Entire window becomes blur after a modal is shown jQuery why? - javascript

I want to show a modal using jQuery, but all window becomes blured like this:
This is the js:
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#addLocation').click(function () {
$('#locationModal').modal('show');
})
$('#addDepartment').click(function () {
$('#departmentModal').modal('show');
})
$('#addRole').click(function () {
$('#roleModal').modal('show');
})
});
And html page:

.close:hover,
.close:focus {

text-decoration: none;
cursor: pointer;
}
How to fix this ? What can be the cause of the problem ? Is a better way to make bootstrap-modal ?

Just add data-backdrop="false" to your modal. so... the code will look like this:
<div id="locationModal" class="modal fade" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" data-backdrop="false">
that's it! your modal will show on top. Hopefully will help.

These are the default Bootstrap z-index settings:
#zindex-navbar: 1000;
#zindex-dropdown: 1000;
#zindex-popover: 1060;
#zindex-tooltip: 1070;
#zindex-navbar-fixed: 1030;
#zindex-modal-background: 1040;
#zindex-modal: 1050;
.modal should have the z-index value of 1050, if these default settings haven't been changed. Theoretically, if you delete that line with z-index: 1; it should use the default value defined by Bootstrap before your user css

Determine if element has scrolled into view

I am trying to determine if an element is visible in the viewport when the user scrolls. This code works outside of a Modal, but not inside the Modal. I imagine it has something to do with the
z-index, but no matter what I try it does not work. Any ideas?

Check a feature called Intersection observer. It lets you listen for an element when it comes into view and then fire a callback.

My bootstrap modal doesnt show, im getting just faded screen. Its is working on mobile and tablet, but doesnt work on desktop? Anyone have idea why is this happening?

}
js:
$('#myModal').on('shown.bs.modal', function (e) {
$('#myInput').trigger('focus')
})
Any advice would be helpful, thanks! :)
There are so many conflicts with css and js and classes in html.
Here is the suggestion: if you want any custom change in the modal add a class in the main div and then make the changes with that class only.

You forgot the -bs- inside the classes:

Fit image in a modal's div

I have a little problem, I'm trying to fit my image in my modal's div.
This is what I have now and I want it to be like i draw in red
What i have, in red is what I really want
The original image is this, so you have an ideia real size
Real image
My code right now is something like this .
modal
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" onclick="hideModal()">×</button>
</div>
<!-- Modal Body -->
<div class="modal-body">
<img class="modal-img" src="/images" >
</div>
**img **
<img style='height: 100%; width: 100%; object-fit: contain' onclick="showModal(this)" src="{$product.image}" alt="" class="img-responsive">
Give position relative to the parent div of the image and it will fit the modal. Some working example in this link
<div class="image-container">
<img class="modal-img" src="https://i.stack.imgur.com/bgvRi.png" >
</div>
.image-container {
position: relative;
}
.image-container img {
width: 100%;
height: auto; // or 100%
}
Edit as per comments:
(I guess that you don't want to use the image as a background). You can style some bootstrap3 components:
.modal-dialog {
margin: 0;
height: 100vh;
width: 100%;
overflow: auto; /*in case content overlap*/
}
.modal-body img {
height: calc(100vh - 160px); /* in order that both header and footer of .modal would be on the screen */
width: auto;
margin: auto;
display: block;
}

OLD Answer:
This happen since you are using object-fit AND declaring width and height to be 100%.
Maybe something like this:
img{
width:100%;
height:400px;
object-fit: contain;
}

How vertically center a popup modal inside a long popup modal

I've got a long full screen popup modal(parent-modal). Inside this modal(parent-modal) there is another popup modal(child-modal).
If I scroll the "parent-modal" and then open "child-modal", the "child-modal" modal is not vertically centered.
hope this might be useful to you!
