Convert the y-axis values to Millions in dual axis high charts - javascript

I am using dual-axis highcharts. In the y-axis the values are too big to read. I wold like to convert them to shortcuts like 1K for 1000 and 1.0L for 100000 and 1.0M for 1000000 and 35.8M for 35869982 and 3.5M for 3550977.
This is my FIDDLE
$(function () {
$('#container').highcharts({
chart: {
zoomType: 'xy'
},
title: {
text: 'Average Monthly Temperature and Rainfall in Tokyo'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Source: WorldClimate.com'
},
xAxis: [{
categories: ['MAR-2014', 'APR-2014', 'MAY-2014', 'JUN-2014',
'JUL-2014', 'AUG-2014', 'SEP-2014', 'OCT-2014', 'NOV-2014', 'DEC-2014'],
crosshair: true
}],
yAxis: [{ // Primary yAxis

style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[1]
}
},

}
}, { // Secondary yAxis

},

});
});
Here I have rounded up where I want to make changes in the below figure

You need to make a use of formatter:
formatter: function(){
return this.value/1000000 + "M";
}
Fiddle

To utilize the built in "shortening" functionality you can just remove your yAxis.label.format. You have currently set it to {value}, which is the default, but manually setting it seems to prevent the metric prefixes from being applied.
Look at this JSFiddle example, where all I've changed is removing the following line from both of your y-axis labels:
format: '{value}'
With this automatic shortening the following metric prefixes may be applied:
[ "k" , "M" , "G" , "T" , "P" , "E"]
You can set your own values with the lang.numericSymbols option (API).

Section wise labeling in highchart

I'm making a graph with multiple y-axis using this Highchart but i'm stuck while making multiple labels for x-axis.
currently i reached on this
Highcharts.chart('container', {
chart: {
zoomType: 'xy'
},
title: {
text: 'Average Week Comparison'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Values: Wastage and OEE'
},
xAxis: [{
categories: days.reverse(),
crosshair: true
}],
yAxis: [{ // Primary yAxis
labels: {
format: '{value}%',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[1]
}
},
title: {
text: 'OEE',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[1]
}
}
}, { // Secondary yAxis
title: {
text: 'Waste',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0]
}
},
labels: {
format: '{value} %',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0]
}
},
opposite: true
}],
tooltip: {
shared: true
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'left',
x: 120,
verticalAlign: 'top',
y: 100,
floating: true,
backgroundColor: (Highcharts.theme && Highcharts.theme.legendBackgroundColor) || '#FFFFFF'
},
series: [{
name: 'OEE',
type: 'column',
yAxis: 1,
data: oee.reverse(),
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' %'
}
}, {
name: 'Waste',
type: 'spline',
data: [7.0, 6.9, 9.5, 14.5, 18.2, 21.5],
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' %'
}
}]
});
current output is this where i manipulated x and y axis dynamically.
Now i want to add sections on x-axis values in 3 value chunks
below is the relevant graph(not actual)
I'm not good at JS can anyone help me to figure out whether it is possible to print x-axis in sections like above image.
Your help will be highly push me to solve this problem.
Also if any other library can do it? you can mention its link.
You can use 'grouped-categories.js' plugin.
xAxis: {
categories: [{
name: "Fruit",
categories: ["Apple", "Banana", "Orange"]
}, {
name: "Vegetable",
categories: ["Carrot", "Potato", "Tomato"]
}, {
name: "Fish",
categories: ["Cod", "Salmon", "Tuna"]
}]
}

Highcharts is rounding off the decimal values to 0. How to avoid it?

I am passing the ecpm as you can see below as ["0.4", "0.2", "0.6", "0.3"] to be the data for y axis to draw a spline on a multi axis graph, using highcharts. But it is drawing the spline as a straight horizontal line considering the values as 0. Values on tooltip for every point is also coming as 0.
Following is the script used:
$('#dual-axes-line-and-column4').highcharts({
chart: {
zoomType: 'xy'
},
title: {
text: 'Some Matrix'
},
subtitle: {
text: ''
},
xAxis: [{
categories: perfCategoriesStr
}],
yAxis: [
{ // Primary yAxis
labels: {
format: '{value}',
style: {
color: '#89A54E'
}
},
title: {
text: 'Views',
style: {
color: '#89A54E'
}
},
opposite:false
}, { // Secondary yAxis
title: {
text: 'Revenue in $',
style: {
color: '#4572A7'
}
},
labels: {
format: '{value}',
style: {
color: '#4572A7'
}
},
opposite: true
}, { // Secondary yAxis
title: {
text: 'eCPM in $',
style: {
color: '#4572A7'
}
},
labels: {
format: '{value}',
style: {
color: '#4572A7'
}
},
opposite: true
}],
tooltip: {
shared: true
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'left',
x: 70,
verticalAlign: 'top',
y: 10,
floating: true,
backgroundColor: '#FFFFFF'
},
series: [{
name: 'Views',
color: '#4572A7',
type: 'column',
data: views,
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' views'
}
}, {
name: 'Revenue',
color: '#89A54E',
type: 'spline',
yAxis:1,
data: revenue,
tooltip: {
valuePrefix: '$ '
}
}, {
name: 'eCPM',
color: '#000000',
type: 'spline',
yAxis: 1,
data: ecpm,
tooltip: {
valuePrefix: '$ '
}
}]
});
Just figured it out. The values passed should be a number rather than a string. Its working fine if we are passing javascript numbers in an array instead of string as you can see in the question.

how to add comma between the digit (as a label )

I am working on high chart .I want to add comma between the digit (as a label ).I am using high chart
http://jsfiddle.net/xpLgj7n5/
As shown in image there is gap between 0 and 7 .I understand this , it is because number represent the thousand. I need to add comma between them ",".I need to display numbers like this "10,700" when I change the data nothing happen
I change the data like this
data: [10,700, 31,00, 63,500, 20,300, 2,000]
nothing happen.
$(function () {
$('#container').highcharts({
chart: {
type: 'bar'
},
title: {
text: 'Historic World Population by Region'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Source: Wikipedia.org'
},
xAxis: {
categories: ['Africa', 'America', 'Asia', 'Europe', 'Oceania'],
title: {
text: null
}
},
yAxis: {
min: 0,
title: {
text: 'Population (millions)',
align: 'high'
},
labels: {
overflow: 'justify'
}
},
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' millions'
},
plotOptions: {
bar: {
dataLabels: {
enabled: true
}
}
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'right',
verticalAlign: 'top',
x: -40,
y: 80,
floating: true,
borderWidth: 1,
backgroundColor: ((Highcharts.theme && Highcharts.theme.legendBackgroundColor) || '#FFFFFF'),
shadow: true
},
credits: {
enabled: false
},
series: [{
name: 'Year 1800',
data: [10700, 3100, 63500, 20300, 2000]
}]
});
});
Refer to documentation
Highcharts.setOptions({
lang: {
thousandsSep: ','
}
});
Fiddle
That may work, but this also works:
plotOptions: {
line: {
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
format: '${y:,.2f}'
}
}
}
$ - for dollar sign
Y - for y axis
, - adds a comma where a space would be
2f - two digits after decimal point
ex: format: '${y:,.2f}' would show up as $10,000.00

Column width in Highcharts when combined with spline

I have this annoying thing in Highcharts that I cannot figure out. I have graphs that are dynamically generated and can contain multiple columns and splines. In the example the spline is a temperature measurement and contains lots of data points. The two columns are grouped by day and therefore contain only one value per day.
When I use this combination the column width becomes almost invisible:

I have been searching for ways to dynamically control the width of columns by using pointWidth but this gets me into a hole new area of issues, as I am not always sure if there is a combination of columns and splines and what the date range is.
Is there a trick to solve this? I hope I have missed something simple.
I was reading through the API description of Highcharts when I noticed an option to have multiple x axis. Since my problem seemed to be related to scaling on the x axis I decided to give it a go...
I created a new x axis for the line data and it works like a charm. Of course we do not want to see multiple x axis, so a little fiddling with the settings hides it again.
My x axis definition now looks like this:
xAxis: [{
type: 'datetime',
},{
type: 'datetime',
lineWidth: 0,
minorGridLineWidth: 0,
lineColor: 'transparent',
opposite: true,
labels: {
enabled: false
},
minorTickLength: 0,
tickLength: 0
}],
On the data series that has 'too many' points I simply added 'xAxis: 1'.

Highchart set min on combo-duel-axis

Been looking and trying every thing I found and can think of.
I'm trying to set a minimum for the chart for the Y-axis (Time ms) & 100 max for the percentage on the x-axis and can't figure out where to put the
{min: 0} // For Time
{max: 100} // for the percent x-axis
Some places it works but takes away some of the chart data or menu's
