first time using angular-ui-router, cannot find view getting a 404 - javascript

I just migrated a working front end from brackets to Visual studio 2015, after having to re get all of my packages due to the 260 character limit and the deeply nested bower file paths I am getting a 404. I have been though my code three or four times and I just cannot seem to find the problem. Can somebody please take a look at what I have and point me in the right direction.
The error message is that it cannot find my file moduleindex.html in its specified location. But I double check the path and that is where it is.
Here is app.js and app.config.js
(function() {
'use strict';
angular
.module('app', ['ui.router']);
})();
(function() {
angular
.module('app').config(function($urlRouterProvider, $stateProvider) {
$urlRouterProvider.otherwise('/');
$stateProvider.state('main', {
url: '/',
templateUrl: '/views/moduleIndex.html'
});
$stateProvider.state('register', {
url: '/register',
templateUrl: '/views/register.html',
cotroller: 'register'
});
$stateProvider.state('userSettings', {
url: '/userSettings',
templateUrl: '/views/userSettings.html',
cotroller: 'userSettings'
});
$stateProvider.state('doctorView', {
url: '/doctorView',
templateUrl: '/views/doctorView.html',
cotroller: 'doctorView'
});
$stateProvider.state('injuriesDict', {
url: '/injuriesDict',
templateUrl: '/views/injuriesDictionary.html',
cotroller: 'injuriesDictionary'
});
$stateProvider.state('excercisesDict', {
url: '/excercisesDict',
templateUrl: '/views/excercisesDictionary.html',
cotroller: 'injuriesDictionary'
});
$stateProvider.state('patientEntry', {
url: '/patientEntry',
templateUrl: '/views/patientEntryForm.html',
cotroller: 'patientEntry'
});
$stateProvider.state('patientView', {
url: '/patientView',
templateUrl: '/views/patientView.html',
cotroller: 'patientView'
});
$stateProvider.state('therapistView', {
url: '/therapistView',
templateUrl: '/views/therapistView.html',
cotroller: 'therapistView'
});
$stateProvider.state('adminView', {
url: '/adminView',
templateUrl: '/views/adminView.html',
cotroller: 'adminView'
});
});
})();

I know I am breaking papas put the controller, view, and anything else needed for that module in one place principle. But I am just prototyping something really quick.
Does anybody see where I might be getting my 404, again this was all working fin with no errors in the console coded in brackets. I need to move into visual studio so that I can integrate with Web API. forgive me if it is something dumb, I am still learning Angular.
Thanks in advance, John.

Angular 1.8 ng-view not loading html pages and no errors

Im exploring Angular 1.8 recently due to a company requirement, and Im trying to create a simple SPA, but when I try to load html templates inside my Index page using ng-view nothing happens:
Here's my project directory:
-Wapp
--pages
----home.htm
----forecast.htm
--public
----js
------app.js
--views
----index.ejs
--app.js // This one just starts listening in local host and has ejs config for views
This is the js/app.js for angular code :
//Module
var weatherApp = angular.module('weatherApp', ['ngRoute']);
//Routes
weatherApp.config(function($routeProvider){
$routeProvider
.when('/home', {
templateUrl: '../../pages/home.htm',
controller: 'homeController'
})
.when('/forecast', {
templateUrl: '../../pages/forecast.htm',
controller: 'forecastController'
})
});
//Controllers
weatherApp.controller('homeController', ['$scope', function($scope){
$scope.city = 'NY';
}]);
weatherApp.controller('forecastController', ['$scope', function($scope){
}]);
My index.ejs view that is the main page:

Saving data from a page in the local storage

This is my first time asking or doing this type of question
So I created this page http://lamp.cse.fau.edu/~mcuervo5/p4/
and it does your basic to do app list thing for adding and deleting stuff.
Apparently the only thing missing is to save the data on the current page. I heard that there a code that can save the current page to a local storage that has everything already in it, so when I re-open the link, instead of having nothing in the "complete and incomplete" list, it should look like this
thanks, it the only part I have left to do & I dont know if it implemented in HTMl or Jquery. I do not know how to do it.
and if you want to see the code here instead of "inspect" from the page with the link above, here it is. for html and Jquery
$(document).ready(function() {
// $('#list').innerhtml = localStorage.getItem("List");
//$('#incomplete-tasks').html("<P>I just replaced your stuff.</P>");
$("#Sumbit_Button").click(function() {
var textbox_Value = $("#textbox").val();
$('#incomplete-tasks').append('<li><span class="text" contenteditable="false">' + textbox_Value + "</span>" +
'<input/ style="display: none" class="new-value">' +

Hello you can do something like this:
$("#Sumbit_Button").click(function() {
var textbox_Value = $("#textbox").val();
var list = [];
list.push(textbox_Value);
localStorage.setItem("listdata", list);
// do not manage using `append` whole html. Manage through list and display as you want
});
on page load call:
var stored = localStorage.getItem("listdata");
Now here you can manage array of items and iterate on complete & incomplete list.
So whenever any action of edit, delete, add occurs you have to just manage the localstorage instance on each call. and based on that just iterate list whereever you want.

Links not working with angular ui-router

So I've set up ui-router and I had it working a few minutes ago, sort of, it would display the template with content loaded from another html file, but none of the links would work. Now nothing is working: the template shows up but the content is not pulled in and none of the links work.
Ctrl.js
var site = angular.module('site', ['ui.router']);
site.config(function($stateProvider, $urlRouterProvider) {
$stateProvider
.state('page', {
url: '/page',
templateUrl: 'page.html',
})
.state('about', {
url: '/about',
templateUrl: 'about.html',
});
$urlRouterProvider.otherwise('/page');
})

Your state URL is /about, not /about.html.
In any case, use the ui-sref directive, that's what it's for
<a ui-sref="about">about</a>
You simply pass in the state name (and any params, see the documentation) and it will create the right URL for you taking into account any $locationProvider.html5mode configuration.
If you are loading the app via file:///some/path/to/index.html, the AJAX requests to your templates (ie about.html) might not work. You should be using an HTTP server for your local development.
Have a look at (or even just clone as a base) the angular-seed project. It provides an excellent starting point for first-time Angular development.
You are mistake the state URL
your code <li>about</li>
You can access the state by URL from browser, but referencing other section of the app is a bad practice though it still works
<li>about</li>
Do this
<li><a ui-sref="about">about</a></li>
your state URL is mistake, is /about not /about.html
Try this
<li><a ui-sref="about">about</a></li>
For link to work you need to use
about
instead of
about.
Also for content to pull in like data binding you need to use controller.
Try this, just make sure test.html be there.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.4.8/angular.min.js"></script>

var module = angular.module("sampleApp", ['ngRoute']);
module.config(['$routeProvider',
function($routeProvider) {
$routeProvider.
when('/route1', {
controller: 'myCtrl',
templateUrl: 'test.html'
}).
otherwise({
redirectTo: '/'
});
}]);
module.controller("MainController", function($scope) {
});
module.controller("myCtrl", function($scope) {
$scope.my = 10;
ab = function() {
alert($scope.my);
}
});
</script>

Angular injected pages with long content make entire page load below the top of the page, cutting off the page title

See how in the plunker below, when you click on link one or link three, the pages do not load at the top of the page so you cannot see the page title, you have to actually scroll up to see the page title. Why is this? How can I make it so it loads the page at the top, like a regular webpage?
Here's the plunker.
Here's my js:
var routerApp = angular.module('routerApp', ['ui.router','ui.bootstrap']);
routerApp.config(function($stateProvider, $urlRouterProvider, $locationProvider) {
$urlRouterProvider.otherwise('/home');
$locationProvider.html5Mode(false).hashPrefix("");
$stateProvider
// HOME VIEW ========================================

url: '/home',
templateUrl: 'partial-home.html'
// onEnter: scrollContent
})
// ONE VIEW ========================================
.state('one', {
url: '/one',
templateUrl: 'partial-one.html'
})
// TWO VIEW ========================================
.state('two', {
url: '/two',
templateUrl: 'partial-two.html'
})
// THREE VIEW ========================================

Add autoscroll="false" to your ui-view to prevent this behavior.
<div class="container" style="padding-top:68px;">
<div ui-view autoscroll="false"></div>
</div>
Plunker demo
See the documentation about ui-view and autoscroll directives:
autoscroll
(optional)
string
It allows you to set the scroll behavior of the browser window when a view is populated. By default, $anchorScroll is overridden by ui-router's custom scroll service, ui.router.state.$uiViewScroll. This custom service let's you scroll ui-view elements into view when they are populated during a state activation.

AngularJS templates not loading/rendering

So I'm trying to run an Angular app with a Rails API on Chrome.
I'm trying to render very simple views from their respective controllers.
My users.js controller:
'use strict';
var rantlyApp = angular.module('rantlyApp', ['ngRoute']);
rantlyApp.config(['$routeProvider', function($routeProvider) {
$routeProvider
.when('/users', {
templateUrl: '/views/users.html',
controller: 'UsersCtrl'
});
}])
.controller('UsersCtrl', ['$scope', '$http', function ($scope, $http) {
$http.get('http://localhost:3000/api/users/').success(function(data) {
$scope.users = data.users;
});
$scope.foos = ['foo', 'bar', 'baz'];
}]);
users.html view:
<div ng-controller='UsersCtrl'>
<h1>Users</h1>
<ul ng-repeat="user in users">
<li>{{user.first_name}}</li>
</ul>
<ul ng-repeat="foo in foos">
<li>{{foo}}</li>
</ul>
</div>
The users page renders fine, and I get all the data I want. But when I try to load my main page, I get nothing. No errors, just a blank screen (though the navbar and everything else I have in my index.html loads properly).
My main.js controller:
'use strict';
var rantlyApp = angular.module('rantlyApp', ['ngRoute']);
rantlyApp.config(['$routeProvider', function($routeProvider) {
$routeProvider
.when('/', {
templateUrl: '/views/main.html',
controller: 'MainCtrl'
});
}])
.controller('MainCtrl', ['$scope', function ($scope) {
$scope.awesomeThings = [
'foo',
'bar',
'baz'
];
$scope.addThing = function() {
$scope.awesomeThings.push($scope.newThing);
$scope.newThing = '';
};
}]);
main.html view:
<div ng-controller="MainCtrl">
<form ng-submit='addThing()'>
<div class="form-horizontal">
<input type="text" ng-model="newThing">
<input type="submit" value="Add Thing">
</div>
</form>
<li ng-repeat='thing in awesomeThings'>
{{thing}}
</li>
<h4>Awesome things: {{awesomeThings}}</h4>
<h4>Cool things: {{coolThings}}</h4>
</div>
When I look at the inspector in the Network tab for the "/users" route, it loads users.html. This doesn't happen for the "/" route. I expect it to load main.html, but I get nothing.
The strange thing is, when I copy all of my code from my main.js and just throw it into my users.js, everything works fine. This told me maybe I wasn't loading it properly into the index.html page, but it seems to me that I am.

I'm extremely new to Angular so it's quite possible I'm missing a fundamental step in setting up the controllers. Since my code works based purely off of which file I have it in, I have a feeling I'm not configuring something properly in Angular.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
When you write
var rantlyApp = angular.module('rantlyApp', ['ngRoute']);
You are creating a new module called rantlyApp and removing any old module with the same name. So when the users.js script runs it overwrites what you defined in main.js.
Instead define your module once, and retrieve it with:
var rantlyApp = angular.module('rantlyApp');
Check the documentation.
