I'm using a for loop to iterate on an array of dates. This array is passed into the JSON request. Problem is that each time it loops it's only pulling the first item in the array.. like it's ignoring i or its cached for some reason. I've tried two different approaches and both give me the same results. Any suggestions?
First approach
for (i = 0; i <= 7; i++) {
(function(i) {
$.getJSON(url + apiKey + "/" + position.coords.latitude + "," + position.coords.longitude + "," + aryDates[i] + "?callback=?", function(data) {
var listItem = document.createElement("li");
listItem.className = "js-day-temp";
$('.js-forecast').append(listItem);
$('.js-day-temp').html(Math.floor(data.daily.data[0].temperatureMin) + '°');
});
})(i);
}
Second approach
for (i = 0; i <= 7; i++) {
$.ajax({
url: url + apiKey + "/" + position.coords.latitude + "," + position.coords.longitude + "," + aryDates[i] + "?callback=?",
async: false,
dataType: 'json',
success: function(data) {
var listItem = document.createElement("li");
listItem.className = "js-day-temp";
$('.js-forecast').append(listItem);
$('.js-day-temp').html(Math.floor(data.daily.data[0].temperatureMin) + '°');
}
});
}
And this is how I pull dates
function GetDates(startDate, daysToAdd) {
var aryDates = [];
var currentDay = [];
for(var i = 0; i <= daysToAdd; i++) {
var currentDate = new Date();
currentDate.setUTCDate(startDate.getUTCDate() + i);
currentDay.push(DayAsString(currentDate.getUTCDay()));
// aryDates.push(DayAsString(currentDate.getDay()) + ", " +
currentDate.getDate() + " " + MonthAsString(currentDate.getMonth()) + " " + currentDate.getFullYear());
aryDates.push(currentDate.getUTCFullYear() + "-" + MonthAsString(currentDate.getUTCMonth()) + "-" + ("0" + (currentDate.getUTCDate()+1)).slice(-2) + "T12:00:00-0400");
}
return aryDates;
return currentDay;
}
function MonthAsString(monthIndex) {
var d=new Date();
var month=new Array();
month[0]="01";
month[1]="02";
month[2]="03";
month[3]="04";
month[4]="05";
month[5]="06";
month[6]="07";
month[7]="08";
month[8]="09";
month[9]="10";
month[10]="11";
month[11]="12";
return month[monthIndex];
}
function DayAsString(dayIndex) {
var weekdays = new Array(7);
weekdays[0] = "Sunday";
weekdays[1] = "Monday";
weekdays[2] = "Tuesday";
weekdays[3] = "Wednesday";
weekdays[4] = "Thursday";
weekdays[5] = "Friday";
weekdays[6] = "Saturday";
return weekdays[dayIndex];
}
var startDate = new Date();
var aryDates = GetDates(startDate, 7);
Figured it out! Here's what I changed:
$('.js-forecast').append('<li class="js-day-temp ' + 'day-selector' + i + '">' + aryDates[i] + '</li>');
$('.js-day-temp.day-selector' + i).html(Math.floor(data.currently.temperature) + '°');

I'm using the following script to export Google Ads data from my account, but I am stuck with Google's pre-set date ranges and can't figure out how/if it's possible to jimmy these. Ideal date range would be year to date, with the report refreshing each day and adding on a fresh day's data, but would also be interested if we can get all time to work.
I'm a coding novice, so apologies in advance.
Script:
function main() {
var currentSetting = new Object();
currentSetting.ss = SPREADSHEET_URL;
// Read Settings Sheet
var settingsSheet = SpreadsheetApp.openByUrl(currentSetting.ss).getSheetByName(SETTINGS_SHEET_NAME);
var rows = settingsSheet.getDataRange();

I've tried overwriting the data validation in the host spreadsheet, but think I need to amend the script itself also.
I am working on a small piece of code that looks to see if a value is equal to 'December 25 - January 9' and if it does increment the year (that I append to it) by one
However I can not figure out how to find that value. Every time I run the script it skips to the else part of the script when that value is selected.
Any guidance is appreciated
if ($('#date').val === 'December 25 - January 9') {
var startDates = $('#date').val().split(" - ");
var year = $('year').val;
var yearDec = parseInt(year, 10) + 1;
var payPdStart = startDates[0] + ' ' + year;
var payPdEnd = startDates[1] + ' ' + yearDec;
var startDate = Date.parse(payPdStart);
myStartDates = new Date(startDate);
var endDate = Date.parse(payPdEnd);
myEndDates = new Date(endDate)
while (myStartDates <= myEndDates) {
var firstCol = "<td style='border:none;'>" + myStartDates + "</td>";
$('#timeTable').append("<tr>" + firstCol + "</td>");
var newDate = myStartDates.setDate(myStartDates.getDate() + 1);
start = new Date(newDate);
}
}
else{
var startDates = $('#date').val().split(" - ");
var year = $('#year').val() ;
var payPdStart = startDates[0] + ' ' + year;
var payPdEnd = startDates[1] + ' ' + year;
var startDate = Date.parse(payPdStart);
myStartDates = new Date(startDate);
var endDate = Date.parse(payPdEnd);
myEndDates = new Date(endDate)
console.log(myStartDates);
console.log(myEndDates);
while (myStartDates <= myEndDates) {
var firstCol = "<td style='border:none;'>" + myStartDates + "</td>";
$('#timeTable').append("<tr>" + firstCol + "</td>");
var newDate = myStartDates.setDate(myStartDates.getDate() + 1);
start = new Date(newDate);
}
Problem is you are using JQuery but chexking value as in javascript
$('#date')[0].value === 'December 25 - January 9'
or
$('#date').val() === 'December 25 - January 9'
should do it.
I see two places where you used val instead of val(), you want to call the function val not access a non-existent val field
if ($('#date').val() === 'December 25 - January 9') { // <-- val()
var startDates = $('#date').val().split(" - ");
var year = $('year').val(); // <-- val()
Try this. It should work.
You have var should be var() also year should be #year
if ($('#date').val() === 'December 25 - January 9') {
var startDates = $('#date').val().split(" - ");
var year = $('#year').val();
var yearDec = parseInt(year, 10) + 1;
var payPdStart = startDates[0] + ' ' + year;
var payPdEnd = startDates[1] + ' ' + yearDec;
var startDate = Date.parse(payPdStart);
console.log(startDates);
console.log(year);
console.log(yearDec);
console.log(payPdStart);
console.log(payPdEnd);
myStartDates = new Date(startDate);
var endDate = Date.parse(payPdEnd);
myEndDates = new Date(endDate)
while (myStartDates <= myEndDates) {
var firstCol = "<td style='border:none;'>" + myStartDates + "</td>";
$('#timeTable').append("<tr>" + firstCol + "</td>");
var newDate = myStartDates.setDate(myStartDates.getDate() + 1);
start = new Date(newDate);
}
}
else{
var startDates = $('#date').val().split(" - ");
var year = $('#year').val() ;
var payPdStart = startDates[0] + ' ' + year;
var payPdEnd = startDates[1] + ' ' + year;
var startDate = Date.parse(payPdStart);
myStartDates = new Date(startDate);
var endDate = Date.parse(payPdEnd);
myEndDates = new Date(endDate)
console.log(myStartDates);
console.log(myEndDates);
while (myStartDates <= myEndDates) {
var firstCol = "<td style='border:none;'>" + myStartDates + " </td>";
$('#timeTable').append("<tr>" + firstCol + "</td>");
var newDate = myStartDates.setDate(myStartDates.getDate() + 1);
start = new Date(newDate);
}
I'm fairly new to javascript and I need to rename or add to an extension of a css and .png file. The script is embedded within an ETL process. I have a variable "prd" that holds the value of the file name that the style.css and picture.png file are derived from and I also need to add a date or time stamp to the end of the extension. Basically I'm wanting to concatenate prd+style_02_06_14.png
Desired results:
Prd = sales_report
File = style.css.
Result = "sales_report_style_02_06_14.png" and "sales_report_style_02_06_14.css"
Here is my code
var sourceCssFile = outputfolder + "style.css";
var destinationCssFile = outputfolder + css_pic;
if(isFolder(destinationCssFile) == false) {
createFolder(destinationCssFile);
var testvar = "inside";
}
destinationCssFile = destinationCssFile + "/style.css";
moveFile(sourceCssFile, destinationCssFile, true);
var sourceImageFile = outputfolder + "picture.png";
var destinationImageFile = outputfolder + css_pic + "/picture.png";
moveFile(sourceImageFile, destinationImageFile, true);
var cont = loadFileContent(output);
var replaceCss = css_pic + "tt+style.css";
var replaceImg = css_pic + "tt + picture.png";
cont = cont.replace("style.css", replaceCss);
cont = cont.replace("picture.png", replaceImg);
var filename = outputfolder + new_str;
Try this:
function formatResult(prd, filename, date, extension) {
return prd + '_' + filename + '_' + formatDate(d) + '.' + extension;
}
function formatDate(d) {
var year = d.getFullYear().toString().substr(2,2);
var month = (d.getMonth()+1) + '';
if (month.length == 1) {
month = "0" + month;
}
var day = d.getDate() + '';
if (day.length == 1) {
day = "0" + day;
}
return month + '_' + day + '_' + year;
}

Nota
alert( 'style.css'.replace(/\.css$/i, '') ); // shows 'style'

I'm running a web page in Safar, however; I notice that when I press the save button the event doesn't fire. It works fine in IE though. I've researched the issue, and found that it's not due to a missing value attribute or single/double quote specifics. Any help would be appreciated.

Write just " and not \" in the onClick attribute, or just omit the quotation marks:
onClick=Puma.saveTheCut()
The character \ has no special role in HTML; it’s just yet another character. So when you have onClick=\"Puma.saveTheCut()\", the actual attribute value is \"Puma.saveTheCut()\", which does not work of course, as you can see by looking at the console in the Developer Tools of your browser. You should see something the like following there:
SyntaxError: illegal character
\"Puma.saveTheCut()\"
(or with \"yup()\" when testing Agony’s jsfiddle).
As it is, the code should not work in any browser, and does not work in my IE 10 either.
I want to list all dates between 2 dates like..
list_dates('06/27/2013','07/31/2013');
This function will return all dates between 06/27/2013 - 07/31/2013 in array like..
['06/27/2013','06/28/2013','06/29/2013','06/30/2013','07/01/2013','...so_on..','07/31/2013'];
This function will work in all cases , Like older to newer , newer to older , or same dates like..
list_dates('06/27/2013','07/31/2013');
list_dates('07/31/2013','06/27/2013');
list_dates('07/31/2013','07/31/2013');
I do like...
function list_dates(a,b) {
var list = [];
var a_date = new Date(a);
var b_date = new Date(b);
if (a_date > b_date) {
} else if (a_date < b_date) {
} else {
list.push(a);
}
return list;
}

But how to get dates between 2 dates ?
try this

list_dates('03/21/2013', '02/14/2013');
list_dates('07/31/2013', '07/31/2013');
function list_dates(a, b) {

while (a_date >= b_date) {
var date_format = ('0' + (b_date.getMonth() + 1)).slice(-2) + '/' + ('0' + b_date.getDate()).slice(-2) + '/' + b_date.getFullYear();
list.push(date_format);
b_date = new Date(b_date.setDate(b_date.getDate() + 1));
}
