I wrote a for loop in JavaScript which is simple and straight forward. But, it is skipping the 2nd index. I don't understand why?
Below is my code snippet :
if($scope.usersChoice.length == $scope.correctAnswers.length){
for(var p=0;p<$scope.usersChoice.length;p++) {
if($scope.usersChoice[p] == $scope.correctAnswers[p]){
$scope.score++;
}
}
}
Here the length is 10.
How do you know it is skipping the 2nd index? Because it should'nt.
Can you show us your arrays ?
By the way, you can use forEach instead of for loop in this case, since you don't seem to need to break your loop:
if($scope.usersChoice.length == $scope.correctAnswers.length){
$scope.usersChoics.forEach($choice,$index=>{
if($choice === $scope.correctAnswers[$index]) $scope.score++;
});
}

I tried making a tool that calculates battle out comes but this part of the code always displays: "DRAW!"
function battle()
{
var rawpower = document.getElementById('rawpower').value;
var rawpoweropp = document.getElementById('rawpoweropp').value;
if(rawpower > rawpoweropp){
alert("You won!");
} else if(rawpower < rawpoweropp){
alert("You lose!");
} else{
alert("Draw!");
}
}
The element with id="rawpower" is a paragraph tag <p>. These elements do not have values. So document.getElementById('rawpower').value returns undefined, and same for the other line. undefined is not less than undefined, nor is it greater than undefined, so you're going into the third case.

I have a strange problem with JavaScript .
I have text value in a textbox '25000000' when i am
using parsefloat(txt.value), the returned value is 25000 !??
Why is 25000000 changed to 25000 ?
I think there is an alphabet somewhere in your numbers. Check the example below.There is an error in your code.
parseFloat(" 250000000 ") = 250000000
parseFloat("2018#geeksforgeeks") = 2018
parseFloat("geeksforgeeks#2018") = NaN
Thanks for all Responses.
The problem was for ',' in price.
Of course we replace ',' with '' ,but replace method
only change first one like "25,000,000,000"=>"25000,000,000".
I used str.split(',').join('') and problem solve and parsefloat returned correctly.
regards
ali

If you had an array with 5 items, what would be the best way to check if those items are in order? Say 1-5 or 6-11?
EDIT
Knowing a loop will work, I'm wondering if there might be an alternative solution.
Loop through, if the current is less than the previous return false.
function consecutive(arr)
{
for(var i = 1; i < arr.length; i++){
if(arr[i] < arr[i-1]) return false;
}
return true;
}
console.log(consecutive([10,11,45,100]));
console.log(consecutive([10,3,11,35]));

How to add var in get value in JavaScript ?
I have 2 var
var page = $('#demoajax').val();
var name = $("#users").val();
This is mym old code
data:"server=Windows&actionfunction=showData&page="+page,
I want to add var name and value now=date to this line how can I do that ?
First I try this
data:"username="+name+"&server=Windows&actionfunction=showData&page="+page+"&now=date",
But not work.
You appear to have inserted your changes in the middle of the query string. Try this instead.
data:"server=Windows&username="+name+"&actionfunction=showData&page="+page+"&now=date",
Why do you have data:"username="+name+"&server=Windows&actionfunction=showData&page="+page+"&date=now",
switch date and now
Also lose the comma at end if not needed
