I have one page which has two cq dialogs.Assume it is dialog A and dialog B. Each dialog has 4 panels (CQ.Ext.Panel).
It is working independently. The issue here is when I do the toggle between these two dialogs, dialog A is having dialog B values and dialog B is having dialog A. I am just thinking to clear all the things while closing the dialog. I tried to clear panel values and get the component and removed like `Ext.getCmp(‘comp-name').removeAll();
I just overridden the CQ.Dialog.CANCEL behavior
{
text: "Custom Button",
handler: function() {
Ext.getCmp('comp-name').removeAll();
}
}
But these approaches are not fixing the issues. Could anyone help me to fix this issue?
Your description is not very clear but if this is the problem with component composition this link could be the approach. https://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-commons/features/cqinclude-namespace.html

I'm calling an Alertify Confirmation dialog while running a Bootstrap 4 Modal, and the problem is that the tab focus is not working in the first, while it is stucking in the last.
I believe it is something to do with the "tabindex=-1" which is added to the modal class Div based on Bootstrap 4 standards, so I've tried more than one concept trying resolving the problem, and still not working...
One of the concepts that I've thought will work was to toggle the "tabindex=-1" from the "modal" class div elements during the Alertify onshow and onclose events, and still not working!
let mymessage = "Update entry?";
alertify.confirm().set({title: "Confirm!"})
.set({labels: {ok:"Yes", cancel:"No"}})
.set("defaultFocus", "ok");
.set({onshow:function(){$(".modal").attr("tabindex","-2");}})
.set({onclose:function(){$(".modal").attr("tabindex","-1");}});
// Show confirmation message
alertify.confirm(mymessage, function(e){
if(e){
editRow();
} else {
alertify.notify("Entry update has been canceled!");
}
}).bringToFront();
Take a look at the tab sequence is still in the Modal Div while it is missing from the Alertify Confirmation dialog!
I will be appreciated for any support!
The following code resolves the issue:
let mymessage = "Update entry?";
// custom OK and Cancel label to Yes and No
alertify.confirm().set({title: "Confirm!"})
.set({labels: {ok:"Yes", cancel:"No"}})
.set("defaultFocus", "ok")
.set({onshow:function(){$(".modal").removeAttr("tabindex");}})
.set({onclose:function(){$(".modal").attr("tabindex","-1");
}});
// Show confirmation message
alertify.confirm(mymessage, function(e){
if(e){
editRow();
} else {
alertify.notify("Editing entry has been canceled!");
}
});
I am using feather-light modal in my page. on the modal one form is there with certain input fields. Once I fill in the fields and close the modal and when I open it again , it contains the previously filled data. I want to clear the data once it is closed. I am using angular js in my page.
Can anyone tell me how can I clear the feather-light modal using angular js?
Update-
In my code I have to open another modal after closing the first modal. And once second modal closes, if I am opening my first modal, its showing the previously filled data, I want to reset the modal data of first modal.
in my html I am using below code-
<button type="submit" ng-click="anotherModal(myForm)" ng-class="{ 'featherlight-close' : myForm.$valid}">Submit</button>
and in script I am using below code-
$scope.anotherModal= function (myForm) {
if ($scope.myForm.$valid) {
$scope.myForm.$submitted = true;
$.featherlight("#f12","open");
}
}
Can anyone tell me where should I add to reset the first modal?
Updated Plunker-
Please find my plunker here-

I am using persist ='shared' in my code because if I remove this then form validation won't work on first modal.
My issue is that when I open my second modal next time,it contains previously filled values and from there when I click on submit button my second modal doesn't show up.
Can anyone help me in solving my issue?
If you are using the persist option, then yeah, the form is persisted, so you'll have to clear it yourself.
If not, then you'll get a new copied form each time. In that case though, you'll have to be careful about how you bind it and avoid using any IDs, since those are supposed to be unique.
As far as I know featherlight is gallery plugin, used for displaying images in a lightbox. Considering this it is not meant to be used like that (even though you can, but it will not behave as you expect here out of the box), so that's why you'll have to cleanup behind you (or more specific your users), and on popup close action, clear all form fields. There are several ways to do that, eg. form reset button (input type="reset"), js callback on close popup or submit event (or in your case using angular js events), etc..
Since you didn't provide any code that's all I can tell you for now..

UPDATE
Not sure what exactly are you trying to achive here, but if you remove (or move inside showAnotherModal function) $.featherlight.defaults.persist=true; line, it works as you described, first popup is cleared when you open it for second time. Here is your snippet updated:
var app = angular.module('myApp', ['ngMessages']);
app.controller('myCtrl', function($scope) {
// $.featherlight.defaults.persist="shared";
$scope.showAnotherModal = function () {
$.featherlight.defaults.persist="shared";
if ($scope.myForm.$valid) {
$scope.myForm.$submitted = true;
$scope.myForm.dirty = false;
$scope.myForm.$setPristine();
$scope.myForm.$setUntouched();
$.featherlight("#fl3",'open');
}
}
});
I have a custom Onsen Dialog with two buttons, and these buttons have onclick code in their html. I create this dialog using a template, and later when I try to hide this dialog with method like this
var dialog = document.getElementById("dialogSearchFriend");
dialog.hide();
I get an error "hide() is not a function".
I debugged this, and the dialog variable seems to be a template, rather than a dialog.
How can I solve this?
window.onload=function(){
$("#dialogSearchFriend").fadeOut();
}
I have a dialog setup as follow
$("#myDialog").dialog({
autoOpen: true,
close: function(event, ui) {
$("#myDialog-content").html("");
$(this).dialog("destroy");
}
});
$("#myDialog").css("min-height","");
$("#myDialog-content").html("Loading...");
$.ajax({
...
success: function(response) {
$("#myDialog-content").html(response);
}
});
This working fine I load and close dialog in same page but not able to make it work properly where I move between pages.
Here is a my page flow
From source page(say PageA) I make AJAX call to load the page containing dialog div(say PageB).
Link on this page call above method to display dialog. (For first time it runs OK).
When I click close button. Dialog close and with firebug I can still see dialog div at the end with UI classes but in hidden state.
If I go back to source page (Page A) and reload the PageB.In firebug I can see two div - one originally from JSP and second one from step 3.
Now if I click button to load dialog box - It used hidden to populate new data and never use new div created by jquery. So I just have blank dialog box.
I am not sure if this is jquery Dialog issue or my page flow. One possible solution I though of is use remove in close function to remove dialog div completely but it puts burden to create this div everytime page PageB is loaded. Is there any other way or any thing I am doing wrong in this scenario?
If i understood correctly the situation, You have 2 options:
If you somehow cleaning the content of "Page B", remove the modal
then.
If you do not have the cleaning mechanism like that, just
.remove() content of modal on close
Sidenote: i would advise not to use jquery for .css and .html('Loading...'). Also, it is good to cache jquery elements in variables e.g var dialog = $("#myDialog");
I want to show a bootstrap modal immediately after user close another. So I use the following code trying to do this:
currentModal.modal('hide').on('hidden.bs.modal', function (){
nextModal.modal('show');
});
Everything happens normally. First modal closes and next modal appears.
However, the class="modal-open" should be in body element to scroll works properly, what is not happening. After second modal is shown, that class disappears from body.
Am I doing something wrong?
Am I doing something wrong?
I don't think so. The large number of issues on this topic suggests that this was either not well-designed, or not designed to support this. Relevant bugs would be
Multiple modals fix #5022, Multiple modals #11872 and
.modal-open is not applied to body when "switching" to another modal #11865 where it is explicitly said by #mdo:
Yup, we won't be supporting multiple modals.
So what to do about it?
A small timeout should definitely help:
currentModal.modal('hide').on('hidden.bs.modal', function (){
setTimeout(function() {
nextModal.modal('show');
}, 100);
});
Without seeing this in action, my guess is that there is some kind of callback handler that removes the class "modal-open". You can try manually adding it like this:
currentModal.modal('hide').on('hidden.bs.modal', function (){
nextModal.modal('show');
body.addClass('modal-open');
});
But instead of overriding Bootstrap, have you looked into data-dismiss and data-target?
