I've used bootstrap modal so that when I click on the div the modal pops up. However, on clicking close, if I click back on the div the modal does not pop up again. Just wondering how I can do this.
The HTML:
<div class="col-sm-3 col-lg-3" id="userdiv">
<div class="modal fade " data-backdrop="false">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close"><span aria-hidden="true">×</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal title</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>One fine body…</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div><!-- /.modal-content -->
</div><!-- /.modal-dialog -->
</div><!-- /.modal -->
The JS:
var $modal = $('.modal').modal({
show: false
});
$('#userdiv').on('click', function() {
$modal.modal('show');
});
This should work without any JS
jsFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/b501uat6/1/
<div class="col-sm-3 col-lg-3" id="userdiv" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#myModal"> CLICK EXACTLY ON THE TEXT
<div class="modal fade " id='myModal' data-backdrop="false">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close"><span aria-hidden="true">×</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal title</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>One fine body…</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div><!-- /.modal-content -->
</div><!-- /.modal-dialog -->
</div><!-- /.modal -->
You should move your <div class="modal fade>...</div> outside of your <div id="userdiv">...</div>, that way, the .click() function will be captured correctly and open the modal:
<div class="col-sm-3 col-lg-3" id="userdiv">
<h4>User Div</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal fade " data-backdrop="false">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close"><span aria-hidden="true">×</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal title</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>One fine body…</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div><!-- /.modal-content -->
</div><!-- /.modal-dialog -->
</div><!-- /.modal -->
See this bootply for an example.

I want to show the pop up modal if there is no input in text and also show pop up modal if there is any input text according to condition.
I have used two modal but it is not working. I have used IF condition to show the different modal according to condition but I am getting the same modal box having the title "Modal title".

There is No need to use variable you need to use $('#test').val() == "" || $('#test').val() == null to check the condition.. for your scenario if you really want to use variable than you need to define inside click function.. working demo as below -:)
$('#go').click(function() {
if ($('#test').val() == "" || $('#test').val() == null ) {
$('#\\#myModal').modal('show');
}
else{
$('#\\#myModal1').modal('show');
}
});

You are trying to get value when script loads var test1 = $('#test').val();. SO when script loads the value of test1 will be blank so only one poup will work. Put this statement inside the condition var test1 = $('#test').val();
<script type="text/javascript">
$('#go').click(function () {
var test1 = $('#test').val();
if (test1 === "") {
$('#\\#myModal').modal('show');
} else {
$('#\\#myModal1').modal('show');
}
});
</script>

You dose't have to add # while giving id to div.and you can call it with #sign.you have to get input value again when click event is triggered on button.here you can check the working code at JSFiddle Your updated Code snippet

JS Code:
$('#go').click(function() {

The bootstrap editor is working good, but I want to display the entered data into a div with the id: enclousere. It works fine but the data should display like this:
Enclouser:first enclousersecond enclouser3rd enclouser
But it displays like:
Enclouser:<div><ol><li>first enclouser</li><li>second enclouser</li><li>3rd enclouser</li></ol></div>
My model:
<div class="modal fade" id="myModale" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="myModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-hidden="true">×</button>
<h4 class="modal-title" id="myModalLabel">Add Enclosure</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body sol">
<textarea id="textareaIDe" class="form-control"></textarea>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button type="button" id="savedatae" data-dismiss="modal" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div><!-- /.modal-content -->
</div><!-- /.modal-dialog -->
</div><!-- /.modal -->
MY JQuery:
$('#myModala').on('shown.bs.modal', function () {
$('#textareaIDe').focus();
})
$("#savedatae").click(function(){
var message = $('.sol .Editor-editor').html();
alert(message);
$('#enclousere').text(message);
//alert(message);
});
Tag used to display:
<div class="fsize" id="enclousere"></div>
Use
.html(message);
Instead of
.text(message);
I have placed a sample modal in the front end of my application.
The modal is the following:
<div id="myModal" class="modal fade" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<!-- Modal content-->
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal Header</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>Some text in the modal.</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
I got the code for the modal from here:
http://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_modal.asp
The modal is nested like this:
<div className="col-md-4 no-padding max-height-col">
<div className="panel panel-default no-padding max-height">
<div className="panel-heading" >
<h2 className="panel-title headingText">
Attributes <span className="glyphicon glyphicon-plus" aria-hidden="true"></span>
<!-- Trigger the modal with a button -->
<button type="button" class="btn btn-info btn-lg" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#myModal">Open Modal</button>
<!-- Modal -->
<div id="myModal" class="modal fade" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<!-- Modal content-->
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal Header</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>Some text in the modal.</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</h2>
</div>
</div>
</div>
However, when I deploy the code to the server, the modal's code does not appear in the page.
I am certain that I am building and deploying correctly.
Any ideas about why this is happening?
I think that your problem is that you haven't imported all the required libs. You have to know that bootstrap require JQuery and if you don't include it your modal won't be displayed. This example work (I put also the include of JQuery)
<html>
<head>
<title>Hello</title>
<link href='bootstrap-3.3.5-dist/css/bootstrap.min.css' rel='stylesheet' />
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src='bootstrap-3.3.5-dist/js/bootstrap.min.js'></script>
</head>
<body>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-info btn-lg" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#myModal">Open Modal</button>
<div id="myModal" class="modal fade" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<!-- Modal content-->
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal Header</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>Some text in the modal.</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
My bootstrap modal is working when using data-toggle="modal" data-target="chart" But when I open a modal using javascript .modal() it turns the page into all white.
HTML:
<div id="myModal">
<div class="modal fade">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal"><span aria-hidden="true">×</span><span class="sr-only">Close</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal title</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>One fine body…</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div><!-- /.modal-content -->
</div><!-- /.modal-dialog -->
</div><!-- /.modal -->
</div>
JAVASCRIPT:
var base = $('#myModal');
base.modal();
//i even tried base.modal("show")
Your id attribute myModal has to be placed into your <div class="modal"> element.
The following code could work :
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">

</div>

<p>One fine body…</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">

<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div><!-- /.modal-content -->
</div><!-- /.modal-dialog -->
</div><!-- /.modal -->
<!-- Button trigger modal -->
<button class="btn btn-primary btn-lg" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#myModal">
Launch demo modal
</button>
<script type="text/javascript">
$('#myModal').modal('show');

I am new to bootstrap. I have a situation where I have to Show a Bootstrap Modal, When I click any button on that Modal I'll have to show another modal below that 1st Modal (Not Stackable). If I close the 1st Modal 2nd Modal has to go up to replace the position of 1st Modal.
Is it possible ?
Any help ?
You can listen to the "close" event of the first model to open the second model:
Bind a function to Twitter Bootstrap Modal Close
$('#my-modal').on('hidden.bs.modal', function () {
window.alert('hidden event fired!');
})
Manually open the second model:
$('#otherModel').modal('toggle')
An example:
Your HTML code:
<!-- Button trigger modal -->
<a data-toggle="modal" href="#myModal" class="btn btn-primary btn-lg">Launch demo modal</a>
<!-- Modal -->
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="myModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">
