How can I include a .jar in an ionic 3 project?
This .jar is for printing on a printer Datamax O'neil Apex 2.
Thanks
To use the functionality of a Jar (hopefully a jar that is written for Android, because not all Java code is going to run on Android, especially something that is going to drive a printer, and most Android libraries are kept in .aar not .jar's) you are going to have to write a Cordova Plugin. Of course this is only going to work on Android, as iOS uses pod's (CocoaPods) if it is going to work at all. Ionic, btw, is a wrapper around Cordova which is what you want to look at when the functionality you need is not included in Ionic.

Is possible to convert a chrome extension into an apache cordova app? I want to reuse my chrome extension vue.js code to create a mobile app and avoid to rewrite all the code but I'm not sure if this is possible.
Depends on the code. If you are using a lot of the Chrome APIs that do not have direct support in the Cordova infrastructure, then you may need to rewrite those functionalities. I googled your scenario and the first thing showed up was this. I am not sure if this is relevant but you might want to take a look.
If you can integrate Vue to the Cordova codebase in such a way that you'd done in your Chrome plugin, then I think most of your Vue components can be reused with a very minimum to no modifications. However, from what I understand, codes related to the Chrome extension API will not work for Cordova. You need to redo them in Cordova way. Specially if those involve any system/OS/storage APIs.
I wrote a program that plays a song using sonic pi. I have to transcribe the code to a web language (javascript). Since I'm new at javascript I thought it would be ideal to use QUORUM (http://quorumlanguage.com/) to transcribe it since there is easy access to MIDI libraries, etc. (that I absolutely need). I have a mac and tried to use netbeans, etc (all processes suggested on the quorum site) but they are not working. So, I figured I should be able to use the Quorum plugin that I downloaded on another IDE (a cloud IDE would probably be better). I keep failing and I honestly don't know really know what I'm doing. I'd prefer not to pay for an IDE. I tried orion's cloud ide "che" but it won't let me download the plugin via the internet or give me an option for uploading or running a native file.
Basically, I would like to find someway I can use quorum on my Mac.
Please help.
Doing all this for my graduate degree.
Thanks.

In order to use The Quorum Programming language, it MUST be in the Netbeans IDE. No exceptions.
The process of installing the plugin for Quorum Language Support is as follows:
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF THE JAVA DEVELOPMENT KIT!!! - This is VERY important as Quorum 3.0 uses the Latest Version of Java and Quorum compiles to Java Byte Code.
You MUST Have Netbeans 8.0 or greater (at most Netbeans 8.0.2). - This is also very important as Quorum 3.0 takes advantage of features in Netbeans 8.
Go to the plugins page. This can be done by clicking on "Tools" in the Menu Bar and then going to "Plugins"
Go to the Settings Tab and hit the button that says "Add"
In the Name Field, Type "Quorum"
In the URL Field, Type the following: http://quorumlanguage.com/updates/quorum/updates.xml
Now under "Available Plugins", Check the Box for Quorum
Click the Install Button
Restart Netbeans.
Now, upon completed load of the Netbeans IDE, The Quorum Module should ask you if you would like dictation of everything you do. If you do not want this, tell it that you do not. If you do, then go for it.
When you go to Create a new Project in Netbeans, you should see an option for Quorum. If you do see this, then you have successfully installed the Quorum Plugin to Netbeans.
I am working on a cordova android app. I am trying to implement push notifications. I tried so many ways using ngcordova, using normal plugin and some other methods all tries give me pushNotification undefined error. But the plugins are being installed without any error.
Then I followed this tutorial and did exactly the same, but it gives
device is not defined
error in the console. I used ripple emulator to test this. I installed it in the phone too, But the same error. I am using angularjs inside. and using cordova version 5.2.0. can anyone point me in a direction, I am really trying hard for the past 4 days but no luck. Please help me.
update
I have correct setup of angular and cordova I believe, because I already built an version of my app with the same setup and pc, and released it in play store. This problems arise only if I add some plugins like push, device, etc. In app browser and splash screen plugins are working fine though.
Make sure to include cordova.js, but it need to be load after angular.js.
If you want, here's a working seed:
https://github.com/marioaleogolsat/cordova-angular-angularMaterial-seed
Just remember that some plugins can't be used in a emulation, so use cordova run --device to make sure that anything is working properly.
Hi It seems you have not done set up of Angular JS and Cordova properly.
Before doing push notifications. You must be ready with Angular JS and Cordova setup.
See below link:
Angular JS and Cordova setup
Follow above link and if it's done try to set up again push notifications.
Hope it helps you.
If Cordova is undefined you probably don't have it referenced in your index page. make sure you have this line.
<!-- Cordova reference, this is added to your app when it's built. -->
<script src="cordova.js"></script>
I read a really interesting article about how create cross-plateform app : http://www.skyscanner.net/blogs/developing-mobile-cross-platform-library-part-3-javascript
But I would prefer use Dart instead of Javascript, and I was wondering if it's possible to interact between Dart/Objc and Dart/Java (Android), in the exact same way that is showed in the article (run a Javascript VM to execute the javascript code).
Thanks
You can code it in Dart and use dart2js to output JS code then put that JS code in PhoneGap or Cocoonjs to get it on Android/IOS.
The article seems to show how its done with JavaScript. I am sure its possible to code a Dart mobile cross-platform library but it hasnt been done yet.
iOS does not allow 3rd party VMs to be included with your app. The only VM you have access to is the JavaScript VM that is bundled standard with iOS. Even Google Chrome on iOS is crippled in this way (they cannot include v8 on iOS).
Do I need to install Phonegap libraries or is it enough to copy them to a place where the app scripts stay?
I am developing an app in javascript, html, jquery, css php ect using Dreamweaver on Windows. I want to use cordova-2.0.0 which is the last version of Phonegap for uploading pictures from an album or from capturing them. I have grabbed the full example from http://docs.phonegap.com/en/2.0.0/cordova_camera_camera.md.html#Camera This code requires src="cordova-2.0.0.js" and the problem is I do not know if I should install Phonegap or copy its libraries to a place that the sample script can see them.
I haven't done it without xcode so maybe not the best answer however you could try IBM Worklight which is an eclipse based IDE that has PhoneGap or alternatively would be to look at something like Sencha Touch which has native development capabilities in HTML5 as well.
You copy the PhoneGap libraries to a suitable location and then you import the files into your application project. PhoneGap homepage provide details on how to do this.
Since you don't want to use Xcode, I'm assuming it is because you are using Windows. Have you seen this guide about creating Phonegap iOS apps?
