I am trying to filter this subgrid ShipmentReportsInformation by the end customer field to show only the end customer records of the account that I'm currently viewing. Right now it's showing all of them (can't use the "show only related records" in the form because it's just text).
I'm using Microsoft Dynamics 2016 on-premesis.
So I made a web resource (onload event) and this is what I have put together so far:
function Filter(){
var str = Xrm.Page.getAttribute('name').getValue(); //this contains the correct text
//alert(str);
var AllRows = Xrm.Page.getControl("ShipmentReportsInformation").getGrid().getRows(); //all rows inserted in AllRows
var FilteredRows = AllRows.forEach(function (AllRows, i) {
if(Xrm.Page.getAttribute('new_endcustomer').getValue() == str){
FilteredRows.push(AllRows.getData().getEntity().getEntityReference());
}
//Now I think I should only have the lines added to the FilteredRows variable that match the if condition
});
Xrm.Page.getControl("ShipmentReportsInformation").setData(FilteredRows); //putting the data from the var in the subgrid
}
I'm pretty new at coding, so please, if I do something ridiculous there, you know.
Sadly, it's not working and the log/error report I get isn't any help at all. The error and the form, to illustrate:
http://prntscr.com/cwowlf
Can anyone help me spot the issues in the code please?
I even think it's loading the code before the subgrid is loaded but I don't know how to properly delay it. I tried .getreadystate != complete but it's never complete according to that.
Just to help out with what I found so far: here is where I got most of my information from:
-https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn932126.aspx#BKMK_GridRowData
Kind regards
Although the question is old, I was trying to find a way to filter a subgrid and stumbled upon this post. According to the SDK, this is what is mentioned for the setData method:
Web resources have a special query string parameter named data to pass
custom data. The getData and setData methods only work for Silverlight
web resources added to a form

This question might be a basic one but I am very new to SSJS so thank you for your understanding.
The data extension names JourneyA, JourneyB, JourneyC...infinity are the result of Journey Builder. Then, I got the data extension name AllJourneys from _Journey.
SELECT JourneyName as "JourneyName",
FROM _Journey j
INNER JOIN(select JourneyID, max(CreatedDate) as MaxDate FROM _Journey
GROUP BY JourneyID) sort on sort.JourneyID = j.JourneyID and j.CreatedDate = sort.MaxDate
After that, I would like to count the number of audiences in each journey and put the results in data extension name Summary using upsert. Additionally, data extension name Summary is a non-sendable data extension.
According to my understanding, the data extension name Summary can be done by SSJS (Script Activity in Automation Studio), right? or please suggest me if it can be done by any other way.
I have done some SSJS but cannot figure out what I sould do next.
<script runat="server">
Platform.Load("core","1");
var AllJourneys = DataExtension.Init('AllJourneys');
var AllJourneysData = testDE.Rows.Retrieve();
var Summary = DataExtension.Init('Summary');
for (var i = 0; i < testDEData.length; i++) {
var JourneyName = AllJourneysData[i].JourneyName;
var count = xxx
var result = Summary.Rows.Upsert({"JourneyName":JourneyName}, ['Count(CusID)'], [count]);
}
</script>
If you know the number of Journey DE's, you could also use SQL Query Activities in Automation studio to do this. Create your data extension for the Summary table, and then run a SQL query or series of queries to look up each of the journey DE's and update the table with the updated value.
I would recommend adding one additional field to your summary table for a REFRESHDATE, so that you can see in the data the last time it was updated.
I suggest you to use the WSproxy to manage data extension data.
The main problem that you have to bypass is that SSJS cannot retrieve more than 2,500 rows per "call".
This tutorial explains how to retrieve more than 2,500 rows.
https://ampscript.xyz/how-tos/how-to-retrieve-more-than-2500-records-from-a-data-extension-with-server-side-javascript/
Then I suggest you to use basic javascript function to check the length or simply manage your returned json to get the desired id count.
You can finally upsert that data with t
Im using AngularFire+Firebase and have data at firebase-database.
Im trying to paginate Data with Smart Table
My problem is that I dont know how to range query without specifying any child i,e fetch records from record # 25 to 35
Below query gives me first 5 records
var queryFIrst = visitRef.startAt().limitToFirst(5);
$scope.Visits = $firebaseArray(queryFIrst);
now Im trying to get records next 5,from 6 to 10 and I tried below
var queryFIrst = visitRef.startAt().limitToFirst(5).endAt().limitToFirst(5);
$scope.Visits = $firebaseArray(queryFIrst);
but it giving error that startAt and endAt can't be used like this with limit
In general pagination is not a good fit for Firebase's realtime data model/API. You're trying to model a SQL SKIP operator, which won't work with the Firebase Database.
But if you want to model pagination in Firebase, you should think of having an "anchor point".
When you've loaded the first page, the last item on that page becomes the anchor point. When you then want to load the next page, you create a query that starts at the anchor point and load n+1 item.
In pseudo-code (it's real JavaScript, I just didn't run it):
var page1 = visitRef.orderByKey().limitToFirst(5);
var anchorKey;
page1.on('child_added', function(snapshot) {
anchorKey = snapshot.key; // this will always be the last child_added we received
});
Now when you want to load the next page of items, you create a new query that starts at the anchor key:
var page2 = visitRef.orderByKey().startAt(anchorKey).limitToFirst(6);
A few things to note here:
You seem to be using an approach from the Firebase 1.x SDK, such as an empty startAt(). While that code may still work, my snippets use the syntax/idiom for the 3.x SDK.
For the second page you'll need to load one extra item, since the anchor item is loaded for both pages.
If you want to be able to paginate back, you'll also need the anchor key at the start of the page.
Is that what you needed that time?
visitRef.orderByKey().startAt("25").endAt("35")
I asked a similar question Get specific range of Firebase Database children
I searched around, and couldn't find an answer to my question. I'm very new at coding, and at work, we have an application that current names that are logged in, and what they are doing.
Recently, they have changed from jquery 1.4.1 to jquery 1.8.3. Ever since then, I cannot get the results to process correctly, because of the following error;
"Unable to get value of the property 'split': Object is null or undefined"
I have the code setup to grab the results and split them;
function processAgents(xData, status) {
var avail = xData.responseText.split("|")[0];
var acw = xData.responseText.split("|")[1];
var total = xData.responseText.split("|")[2];
var breaks = xData.responseText.split("|")[3];
var pending = xData.responseText.split("|")[4];
The application is setup to open as an HTA file which opens up the PHP script.
Any help would be appreciated, please let me know if I left anything out!
Thanks!
EDIT 1
I did some more investigating, and it looks like I'm not getting data from my process request. This is how it is currently setup
function updateAgents() {
var ts1 = new Date().getTime();
$.ajax({
url: "http://SERVER/AgentSrc.php?x=" + ts1,
complete: processAgents
I'm not sure if this is processing correctly since they went to jquery 1.8.3.
EDIT 2
So after looking into it more, it doesn't appear that the script is getting the data from the server, even though I have access. If I make a local file and put the information in it, it will pull the information and split it, but if I point to the path of the file on the server, it won't get the information. But the strange thing is, if I run it using jquery 1.4.1, it pulls the data fine, but can't display it. But with 1.8.3, it doesn't allow me to pull it from the server.
thanks again!
This will give some clarity
xData.responseText.toString().split("|")[0];
(split is part of string not jQuery)
Here is a possible explanation: in earlier versions of jQuery, ajax calls returned an xmlHttpRequest (XHR) object. Recent versions return a promise (jqXHR) instead.
See this page for more details.
Hello people
I'm trying to figured this out, but I still can't do it.
I have a rails 3 app, I'm working with invoices and payments. In the form for payments I have a collection_select where I display all the invoices number (extracted from a postgres database), and what I'm trying to do is when i select an invoice autopopulate others text_fields (provider, address, etc.) without reloading the page, in the same form.
I know I should use ajax, js, jquery, but I'm a beginner in these languages, so i don't know how or where to start
hope you can help me... thanks
What you are going to want to do is route an ajax call to a controller, which will respond with json containing the information. you will then use jquery to populate the different fields.
In your routes:
get "invoice/:id/get_json", :controller=>"invoice", :action=>"get_json"
In your invoice_controller:
def get_json
invoice = Invoice.find(params[:invoice_id])
render :text => invoice.to_json
end
In your invoice model (if the default to_json method is not sufficent):
def to_json
json = "{"
json += "id:'#{self.id}'"
json += ",date_created:'#{self.date}'"
... //add other data you want to have here later
json += "}"
end
In your javascript file,
$("#invoice_selecter").change(function(){ //calls this function when the selected value changes
$.get("/invoice/"+$(this).val()+"/get_json",function(data, status, xhr){ //does ajax call to the invoice route we set up above
data = eval(data); //turn the response text into a javascript object
$("#field_1").val(data.date_created); //sets the value of the fields to the data returned
...
});
});
You are probably going to run into a few issues, i would highly recommend downloading and installing fire bug if you are not on google chrome.. and if you are, make sure you are using the development tools. I believe you can open them up by right clicking and hitting inspect element. Through this, you should be able to monitor the ajax request, and whether or not it succeeded and things.
I found several sources discussing this problem, (this one seems the simplest but it is for PHP). I will be using an existing search form and I created AutocompleteResponse handler to handle the request. I don't understand from the documentation if it is required that the data sent will be in json format or an array of string is ok. I am not sure about what information to send either. I created a new model with search history
class Search(db.Model):
owner = db.UserProperty()
date= db.DateTimeProperty(auto_now_add=True)
query = db.StringListProperty()
and I want to send the relevant query suggestions to autocomplete. Any help to examples whether in documentation or otherwise is welcome. Thanks.
Update
I put this just before the closing </body>
<script>
$('#search_form').autocomplete({
source: "http://ting-1.appspot.com/autocomp",
minLength: 2});
</script>
in my Autocomp handler I put
data = json.dumps("abc, def")
I naively think that data will be passed to jquery autocomplete plug in. But nothing is happenning. What am I doing wrong?
Just tried this and it worked:
data = ['cat','dog','bird', 'wolf']
data = json.dumps(data)
self.response.out.write(data)
