Remove delay when resizing browser fullpage js - javascript

I have no clue about jquery or javascript I have modified this the best of my ability and what I am trying to accomplish is when you shrink or open the browser in full screen its like there is a delay on the content and height when shrinking or going full browser size I am trying to figure out how to remove that delay

Be aware removing the delay means fullpabe.js will be making hundreds of operations per second when resizng, as the resize event gets fired hundreds of times.
That's why the delay exists, so it won't consume machine resources like crazy for such a basic thing.
You can reduce the number, but I wouldn't encourage you to completely remove it.
Modify the fullPage.js version 2.9.7 line 2150 a change 350 for 50, for example:
resizeId = setTimeout(function(){
reBuild(true);
}, 350);
Change it to:
resizeId = setTimeout(function(){
reBuild(true);
}, 50);

You may initialize the plugin method doneResizing(); in $(window).resize(function () {})

Different content for different panel

I want to show different contents depending on the selected link, because for now all links take the same class which have only one content. I don't know how to add another div for another link using the same class or should I create a different class of each div/link ?

Click checked pure hamburger menu on window/document click

This question may seem similar to other questions but my hamburger menu uses checkbox to function and shows up at 768px width and below and I've been running into issues trying to close the open hamburger menu when the window/document is clicked.
I successfully got it to work using several ways but it still doesn't work as intended. The hamburger menu closes on document click alright, but the hamburger menu no longer closes on hamburger menu click as it originally should.
I have very little knowledge of Javascript/Jquery but I understand the bits I used to make other parts of the code work, but I just can't figure out how to make this particular one work.
Below is the code required to recreate the problem:
$(document).ready(function() {
// Script to push the section down on menu click
$(".menu-btn").click(function(e) {
e.stopPropagation();
$(".main-content").toggleClass("open");
});
// Script to collapse menu on link click
$(".nav-link").click(function(e) {
e.stopPropagation();
$(".menu-btn").click();
});
//Script to close the menu on window/document click
//With Jquery
$(document).click(function(e) {
if (!$('.menu-btn').is(e.target) // if the target of the click isn't the button...
&&
($(('.menu-btn')).is(":checked"))) {
$('.menu-btn').click();
}
});
});
//With vanilla JS
/* window.onclick = function(event) {
if (document.getElementById('menu-btn').checked) {
document.getElementById('menu-btn').click();
}
} */

Here is also a fiddle of the code.
Your issue is in this line:
$('.menu-btn').click();
It's enough you changed it to this:
e.preventDefault();
$('.menu-btn').click();
With the first line you prevent the default action while with the second you initiated the click event for the correct element.
$(document).ready(function() {
// Script to push the section down on menu click
$(".menu-btn").click(function(e) {
e.stopPropagation();
$(".main-content").toggleClass("open");
});
// Script to collapse menu on link click

e.stopPropagation();
$(".menu-btn").click();
});
//Script to close the menu on window/document click
//With Jquery
$(document).click(function(e) {
if (!$('.menu-btn').is(e.target) // if the target of the click isn't the button...
&&
($(('.menu-btn')).is(":checked"))) {
e.preventDefault();
$('.menu-btn').click();
}

Add CSS attribute on scroll function jQuery

I'm trying to create on scroll function, once the user scroll to certain point the menu add CSS background color attribute that appears.
But I'm having trouble, I believe I've used the correct scroll function usage, the syntax is also correct but the CSS() jQuery function doesn't goes to action as you can see in this codepen
How can I change CSS attribute once the user scrolling to certain point on the screen?
$(document).ready(function() {
$(window).scroll(function() {
var scroll = $(window).scrollTop();
if (scroll >= 100) {
$(".top-nav").css('background', 'blue');
} else {
$(".top-nav").css('background', 'transparent');
}
});
});

The issue is because you've set overflow: scroll on the body element so the window isn't scrolling, the body is. As such the event handler is on the wrong element.
Also note that you should avoid putting CSS styling (as well as HTML) in your JS code. A better approach is using CSS classes. Then you can use toggleClass(). Try this:
jQuery($ => {
$('body').scroll(function () {
var scroll = $(this).scrollTop();
$('.top-nav').toggleClass('blue', scroll >= 100);
});
});
html,
body {
box-sizing: border-box;

width: 100%;
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
overflow: scroll;
overflow-x: hidden;
}

target item(s) before hovered item (netflix-like hovering effect)

I am building a netflix-like slider in which a hovered slider-item pushes the other slider-items aside (depending on their location).
(see example code)
I can't find a solution to the following situation:
when I hover item 3, all other items are pushed aside to the left and right precisely as I want.
when item 2 is hovered, I want item 1 (or any item left of .item-left) to not move(stay in position). all others go as planned.
when item 4 is hovered, I want item 3/2/1 to keep the same distance from 4 as when not hovered. item 5 behaves correctly.
Hovered Items need to stay within the lightblue area (show-peek).
how can I make this work? Any help is welcome.
Thank you!
var slider = document.getElementById('sli');
var prev = document.getElementById('prev');
prev.addEventListener('click', prevC, false);
var next = document.getElementById('next');
next.addEventListener('click', nextC, false);
function prevC() {
alert('-1')
}
function nextC() {
alert('+1');
}

I did say that there was not really a CSS only solution but it seems you can be a bit creative..
You can take advantage of the -webkit-transform: scale CSS attribute.
Take your ul's and li's like so :
<ul class="slider-content">
<li id="1" class="slider-item">1</li>
<li id="2" class="slider-item">2</li>
<li id="3" class="slider-item">3</li>
<li id="4" class="slider-item">4</li>
</ul>
We can add some CSS to itterate over their order and modify their hover
ul{
list-style:none;
}
ul:hover li {
-webkit-transform: translateX(-25%);
transform: translateX(-25%);
}
ul:hover li:hover {
-webkit-transform: scale(1.5);
transform: scale(1.5);
transition-duration: 0.1818181818s;
}
ul:hover li:hover ~ li {
-webkit-transform: translateX(25%);
transform: translateX(25%);
}
.slider-item {
position: relative;
vertical-align: middle;
display: inline-block;
list-style: none;
width: 100px;
height: 69px;
/* background-color: black; */
transition-duration: .3s;
overflow: hidden;
cursor: pointer;
border: 1px solid rgba(205, 20, 20, .3);
}
.slider-content {
display: block;
margin-top: 34px;
list-style: none;
white-space: nowrap;
transform: translateY(-50%) translateX(-100px);
text-align: center;
}
<ul class="slider-content">
<li id="1" class="slider-item">1</li>
<li id="2" class="slider-item">2</li>
<li id="3" class="slider-item">3</li>
<li id="4" class="slider-item">4</li>
</ul>
This works by using the animations in CSS and some clever use of the translate css also.

Masking issue when sliding multiple divs behind a line

I have a CSS animation effect that's difficult to implement due to layering problems. See the snippet below:
var toggle = document.getElementById('toggle');
function toggleF() {
'use strict';
document.querySelector('nav').classList.add('fuzzyState');
}
toggle.addEventListener('click', toggleF);

<button id="toggle">+</button>

<ul>
<li id="uno"><button>uno</button></li>
<li id="dos"><button>dos</button></li>
<hr>
<li id="tres"><button>tres</button></li>
<div id="leftNavMask"></div>
<div id="rightNavMask"></div>
</ul>
</nav>
After the + button is clicked my goal is to make the tres button slide to the left while being masked just like the uno and dos buttons, except in the opposite direction. It seems impossible to pull off because whatever z-index I give any elements there's no way to have the left mask on top of the correct elements while simultaneously having the right mask do its job. Are there any simple ways to do this without jQuery? Thanks.
To clarify: The uno and dos buttons are currently going under a div that is colored to match the background. I need the tres button to slide left under a second div that is somehow on top of the tres button to mask it but also below the uno and dos buttons so they aren't blocked at the beginning.
Long time since this question was asked, therefore, most probably you have found a solution already. But just in case, here you have a possible approach to what you wanted to achieve.
Instead of using absolute positioned divs with the same color of the background to cover the animated li elements, why don't use an overflow hidden property in the ul container? If you do this, the ul will act as a "mask" and when the li elements get animated outside the ul, they will be automatically "hidden". Take a look at your snippet already modified using this approach (I have used two ul elements to animate the li elements separately):
I saw that you placed an hr (and two div) inside the ul element and a ul should only contain li elements. For this solution, I used a pseudo-element to mimic the vertical line.
