When I am clicking on alert button event is not working. I have attached jQuery file also. One more doubt for me does jQuery syntax need to change if I upgrade from jQuery version 1 to version 3. Please notify me where I am doing a mistake and guide me how I can avoid this problem.

Yes put your jquery library at the top before your jquery code. It will work and the proper way of writing events is:-
jQuery('#event').on('click', function(){
alert("hello world");
});

Place the following script tag:
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery('#event').click(function(){
alert("hello world");
});
});
</script>
under the jQuery script tag:
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>

First import basic .js file after write code for jquery:
$('#btnID').click(function(){
alert('welcome')
});

How to execute js function when the view is changed on Angular 2

I have 2 views in my Angular2 app one for Login and one for Register
the problem is when I use some styles like Datatable or iCheck it's applied only if I access to the page directly and when I go by routes it's not rendered, because the style need to execute JS function every time the view is changed
this is the js function
$(function () {
$('.iCheck').iCheck({
checkboxClass: 'icheckbox_square-blue',
radioClass: 'iradio_square-blue',
increaseArea: '20%' // optional
});
});
here is some pictures of the issue
when I go to the link directly the checkbox is styled
when I go to login page by the clicking on the link below
and again if I refresh the same page the style work again
And this is the index page where the js function defined

Vaadin Custom Layouts + Bootstrap Theme

Because Vaadin provides Custom Layouts I thought about using a Bootstrap Theme like Unify for layouting and styling the application with HTML + CSS. The CustomLayout should "connect" my HTML templates with Vaadin.
I have a working HTML template (with JS & CSS file includes) that just work local in the browser. Is it possible to use Vaadin this way?
My CustomLayout would look like this:

jQuery problems with Bootstrap

need to learn the basics of bootstrap for a new project coming up but so far its hurting my brain.
For some reason, I cannot get basic jQuery to function on the website.
Heres a jsFiddle of the basic bootstrap:
http://jsfiddle.net/D2RLR/6891/
Here is the pay structure:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<?php
// require the database connection / action class
require('libs/PHP_Classes/class.database.php');
require('libs/PHP_Classes/class.table.php');
?>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

<script src="https://oss.maxcdn.com/respond/1.4.2/respond.min.js"></script>
<![endif]-->
</head>
<body>
<!-- Begin page content -->
<div class="container">
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-heading">
<h3 class="panel-title">Current Players On Table</h3>
</div>
<div class="panel-body" id="playerList">
Player 1 Player 2
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="footer">
<div class="container">
<p class="text-muted">Copyright Craig Lovelock 2014</p>
</div>
</div>
<!-- Bootstrap core JavaScript
================================================== -->
<!-- Placed at the end of the document so the pages load faster -->
<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

<!-- IE10 viewport hack for Surface/desktop Windows 8 bug -->
<script src="js/ie10-viewport-bug-workaround.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#playerlist').html('ss');
});
</script>
</body>
</html>
The playerlist will not change the html, The .html() is just to test. Nothing I try is working...
A you can see in the example it doesnt work, have tested it in a blank fiddle and ofcourse it works fine.
Cannot see why this is failing, its so simple.
Craig.
You are calling playerlist when you should playerList. JavaScript is case sensitive:
http://jsfiddle.net/D2RLR/6892/
jQuery is working well just what you have to do is pass correct id to jQuery. Change
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#playerlist').html('ss');
});
to
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#playerList').html('ss');
});

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined (jQuery ALREADY defined)

I'm trying to use jScrollPane, and I'm getting jQuery is not defined.
We all know the universal answer to this: load jQuery first, however, i'm loading it before, and i'm intializing jScrollPane on $(document).ready() (I'm using jquery, how can it not be there?)
Here's my markup:
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
<title></title>
<meta name="description" content="">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.0.2/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans" type="text/css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.0.3/css/font-awesome.min.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" url="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
<script src="js/vendor/modernizr-2.6.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" url="http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.0.2/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<!-- Jscrollpane so we can style scroll bar cross-browser -->
<!-- styles needed by jScrollPane -->
<link type="text/css" href="css/jquery.jscrollpane.css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" />
<!-- the mousewheel plugin - optional to provide mousewheel support -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.mousewheel.js"></script>
<!-- the jScrollPane script -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.jscrollpane.min.js"></script>
</head>
And here is my script
$(document).ready(function() {
/* Setting up the dropdown */
var dropdown = new DropdownMenu();
dropdown.run();
/* Setting scrollbar */
$('#dropdown-menu .content').jScrollPane();
});
What may be happening? All I can find around the web is telling me to initialize jquery first, but it is initialized.
Why url attribute instead of src in your script tag reference? I don't think it's a valid syntax.
Ref: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/script
Try:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.0.2/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>

Jquery conflicting in head section - Bootstrap and Supersized

I am struggling a bit with conflicting jquery in my head section of my site.
The problem happens when if I put the bootstrap jquery underneath then it stops working and the supersized DOES work.
But then when I swap them around it is visa versa, supersized DOESN'T work and bootstrap DOES.
This is my current head section
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1">
<title></title>
<meta name="description" content="">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
<!-- Place favicon.ico and apple-touch-icon.png in the root directory -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/normalize.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/main.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/1140.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/ie.css">
<!-- Bootstrap (for mobile navigation) -->
<link href="/css/bootstrap.css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen and (min-width: 0px) and (max-width:480px)">
<link href="/css/bootstrap-responsive.css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen and (min-width: 0px) and (max-width:480px)">
<!-- supersized sytlesheets -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/supersized.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/theme/supersized.shutter.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
<script src="js/vendor/modernizr-2.6.1.min.js"></script>
<!-- supersized scripts (can't go in the bottom as it stops working -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.easing.min.js"></script>
<!--bootstrap has to go below min jquery for it to work and above supersized-->
<script src="/js/bootstrap/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/supersized.3.2.7.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="theme/supersized.shutter.min.js"></script>
When I look in the bootstrap/jquery.js file, I cannot get my head round it as it is just all block text.
Anybody got any solutions? I am only using the bootstrap for mobile version also, so is there a way I can just include the jquery at a certain width, for example 480 - (which is when I disable the supersized anyway).
I also have script at the bottom of the document also and maybe this could be affecting this also??
<script>window.jQuery || document.write('<script src="js/vendor/jquery-1.8.0.min.js"><\/script>')</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/css3-mediaqueries.js"></script>
<script src="js/plugins.js"></script>
<script src="js/main.js"></script>
<!-- Bootstrap Scripts -->
<script src="/js/bootstrap/bootstrap-transition.js"></script>
<script src="/js/bootstrap/bootstrap-dropdown.js"></script>
<script src="/js/bootstrap/bootstrap-collapse.js"></script>
<!-- Bootstrap scripts end -->
<!-- Google Analytics: change UA-XXXXX-X to be your site's ID. -->
<script>
var _gaq=[['_setAccount','UA-XXXXX-X'],['_trackPageview']];
(function(d,t){var g=d.createElement(t),s=d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0];
g.src=('https:'==location.protocol?'//ssl':'//www')+'.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
s.parentNode.insertBefore(g,s)}(document,'script'));
</script>
Basically, just due to trial and error, supersized won't work at the bottom for some reason and has to go in my head section.
And when bootstrap works then the supersized will not.
Please let me know a way to get past this and if there is something I have done wrong in my head section that is causing this.
Thanks
