I've currently got a section of a web site that looks like so:
<form id="product_form" method="POST" action="/cart/add" role="form">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-6 col-md-offset-3">
<div>
<img class="product-image" src="/static/images/products/4388801543.jpg" width="500px" alt="">
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3 product-variants other_options">
<h1 itemprop="name" class="product-single__title h3 uppercase">Samburu Shorts - Mens</h1>
<p class="product-single__price product-single__price-product-template">
<span id="ProductPrice" itemprop="price" content="$55.95">$55.95</span>
</p>
<input type="radio" name="variant_id" class="hidden" id="14903870471" value="14903870471" onclick="enableSubmit()"><label for="14903870471" class="option text-center selector size-value">29x11 Sand-Grey</label>

<div class="product-add">
<button id="add-to-cart" class="addItemToCart btn addToCart-btn product-form__cart-submit" disabled="" type="submit">Add to Cart</button>

<div class="social-sharing">

</div>
</div>
</div>
</form>
I'm scripting out a test through NightwatchJS where I am trying to select one of the radio buttons so I can automate a user experience. The code test block that I have written out is as follows:
'Check that widget loaded on new product page' : function(browser) {
browser
.waitForElementVisible('#monsoon-inline-reco-div-ul', longWait, () => {
})
.elements('css selector', '#monsoon-inline-reco-div-ul li', (results) => {
browser.assert.equal(results.value.length, 4);
})
.click('#product_form > div > div:nth-child(2) > input[type=radio]')
.pause(longWait)
.end();
}
The line in question is the click command. I keep getting errors about how the script cannot find the element given the css selector. I've tested this in the console in the browser itself using document.querySelector('#product_form > div > div:nth-child(2) > input[type=radio]').click() and the radio button is clicked. Could use some thoughts on something I might be doing wrong because I've been working this for a couple hours now and have tried a variety of different things.

I'm trying to get the tiny message box when you go to the mic icon on Google search engine. I want to incorporate that to my bootstrap buttons. Following is the code where i want to add a similar message box on Connect and Disconnect button.
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-12 col-sm-6 col-md-6">
<br>
<img style="width:30%" src="icon1.jpg">
<br>
<br>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-success" >
<a style="color:white;" href= "options.html" >
Connect
</a>
</button>
</div>
<div class = "col-12 col-sm-6 col-md-6 ">
<br>
<img style="width:30%" class="float-right" src="icon1.jpg" >
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<div class ="text-right">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-danger ">
<a style="color:white;" href= "options.html" >
Disconnect
</a>
</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
What you're looking for are tooltips. Check out bootstrap's documentation about them here.
You can follow this code with bootstrap. use data-toggle="tooltip" to your button from where you want hover, title is the tooltip/popup and add below script to the footer. For more follow the link https://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_tooltip.asp
Hover over me
<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
$('[data-toggle="tooltip"]').tooltip();
});
</script>

I have the code below that should display the chat window when I click on the user name in <li>
Code <ul> which contains the User list and received the click
<ul class="chat-contacts">
<li class="online" data-user-id="USERCODE">
<a href="#">
<div class="media">
<div class="media-body">
<div class="contact-name">USERNAME</div>
</div>
</div>
</a>
</li>
</ul>
This is the chat window code. If I put a static content of the <ul> window appears, however when I feed the the <ul> with content dynamic the click does not work. Can someone help me??
<script id="chat-window-template" type="text/x-handlebars-template">
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-heading" data-toggle="chat-collapse" data-target="#chat-bill">
<i class="fa fa-times"></i>
<a href="#">
<span class="pull-left">
<img src="{{ user_image }}" width="40">
</span>
<span class="contact-name">{{user}}</span>
</a>
</div>
<div class="panel-body" id="chat-bill">
</div>
<form id="messageForm">
<input id="nameInput" type="hidden" class="input-medium" value="Macbook" />
<input id="messageInput" type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="Digite uma mensagem" />
</form>
</div>
</script>
Your click event is not working. The event doesn't know the element exists.
This can happen when using jQuery('.chat-contacts li').click(function(){// do something})
I would try setting the click event with this:
jQuery(document).on('click', '.chat-contacts li', function(){
});
Setting the event with on will force jQuery to scan for new elements in the list.
I have:
<div class="col-md-3 col-centered survey-kind-border">
<a class="lv-item" href="#">
<div class="media">
<label for="no" class="pull-left">
<div class="survey_kind_choice">
1.5
</div>
<input checked="checked" class="survey_kind_input" id="no" type="radio" value="no">
</label>
<div class="media-body">
<div class="lv-title">
No
</div>
<small class="lv-small">
I will Not
</small>
</div>
</div>
</a>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3 col-centered ">
<a class="lv-item" href="#">
<div class="media">
<label for="yes" class="pull-left">
<div class="survey_kind_choice">
2.5
</div>
<input class="survey_kind_input" id="yes" type="radio" value="yes">
</label>
<div class="media-body">
<div class="lv-title">
Yes
</div>
<small class="lv-small">
I will
</small>
</div>
</div>
</a>
</div>
When someone goes to this page, one of the radio buttons will usually already be selected. If the button is selected, I want to grab the div that is associated with that form element and has the class "survey_kind_choice" and add a class to it. I am trying to do that with this code:
if($('.survey_kind_input').is(':checked')){
alert('there is a checked element');
$(this).prev('.survey_kind_choice').addClass('current_choice');
}
The alert is working, but I can't get the class to be added. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?
No if statement needed, just execute the selector on the checked input with:
$('.survey_kind_input:checked').prev('.survey_kind_choice').addClass('current_choice');
jsFiddle example
I am using http://fineuploader.com/ and Twitter bootstrap
The html code for the uploading files looks like this
<ul class="qq-upload-list-selector">
<li class="col-lg-3 col-md-4 col-xs-6 thumb">
<div class="qq-progress-bar-container-selector">
<div class="qq-progress-bar-selector qq-progress-bar"></div>
</div>
<span class="qq-upload-spinner-selector qq-upload-spinner"></span>
<img class="qq-thumbnail-selector" qq-max-size="100" qq-server-scale>
<span class="qq-edit-filename-icon-selector qq-edit-filename-icon"></span>
<span class="qq-upload-file-selector qq-upload-file"></span>
<input class="qq-edit-filename-selector qq-edit-filename" tabindex="0" type="text">
<span class="qq-upload-size-selector qq-upload-size"></span>
<a class="qq-upload-cancel-selector btn-small btn-warning" href="#">Cancel</a>
<a class="qq-upload-retry-selector btn-small btn-info" href="#">Retry</a>
<a class="qq-upload-delete-selector btn-small btn-warning" href="#">Delete</a>
<a class="qq-upload-pause-selector btn-small btn-info" href="#">Pause</a>
<a class="qq-upload-continue-selector btn-small btn-info" href="#">Continue</a>
<span class="qq-upload-status-text-selector qq-upload-status-text"></span>
<a class="view-btn btn-small btn-info hide" target="_blank">View</a>
</li>
</ul>
I want to change the <ul></ul><li></li> tags to <div> because I want the result to appear in a bootstrap grid. When I change the code can't I get any upload result for my uploaded files. Looks like new li-tags generates by fineuploader javascript.
How do I use div instead and so that I can display the result in a bootstrap grid?
Tested this
<div class="qq-upload-list-selector col-lg-3 col-md-4 col-xs-6">
<div class="qq-progress-bar-container-selector">
<div class="qq-progress-bar-selector qq-progress-bar"></div>
</div>
Rest of the code ....
</div>
Fine Uploader is expecting a container inside of the qq-upload-list-selector to to hold the file item. Consider adding another <div> as the only child of the qq-upload-list-selector.
So...
<div class="qq-upload-list-selector col-lg-3 col-md-4 col-xs-6">
<div>
<div class="qq-progress-bar-container-selector">
<div class="qq-progress-bar-selector qq-progress-bar"></div>
</div>
Rest of the code ....
</div>
</div>
Why do you need a <div> for this? There's nothing special about a <div>. Just modify the style of the list item/list appropriately. Fine Uploader doesn't insert <li> tags if they aren't in your template.
