I need to implement thousands separator for an input in an Ionic app. I need to achieve this as user types them. I came with following implementation:

It works fine till number of digit remains 4 (in numeric part).It goes bad when I have more than 4 digit. Since it is called on 'keyup' in second pass it adds another ',' after second digit like this:
1,2,345
And this continues: 1,2,3,455
How Can I get this implemented right i.e. adding thousand separator as user types them.

There was problem in my implementation : I was not removing previously added comma. See the comment in following snippet

I obviously tried the [^] function and the ?: function but I can't get it working properly.
Just break this string into a set(I think slice function can do that) then sort it and every time you get a value match if it exists in this set or not.
Lets make it easier, I am guessing you are getting numbers in string format of some sort with some form of separation in this case "|".
Step one create array by splinting string based on separator
Step two use filter function that will return a new array based on conditions you provide as shown in example.
Below example takes into consideration edge cases e.g. we are only comparing numbers alphabets are of lesser comparative value to us. What we have to make sure is any comparative value starts with number rest is is all gibberish. So extract number and run bit of magic on that.
Your sting was too long I have used a hypothetical scenario to give you what you want. Rest should be self explanatory in example.

The short version: I work in a hospital and am attempting to create a safer, more efficient downtime version of the forms we send with blood components for transfusion. Currently we handwrite or type the donor identification number (DIN) and the product code of the unit onto this form, but ideally these are scanned, as they are ISBT 128 barcodes on the unit.
Scanning a DIN gives me ~=W11512003927826 - I would like to have the first two characters (non-alphanumeric) removed, and if possible, the last two. I've been able to accomplish the second task by simply limiting the character input of the field, which is standard and should work fine.
This also applies to the product code, which scans as ~=<E0785V00 and does not need the first three characters.
I've tried a few methods including some Javascript that was supposed to limit the field to only alphanumeric characters, which I assume is probably the simplest way to handle all of this, but either the code was not in the correct syntax for Adobe or I implemented it incorrectly. I am not familiar with JS at all and am just learning form creation.
If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate any help at all. Thanks in advance!
Edit: So far I've tried these three. I'm using these as an action (run a javascript) on mouse exit and also tried on blur.

I recommend you setup "On Blur" event handlers for each field that needs to accept scanned in data. For the DIN field, adjust the value using:

The code above assumes the field is named DINField. Change as appropriate. It is important to use logic like a RegExp for modifying the value because the on-blur event can fire multiple times per field. The code above will only remove the ~= app-id and last two characters once.
Likewise, for the product-id, set on "On Blur" handler to:

The code above assumes the field is named ProductField. This reg-ex only removes the app-id (and not the last two characters).

This function replaces any non numeric character entered in a textbox on whose onkeyup i have called the above function. The problem is it allows this string as well

I want the function to replace the second dot character as well. Any suggestions will be helpful.
I don't advocate simplistically modifying fields while people are trying to type in them, it's just too easy to interfere with what they're doing with simple handlers like this. (Validate afterward, or use a well-written, thoroughly-tested masking library.) When you change the value of a field when the user is typing in it, you mess up where the insertion point is, which is really frustrating to the user. But...
A second replace can correct .. and such:

That replaces two or more . in a row with a single one. But, it would still allow 1.1.1, which you probably don't want. Sadly, JavaScript doesn't have lookbehinds, so we get into more logic:

Can't guarantee there aren't other edge cases and such, and again, every time you assign a replacement to a.value, you're going to mess up the user's insertion point, which is surprisingly frustrating.
So, yeah: Validate afterward, or use a well-written, thoroughly-tested masking library. (I've had good luck with this jQuery plugin, if you're using jQuery.)
Side note: The second '' in your original replace is unnecessary; replace only uses two arguments.
try with match method if your input is "sajan12paul34.22" the match function will return a array contain [12 , 34.22]

I'm trying to get parseFloat to convert a userInput (prompt) into a number.
For example:

When userInput = 5,000, parse_Float(userInput) returns 5.
However, if the user was inputting a value to change something else (ie: make a bank deposit or withdrawl) Then I to work properly, parse.Float(userInput) needs to return 5000, not 5.

Your answer is close, but not quite right.
replace doesn't change the original string; it creates a new one. So you need to create a variable to hold the new string, and call parseFloat on that.
Here's the fixed code:

return parseFloat(numberNoCommas);

I also renamed the function to parseFloatIgnoreCommas, which better describes what it does.
This is the function I use to scrub my user inputted numbers from a form. It handles anything a user may put in with a number like $ or just accidentally hitting a key.
I copied the following out of an object:

From your code, it seems like you're trying to create a text box that has some very specific behavior. It looks like it needs to format its value in such a way that it always begins with certain 'prefix' of B8:27:EB:, and every subsequent pair of characters is is separated by a :. This is actually a very complex behavior and you have to consider a number of different interactions (e.g. what happens when the user attempts to delete or modify the prefix). I usually try to avoid such complex controls if possible, however here is a quick implementation:
