multiple pie-charts with responsive not working in highcharts - javascript

I want to built multiple pie-charts with responsive. Based on the width the pie-charts position is not changing. I am using the below code and i have attached the screenshot. Please refer the screenshot.
<div id="container" style="height:600px"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
chart = new Highcharts.Chart({
chart: {
renderTo: 'container',
type: 'pie',
plotBackgroundColor: null,
plotBorderWidth: null,
plotShadow: false
},
title: {
text: 'Candidate percentage per party',
align: 'center'
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'center',
verticalAlign: 'middle'
},
plotOptions: {
pie: {
size: '200'
}
},

how to draw hour and minute value (hh:mm) pie chart using highcharts,javascript

how to draw hh:mm pie chart using highcharts for bellow table
You could try this approach, we get the total amount of time, then create a highcharts chart from the individual points:
const data = [
{
name: 'Line Clear - Line maintenance',
value: '06:29',
color: '#eef441'
},
{
name: 'Incoming Supply Failure (ICF)',
value: '14:44',
color: '#f44242'
},
{
name: '33 KV Line Breakdown',
value: '02:13',
color: '#41f48b'
},
{
name: 'Line Clear - SS maintenance',
value: '00:10',
color: '#4176f4'
},
{
name: 'Momentary Interruptions',
value: '01:11',
color: '#e541f4'
}
];
var totalTimeSeconds = data.reduce((sum,row) => {
return sum + 1.0*moment.duration(row.value).asSeconds();
}, 0.0);
var dataSeries = data.map((row) => {
return {
name: row.name + " (" + row.value +")",
y: moment.duration(row.value).asSeconds() / totalTimeSeconds,
color: row.color
};
});
Highcharts.chart('container', {
chart: {
plotBackgroundColor: null,
plotBorderWidth: null,
plotShadow: false,
type: 'pie'
},
title: {
text: 'Reason Type'
},
tooltip: {
pointFormat: '{series.name}: <b>{point.percentage:.1f}%</b>'
},
plotOptions: {
pie: {
allowPointSelect: true,
cursor: 'pointer',
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
format: '<b>{point.name}</b>: {point.percentage:.1f} %',
style: {
color: (Highcharts.theme && Highcharts.theme.contrastTextColor) || 'black'
}
}
}
},
series: [{
name: 'Reason',
colorByPoint: true,
data: dataSeries
}]
});
Here's a JSFiddle that demonstrates this: Reason-Chart
*Actually i'am generating pie chart for table using table id.
So i added another column as seconds,generated table like bellow image.
The bellow Script is used to generate pie chart
<div class="row" style="margin-left: 0px;text-align: center;">
<div id="durationGraphcontainer" style="height: 310px; margin: 0 auto;margin-bottom: 10px;width: 100%"></div>
</div>

Highcharts - How to change display data and remove mouseover?

I have a Highcharts pie chart on my page, working fine.
What I would like to do is remove the values displayed on mouseover of the pie and instead display the values statically with dataLabels(?).
I am not that good at JS and have no idea where to start.
See image below for explanation.
$(function() {
$('#total').highcharts({
credits: {
enabled: false
},
data: {
table: document.getElementById('datatable_total'),
switchRowsAndColumns: true,
endRow: 1
},
chart: {
type: 'pie'
},
title: {
text: ''
},
yAxis: {
allowDecimals: false,
title: {
text: 'Units'
}
},
tooltip: {
formatter: function() {
return '<b>' + this.series.name + '</b><br/>' +
this.point.y + ' ' + this.point.name.toLowerCase();
}
},
navigation: {
buttonOptions: {
verticalAlign: 'bottom',
y: -20
}
}
});
});
$(function () {
Highcharts.chart('container', {
chart: {
plotBackgroundColor: null,
plotBorderWidth: null,
plotShadow: false,
type: 'pie'
},
title: {
text: ''
},
tooltip: {
pointFormat: '{series.name}: {point.y}'
},
plotOptions: {
pie: {
allowPointSelect: true,
cursor: 'pointer',
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
format: '<b>{point.name}</b> <br>{point.y}</br>',
style: {
color: (Highcharts.theme && Highcharts.theme.contrastTextColor) || 'black'
}
}
}
},
series: [{
colorByPoint: true,
data: [{
name: 'Europe',
y: 50
}, {
name: 'Africa',
y: 25
}, {
name: 'Australia',
y: 18
}, {
name: 'US',
y: 7
}]
}]
});
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://code.highcharts.com/highcharts.js"></script>
<script src="https://code.highcharts.com/modules/exporting.js"></script>
<div id="container" style="min-width: 310px; height: 400px; max-width: 600px; margin: 0 auto"></div>

Cannot get Highcharts to show in 3D with data from mysql database

What do I need to do to make this chart work with 3D options? I have everything connected properly and it shows the charts in 2D just fine.
When I add the options3d like in the example below it throws an error that the identifier is depreciated.
options3d: {
enabled: true,
alpha: 15,
beta: 15,
depth: 50,
viewDistance: 25
}
Here is what I have tried with no luck, I commented out the 3D portion because that was the only way it worked with my data query:
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
var options = {
chart: {
renderTo: 'container',
type: 'column',
marginRight: 75,
marginBottom: 25
//options3d: {
// enabled: true,
//alpha: 15,
//beta: 15,
// depth: 50,
// viewDistance: 25
// }
},
title: {
text: 'Contributions to Filers by Year',
x: -20 //center
},
subtitle: {
text: '',
x: -20
},
xAxis: {
categories: []
},
yAxis: {
title: {
text: 'Money Contributed to Filers'
},
plotLines: [{
value: 0,
width: 1,
color: '#808080'
}]
},
tooltip: {
formatter: function() {
return '<b>'+ this.series.name +'</b><br/>'+
this.x +': '+ this.y;
}
},
legend: {
layout: 'horizontal',
align: 'left',
verticalAlign: 'top',
x: -10,
y: 100,
borderWidth: 0
},
plotOptions: {
column: {
stacking: 'normal',
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
color: (Highcharts.theme && Highcharts.theme.dataLabelsColor) || 'white'
}
}
},
series: []
}
$.getJSON("/charts/data/filers-test.php", function(json) {
options.xAxis.categories = json[0]['data'];
options.series[0] = json[1];
chart = new Highcharts.Chart(options);
});
});
</script>
Since no one was able to help me with this, I figured it out on my own with trial and error. Here is the script I used to get the final working result from the server. This produces a nice 3D highchart that can show the data properly. I may need to edit it a few more times before it is actually used...
$(document).ready(function() {
var options = {
// basic chart options
chart: {
height: 350,
renderTo: 'container',
type: 'column',
marginRight: 130,
lang: {
thousandsSep: ','
},
marginBottom: 25,
// 3D initialization, comment out for non-3D columns
options3d: {
enabled: true,
alpha: 0,
beta: 2,
depth: 50,
viewDistance: 25
}
},
// main chart title (TOP)
title: {
text: 'Contributions to Filers',
x: -20 //center
},
// main chart sub-title (TOP)
subtitle: {
text: '',
x: -20
},
// xAxis title
xAxis: {
reversed: true,
title: {
text: 'Election Year'
},
categories: [],
reversed: true
},
// yAxis title
yAxis: {
title: {
text: 'Dollar Amount'
},
// chart options for each plotted point
plotLines: [{
value: 1,
width: 1,
color: '#66837B'
}]
},
// tooltip on hover options
tooltip: {
lang: {
thousandsSep: ','
},
formatter: function() {
return '<b>'+ this.series.name +'</b><br/>'+
this.x +': '+ this.y;
}
},
legend: {
layout: 'horizontal',
align: 'left',
verticalAlign: 'top',
x: 0,
y: 0,
borderWidth: 0,
},
plotOptions: {
bar: {
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
color: '#F2C45A'
}
},
series: {
text: 'Total Dollar Amount',
color: '#66837B',
cursor: 'pointer'
},
column: {
stacking: 'normal',
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
color: (Highcharts.theme && Highcharts.theme.dataLabelsColor) || '#F2C45A'
}
}
},
series: []
}
Highcharts.setOptions({
// sets comma for thousands separator
lang: {
thousandsSep: ','
}
});
$.getJSON("/charts/data/filers-test.php", function(json) {
options.xAxis.categories = json[0]['data'];
options.series[0] = json[1];
chart = new Highcharts.Chart(options);
chart.legend.allItems[0].update({name:'Total by Election Year'}); ///// LEGEND LABEL CHANGES HERE!
});
});

Highcharts heat map does not work with a wide range of data values (min: 0, max: 5,000,000)

I try to draw a heat map (50 x 100) using Highcharts. I noticed that the the chart is not displaying properly when my data values are in wide range (from 0 to 5,000,000). However, if I change my data values to smaller range (for example from 0 to 1) the chart seems to be okay.
$('#heatmap').highcharts({
chart: {
type: 'heatmap',
marginTop: 40,
marginBottom: 40,
zoomType: 'xy'
},
credits: {
enabled: false
},
plotOptions: {
series: {
events: {
click: function (event) {
alert('event!');
}
}
}
},
title: {
text: 'Sample title yo'
},
xAxis: {
categories: xCategories,
title: null
},
yAxis: {
categories: yCategories,
title: null
},
colorAxis: {
min: min,
max: maxv,
minColor: '#FFFFFF',
maxColor: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0]
},
legend: {
align: 'right',
layout: 'vertical',
margin: 0,
verticalAlign: 'top',
y: 25,
symbolHeight: 320
},
tooltip: {
formatter: function () {
return '<b>' + this.series.xAxis.categories[this.point.x] + '</b> sold <br><b>' + this.point.value + '</b> items on <br><b>' + this.series.yAxis.categories[this.point.y] + '</b>';
}
},
series: [{
name: 'Lorem ipsum',
borderWidth: 1,
data: data,
dataLabels: {
enabled: false,
color: 'black',
style: {
textShadow: 'none',
HcTextStroke: null
}
}
}]
});
Here's my fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/bpp8ahyc/4/
Is there anything I can do to show large values?
You need to increase value of turboThreshold or set as unlimited (by 0).
plotOptions: {
series: {
turboThreshold:0
}
}

HighCharts: How to put the xAxis category text inside the chart

I'm working with Highcharts and I'm not being able to accomplish something. Here is what I want:
As you can see, the text for each bar is on top of the bar.
Here is the version that I've been working on:
$(function () {
$('#container').highcharts({
chart: {
type: 'bar'
},
title: {
text: 'APPROVED SPEND TO DATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013: $17,360,612'
},
xAxis: {
categories: ['Intellectual Property', 'Antitrust/Competition'],
title: {
text: null
}
},
yAxis: {
min: 0,
title: {
text: 'Approved spend',
align: 'high'
},
labels: {
overflow: 'justify'
}
},
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' dollars'
},
plotOptions: {
bar: {
dataLabels: {
enabled: false
}
}
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'right',
verticalAlign: 'top',
x: -40,
y: 100,
floating: true,
borderWidth: 1,
backgroundColor: '#FFFFFF',
shadow: true
},
credits: {
enabled: false
},
series: [{
name: 'Year 2013',
data: [6000123, 3743653]
}]
});
});
JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/WcKvz/1/
As you can see, I'm only having the text in the left side of the bar and I can't get it right.
Any ideas? Thank you
The only way I've seen this work is with stackedLabels. You can use them even if you aren't using stacked bars since you only have one series.
...
plotOptions: {
bar: {
stacking: 'normal'
}
},
yAxis: {
stackLabels: {
formatter: function() {
return this.axis.chart.xAxis[0].categories[this.x] + ': $' + this.total;
},
enabled: true,
verticalAlign: 'top',
align: 'left',
y: -5
},
...
