How to disable a bootstrap div which uses button class - javascript

How to disable a bootstrap div which uses button class. Button to be disabled using javascript based on some conditions
This is my code for button which is to be disabled using js:
<div class="btn-group btn-group-justified">
<a href="#" class="btn btn-info col-sm-3">
<i class="glyphicon glyphicon-send" ></i>
<br>
Send
</a>
</div>

The div can be hidden in this way---
$('.zz').css('display', 'none');
<html>
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="btn-group btn-group-justified zz" id="btn-disable">
<a href="#" class="btn btn-info col-sm-3">
<i class="glyphicon glyphicon-send" ></i><br>
Send
</a>
</div>
</body>
</html>
If you want to hide the div with onclick event you can do it in this way--
$('.zz').click(function(){
$('.zz').css('display', 'none');
});
<html>
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="btn-group btn-group-justified zz" id="btn-disable">
<a href="#" class="btn btn-info col-sm-3" >
<i class="glyphicon glyphicon-send" ></i><br>
Send
</a>
</div>
</body>
</html>
NOW IN THIS WAY YOU CAN DISABLE IT
<html>
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="btn-group btn-group-justified zz" id="btn-disable">
<a href="#" class="btn btn-info col-sm-3" >
<i class="glyphicon glyphicon-send" ></i><br>
Send
</a>
<script type="text/javascript">
$('.zz').click(function(){
$(".zz *").attr("disabled", "disabled").off('click');
});
</script>
</div>
</body>
</html>
As you are just beginning with js and xml.
This example can be helpful
Now if you want to disable the button based on some value do it like this--
NOTE
this just a rough way to give you some idea.
In this example you have two value hi and bye which are coming from your xml and getting displayed on the HTML page. So based on that value you are disabling the div.
<html>
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="btn-group btn-group-justified zz2" id="btn-disable2">
<a href="#" class="btn btn-info col-sm-3" >
<i class="glyphicon glyphicon-send" ></i><br>
bye
</a>
</div>
<div class="btn-group btn-group-justified zz1" id="btn-disable1">
<a href="#" class="btn btn-info col-sm-3" >
<i class="glyphicon glyphicon-send" ></i><br>
hi
</a>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var node = document.getElementById('btn-disable2');
textContent = node.textContent;
alert($.trim(textContent));
if ($.trim(textContent) == 'bye') {
$(".zz2 *").attr("disabled", "disabled").off('click');
}
var node1 = document.getElementById('btn-disable1');
textContent1 = node1.textContent;
alert($.trim(textContent1));
if ($.trim(textContent1) == 'bye') {
$(".zz1 *").attr("disabled", "disabled").off('click');
}
</script>
</body>
</html>

Try this :
document.getElementsByClassName("btn")[0].style.pointerEvents = "none";
var timestampArray = document.getElementsByClassName("btn");
for(var i = (timestampArray.length - 1); i >= 0; i--)
{
timestampArray[i].style.pointerEvents = "none";
}

How to trigger function on data-toggle with Bootstrap Twitter?

Hello everyone I have list of items in one of the screens. Once user clicks on the item I want to hide that item show the other div container and trigger the function. Here is working example of what I have so far:
function appToggle() {
var codeVal = $(this).data(code);
console.log(codeVal);
}
<html lang="en">
<head>
<title>My Application</title>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<script language="javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script language="javascript" src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<script src="Bootstrap/Bootstrap_Confirmation/bootstrap-confirmation.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<div id="main-container" class="container">
<div id="master_list" class="collapse in">
<fieldset>
<legend>Application</legend>
<div class="list-group">
<a href="#" class="list-group-item" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#master_list,#master_table">
<span data-code="APP_USERS" class="glyphicon glyphicon-list"></span> Application Users
</a>
<a href="#" class="list-group-item" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#master_list,#master_table">
<span data-code="APP_POS" class="glyphicon glyphicon-list"></span> Application Positions
</a>
</div>
</fieldset>
</div>
<div id="master_table" class="collapse">
<div class="row">
<div class="form-group col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#master_table,#master_list">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-plus-sign"></span> Go Back
</button>
</div>
</div>
Test Show/Hide container
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
As you can see in example above if user clicks on any item in the list new container will show and list will go off the screen. I would like once they click to trigger appToggle() function that will get code value for the current element. Is there a way to trigger this function automatically without setting function as inline element? If anyone know the way to achieve this please let me know.
Did you try doing that function as an onclick listener? e.g.
$('a.list-group-item').click(function() {
var codeVal = $(this).children('span').data('code');
console.log(codeVal);
});
<html lang="en">

JQuery & Bootstrap 4 Popover Conflict?

I was wondering if there may be a conflict between JQuery's and Boostrap 4's popover. When try to add a popover and load the page nothing is displayed when I click on the button element. See code example below:
<link href='https://use.fontawesome.com/releases/v5.0.10/css/all.css' rel='stylesheet'>
<link href='/css/fullcalendar.min.css' rel='stylesheet' />
<link href='/css/fullcalendar.print.min.css' rel='stylesheet' media='print' />
<link rel='stylesheet' href='https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.1.0/css/bootstrap.min.css' />
<script src='/js/lib/moment.min.js'></script>
<script src='/js/lib/jquery.min.js'></script>
<script src='/js/fullcalendar.min.js'></script>
<script src='/js/gcal.min.js'></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/popper.js/1.14.3/umd/popper.min.js"></script>
<script src='https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.1.0/js/bootstrap.min.js'></script>
$(document).ready(function(){
$('[data-toggle="popover"]').popover();
});
<div class="fc-right">
<div class="btn-group">
<button class="btn btn-primary" title="My Popover" data-toggle="popover" data-trigger="focus" data-placement="top" data-content="My popover content">?</button>
</div>
</div>
Adding the following noConflict code above the popover script does not appear to work either:
var bootstrapButton = $.fn.button.noConflict() // return $.fn.button to previously assigned value
$.fn.bootstrapBtn = bootstrapButton // give $().bootstrapBtn the Bootstrap functionality
$(document).ready(function(){
$('[data-toggle="popover"]').popover();
});
Any assistant would be appreciated.
With the assistance of Smit I managed to resolve the issue by simplifying and using the following fiddle:

Google Apps Script Sidebar - How to setup onclick?

I am trying to run a function in the HTML file when the Select Template item is clicked. I have tried 2 different way but they don't seem to work. I got it to run with the onclick="google.script.run.selectTemplate" but I want to run the local function first.
<!DOCTYPE html>

<body>
<div class="content">
<div class="card mb-4 box-shadow">
<div class="card-body">
<h5 class="card-title">Welcome!</h5>
<p class="card-text">Please select the template that you'd like to fill with form responses!</p>

</div>
</div>
</div>
<script>
$(function() {
log("Setting up sidebar clicking...");
$('#select-template').click(runSelectTemplate);
});
function runSelectTemplate(){
log("Select Template clicked... run selectTemplate()");
//Do stuff here first, then;
google.script.run.selectTemplate(); //success: change icon to green -> enable getstarted button //error: icon to X then back to file
}
</script>

</body>
</html>
Update: I've tried updating the select-template element to a button, but it doesnt work either... The <script> section doesnt seem to run at all.
<button type="button" id="select-template" class="btn btn-med btn-block btn-outline-primary mt-4 mb-4">1. Select Template

</button>
<button type="button" id="get-started" class="btn btn-lg btn-block btn-primary" disabled>Get Started</button>
Looks like I made a silly mistake... My jQuery script tag was at the bottom of the Body tag so it wasn't loaded right away.

Hope this helps.
Try to include the jQuery lib before your jQuery UI refer.
<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
try this:
$(".dropdown-menu li a").on('click', function(){
alert("hi");
var selText = $(this).text();
$('label').css('color',selText);
});
You need to define the click function when the document is ready. In your edit, you just try to move the code from the click function the $(document).ready() function. In that context $(this) does not refer to the select element. Try this:
$(document).ready(function() {
$(".dropdown-menu li a").click(function(){
var selText = $(this).text();
$('label').css('color',selText);
});
});

I had the same error but I solved it two months ago!
I was because a jquery plugin of mine was not ending in ;
You can Try to end your JS lines with ; I can see you don't follow this best practices advice. So, add it to you own js files (at the end) in order to let the files concatenation understand That a new file is really a new single function (or statement)
Sorry If this is not the solution to your problem! Thank you for reading
Hi there is some problem with your class names you put the class names same as some keywords like Image you cannot put Image as a class name also check if other same problem exist i think you should check by using some IDE it will shows the special names in different color.
also change the class name Map
