happen with the other browsers.
Which version of IE you are using? In IE 8 it is fine.
