I am having issues trying to wireup a directive in Vue.js based on the example online.
<div id="hook-arguments-example" v-demo:foo.a.b="message"></div>
Here is the directive inline with the main Vue App
const v = new Vue({
el: '#app',
data: {
message: 'hello!'
},
directives: {
demo: {
update: function (el, binding, vnode) {
console.log(el);
console.log(binding);
console.log(vnode);
var s = JSON.stringify
el.innerHTML =
'name: ' + s(binding.name) + '<br>' +
'value: ' + s(binding.value) + '<br>' +
'expression: ' + s(binding.expression) + '<br>' +
'argument: ' + s(binding.arg) + '<br>' +
'modifiers: ' + s(binding.modifiers) + '<br>' +
'vnode keys: ' + Object.keys(vnode).join(', ')
}
}
}
})
When I run this, whether it is using bind or update hook, el,binding,vnode are all undefined? What am I doing wrong?
The question code works correctly with Vue 2. OP was using Vue 1 unintentionally.
console.clear()
function onLifecycle(el, binding, vnode) {
var s = JSON.stringify
el.innerHTML =
'name: ' + s(binding.name) + '<br>' +
'value: ' + s(binding.value) + '<br>' +
'expression: ' + s(binding.expression) + '<br>' +
'argument: ' + s(binding.arg) + '<br>' +
'modifiers: ' + s(binding.modifiers) + '<br>' +
'vnode keys: ' + Object.keys(vnode).join(', ')
}
const v = new Vue({
el: '#app',
data: {
message: 'hello!',
visible: false
},
directives: {
demo: {
bind: onLifecycle ,
update: onLifecycle
}
}
})
<script src="https://unpkg.com/vue#2.4.2"></script>
<div id="app">
<div v-if="visible">
<div id="hook-arguments-example" v-demo:foo.a.b="message"></div>
</div>
<button #click="message='world'">Update Message</button>
<button #click="visible=!visible">Toggle Visible</button>
</div>

I am a final year student and am creating a food log web application for my major project. I have created a search function that allows me to search and display external API results, but now I wish to display them in a table, can anyone help please?
I would prefer if it would be a table that can be filtered, eg, the columns ordered ascending/descending?
Thanks
function get foodItem(userInput) {
var storedSearchItem;
$('.resultContainer').html('');
$.ajax({
type: 'GET',
async: false,
url: 'https://api.nutritionix.com/v1_1/search/'+userInput+'?'+
'fields=item_name%2Citem_id%2Cbrand_name%2Cnf_calories%2Cnf_total_fat&appId=325062a4&appKey=bf1a30b2066602dc6f33db888cd53bd3',
success: function(d) {
storedSearchItem = d.hits;
}
});
storedSearchItem.map(function(item) {
var x = item.fields
$('.resultContainer').append(
'<div class="itemBar">'+
'<h2>' + x.item_name + '<h2>' +
'<h3>Calories: ' + x.nf_calories + '<h3>' +
'<h3>Serving Size: ' + x.nf_serving_size_qty + ' ' + x.nf_serving_size_unit +'<h3>' +
'<h3>Total Fat: ' + x.nf_total_fat + '<h3>' +
'</div>'
);
});
}//ends get result function
function searchValue() {
var formVal = document.getElementById('itemSearch').value; //value from search bar
getFoodItem(formVal);
}
$('#searchForm').submit(function(e) {
e.preventDefault();
});`
You need to append your table in the success function
your code will look like something like this
success: function(d) {
storedSearchItem = d.hits;
storedSearchItem.map(function(item) {
var x = item.fields
$('.resultContainer').append(
'<div class="itemBar">'+
'<h2>' + x.item_name + '<h2>' +
'<h3>Calories: ' + x.nf_calories + '<h3>' +
'<h3>Serving Size: ' + x.nf_serving_size_qty + ' ' + x.nf_serving_size_unit +'<h3>' +
'<h3>Total Fat: ' + x.nf_total_fat + '<h3>' +
'</div>'
);
});
}
I have a scenario like this:
for (var k in active) {
notifications.append(
'<a href="javascript:toast();">' +
'<div>' +
'<input class="phone_number" type="hidden" id='+active[k].phone_number+' value='+active[k].phone_number+'>'+
'</input>'+
'<span class="notify bg-blue">' + '<i class="fa fa-clock-o"></i>' + '</span>' +
'<span>' +
'<span>Sim ' + active[k].phone_number + ' Expires in ' + active[k].expiry_count + 'days</span>' +
'<br/>' +
'<span class="time">Just Now</span>' +
'</span>' +
'</div>' +
'</input>'+
'</a>');
}
i created dynamic elements using jade template engine.
here i need to identify each <a> click and i nedd to get the value of hidden field.
function toast() {
var grade;
//var phone_number=document.getElementById('phone_number').value;
$.each($('.phone_number'), function () {
grade = $(this).val();
alert(grade);
});
}
by doing this i got a loop of value. which i didn't want. i need single item value. how to solve this ?
pass this to the toast
'<a href="javascript:toast(this);">' +
and change the toast method to
function toast( thisObj )
{
var grade = $( thisObj ).parent().find( '.phone_number[type="hidden"]' ).attr( "value" );
alert( grade );
}
notifications = $(".notifications")
active = [{ phone_number: "982334",expiry_count: "1"},
{ phone_number: "982334",expiry_count: "1"}]
var k;
for (var k in active) {
notifications.append(
'<a href="javascript:toast();">' +
'<div>' +
'<input class="phone_number" type="hidden" id='+active[k].phone_number+' value='+active[k].phone_number+'>'+
'</input>'+
'<span class="notify bg-blue">' + '<i class="fa fa-clock-o"></i>' + '</span>' +
'<span>' +
'<span>Sim ' + active[k].phone_number + ' Expires in ' + active[k].expiry_count + 'days</span>' +
'<br/>' +
'<span class="time">Just Now</span>' +
'</span>' +
'</div>' +
'</input>'+
'</a>');
}
$(document).on('click', 'a', function(){
alert($(this).find('.phone_number').val())
})
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="notifications"></div>
Its simple.Try this
$(document).on('click', 'a', function(){
alert($(this).find('.phone_number').val())
})
Send the toast function the k you are iterating over
'<a href="javascript:toast(' + k + ');">'
then use k in your function
function toast(k) {
//use k (maybe select by id)
}
I have an ajax script that retrieves more X results from the database. The number of results depend on the offset hidden field value. The script doubles it. After these X new data, it should append after it another block of an image, but I noticed that if I print in the console the selected element, it shows this:
[prevObject: m.fn.init[1], context: document, selector: "#revendas_conteudo .load_more .item_estoque:nth-child(4)"]context: documentlength: 0prevObject: m.fn.init[1]selector: "#revendas_conteudo .load_more .item_estoque:nth-child(4)"proto: Object[0]
[prevObject: m.fn.init[1], context: document, selector: "#revendas_conteudo .load_more .item_estoque:nth-child(6)"]context: documentlength: 0prevObject: m.fn.init[1]selector: "#revendas_conteudo .load_more .item_estoque:nth-child(4)"proto: Object[0]
Which means it's trying to append to something that still doesn't exist. Below is the Ajax script:
function appendAd(offset, no) {
console.log($('#revendas_conteudo .load_more .item_estoque:nth-child(' + offset + ')'));
$('#revendas_conteudo .load_more .item_estoque:nth-child(' + offset + ')').after(
'<div style="float: left; margin-top: 8px; margin-bottom: 8px; width: 100%; text-align: center;" class="anuncio">' +
'<img src="/uploads/publicidades/publicidade_busca_' + no + '.jpg">' +
'</div>'
);
}
$('#revendas_conteudo .btn_carregar_mais').on('click', function (e) {
$.ajax({
url: '/auto/carros/load_more',
data: {
'offset': $('#offset').val(),
'limit': $('#limit').val(),
'no': $('#no').val()
},
success: function (data) {
obj = JSON.parse(data);
i = 0;
max = obj.total === obj.offset;
var newOffset;
no = parseInt($('#no').val()) + 1;
$('#limit').val(obj.limit);
$('#offset').val(obj.offset);
$('#no').val(obj.no);
$.each(obj.res, function (k, v) {
newOffset = parseInt($('#offset').val()) + 1;
$('#revendas_conteudo .load_more').append(
'<div class="item_estoque">' +
'<div class="avatar">' +
'<img src="/uploads/carros/destaque/' + obj.res[i].imagem_destaque + '"/>' +
'</div>' +
'<div class="texto_anuncio">' +
'<h4>' + obj.res[i].modelo.substring(0, 19) + '</h4>' +
'<div class="detalhes">' +
'<span>' + obj.res[i].marca + ' | ' + obj.res[i].combustivel + ' | ' + obj.res[i].cor + '</span>' +
'<span>' + obj.res[i].ano + '</span>' +
'<span>' + obj.res[i].kilometragem + ' km</span>' +
'</div>' +
'<span class="anunciante">' + obj.res[i].nome_anunciante + '</span>' +
'</div>' +
'<div class="texto_anuncio_right">' +
'<span class="preco"> R$ ' + obj.res[i].preco + '</span>' +
'Veja Mais' +
'</div>' +
'</div>'
);
i++;
$('#offset').val(newOffset);
$('#no').val(no);
if (newOffset == obj.total) {
$('#revendas_conteudo .btn_carregar_mais').css({backgroundColor: '#999'}).html('Sem mais resultados').attr('disabled', true);
}
});
},
complete: function() {
appendAd($('#offset').val(), no);
}
});
});
How can I do it? To append a block after another HTML block has been appended?
Tipsy is used to display a lot of text when hovering over my nodes and I'd like to make that text smaller. How do I do that?
$('.node').tipsy({
gravity: 'w',
html: true,
title: function() {
var d = this.__data__, id = d.id, inc_calls = d.inc_calls, out_calls = d.out_calls, inc_texts = d.inc_texts, out_texts = d.out_texts;
return 'Incoming Calls: ' + inc_calls + '<br/>' + 'Outgoing Calls: ' + out_calls + '<br/>' + 'Incoming Texts: ' + inc_texts + '<br/>' + 'Outgoing Texts: ' + out_texts ;
}
});
wrap the text that you are returning for title with a span which has style with font-size that you wish.. for example i have set the font size to 10 px you can reset it to a size which fits for your situation.
<span style="font-size:10px">+ your_title_text +</span>
$('.node').tipsy({
gravity: 'w',
html: true,
title: function() {
var d = this.__data__, id = d.id, inc_calls = d.inc_calls, out_calls = d.out_calls, inc_texts = d.inc_texts, out_texts = d.out_texts;
return '<span style="font-size:10px">Incoming Calls: ' + inc_calls + '<br/>' + 'Outgoing Calls: ' + out_calls + '<br/>' + 'Incoming Texts: ' + inc_texts + '<br/>' + 'Outgoing Texts: ' + out_texts + '</span>' ;
}
});
When I parse an html string with $.parseHTML(), the outer most div disappears.
Given the html string:
var myCode = '<div class="outer">' +
' <div class="inner">' +
' <div>' +
' <p>Hello!</p>' +
' </div>' +
' <div>' +
' <p>Hello!!' +
' </p>' +
' </div>' +
' </div>' +
'</div>';
When I call parse this html, the outer most div (class="outer") isn't present.
var $myHtmlObject = $($.parseHTML(myCode))
console.log($myHtmlObject.html()) // no "outer" div present.
I made a jsfiddle to show the behavior
I can easily get around this by wrapping everything in another div before I parse it, but that seems like a hack for something that should otherwise work.
Because .html() gives the inner html of the first element of the set of element on which it was called. What you are looking for here is the outerHTML
console.log($myHtmlObject[0].outerHTML)
console.log($myHtmlObject.prop('outerHTML'))
Also there is no need to use parseHTML() in this case
var log = (function() {
var $log = $('#log');
return function(msg) {
$('<p/>', {
text: msg
}).appendTo($log)
}
})();
var myCode = '<div class="outer">' +
' <div class="inner">' +
' <div>' +
' <p>Hello!</p>' +
' </div>' +
' <div>' +
' <p>Hello!!' +
' </p>' +
' </div>' +
' </div>' +
'</div>';
var $html = $(myCode);
log('html: ' + $html.html())
log('outer-html: ' + $html.prop('outerHTML'))
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div id="log"></div>
