How to make UI in PhoneGap, jQuery Mobile good?

I'm new to PhoneGap. I created a sample application using ponegap and jquery mobile which contain some button and few other form elements. While I installed in my mobile(Samsung Ace), i feel the UI of button and few other form elements are not looking good. Cornering in button is not perfect.
I'm using the following
cordova-2.9.0.jar
jquery-2.0.3.min.js
jquery.mobile-1.3.2.min.js
jquery.mobile-1.3.2.min.css
Am i missing anything? Please help me.How to make the UI look and feel good?
Thanks
To make UI in Phonegap, jQuery Mobile is good, but not the best. If You want the best result in performance and UI then you'll have to use Sencha Touch. Please visit this Link it may be helpful to you.
I would suggest to use ThemeRoller to get your UI in jQuerymobile framework
Check the following link
http://jquerymobile.com/themeroller/index.php
Speaking for myself, I've used jQuery Mobile with Phonegap, and I'm fairly happy with it. I don't think the problem you're having with the corners is jquery mobile, but rather related to whatever emulator program you're using; they work fine for me on various resolutions on my laptop, tablet, s3 & iphone, even when I zoom out/in between 25% and 500% on chrome using ripple.
To make a nicer interface, you can use jQuery Mobile's ThemeRoller.
jQuery Mobile framework is not important for phonegap app, you can customize your own styles using normal HTML and CSS (CSS3 also).

Jquery mobile with Android not displaying correctly

I am using jquery mobile 1.1.1 with android 4.0.3 and phonegap. Everything seems to be running smoothly and on iOS and the earlier android versions however, on this version of android stuff is displaying incorrectly. I am dynamically creating an unordered list and then calling $('#myList ul').listview('refresh'); on it. However when it displays it looks like this:
Then I click the screen and it flickers and displays as this(notice how I lose the footer):
Is this a bug with android 4.0.3? Is there a way to get this to display correctly off the bat?
I had it today. I don't know if you're in the same case as me, but I used -webkit-backface-visibility:hidden css attribute to "correct" the white flash with previous version of jQuery Mobile. But in the 1.1.1 with PhoneGap, I had the same thing than you.
So if you use it, just remove it ! If not, I'm sorry for you...

Drag and drop upload plugin

I want to create a jquery drag and drop file upload plugin or use an existing one.
Unfortunately I cannot find any plugin that does exactly what I want to achieve.
Can someone point me a good place to search or how to start to implement my own file upload plugin?
Thanks.
I need the following functionality:
The one should work perfectly for your needs. I have used it and it is pretty simple to configure and use.
http://valums.com/ajax-upload/
Here are the features
multiple file select, progress-bar in FF, Chrome, Safari
drag-and-drop file select in FF, Chrome
uploads are cancellable
no external dependencies
doesn't use Flash
fully working with https
keyboard support in FF, Chrome, Safari
tested in IE7,8; Firefox 3,3.6,4; Safari4,5; Chrome; Opera10.60;
also, you can try PLUpload (http://plupload.com/)
On that page you'll see that Drag&Drop is supported by HTML5, Gears(from Google) or BrowserPlus.
Note: Drag/drop support of files is currently only available in Firefox and WebKit. Safari on Windows has some strange problems and requires workaround.
In IE and/or Opera, that drag&drop could not work properly as you expected.

How do I make a JQuery Slider-like feature on iPhone/Android web app?

In the iPhone or Android, if you have a JQuery Slider, it doesn't quite work (touchscreen will move the screen instead of drag the slider.)
You may need to write this from scratch. Luckily, #ppk has coded up an example of drag and drop for iPhone.
Listen for touch events and move the slider accordingly. These events also work on Android as it also uses WebKit.
You can use this library http://touchpunch.furf.com/
This provides touch events for all the jquery ui elements.
I found sample code online which converts touch events to mouse events. I tested this with jquery-ui's slider and it worked nicely!

You can do this for iphone, android and windows phones via jquery+javascript. Windows phone with IE has one flaw, I have not been able to get it to snap to div sections.
I used this to wire up http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui-for-ipad-and-iphone/ the slider. Works like a charm, just be sure to replace the code that works against specific dom elements. Then add $('#sliderdiv').addTouch (). Works on IPhone, but doesn't work for Android. According to quirksmode touch events don't work on Android.
