recently i visited APACHE FLEXJS and it says flexjs can work without flash/air.Now i face the situation to work with flash but flash not supported in ios.So can i choose flexjs for this?or When i go to `flexjs'.
You can use FlexJS with PhoneGap. Or you can run FlexJS apps directly in Safari on IOS devices.

I have designed a website using Firefox and am now looking to integrate a softphone into the webpage, but unfortunately it is made with ActiveX, so Firefox won't support it.
I have tried opening my page in IE9, and it looks a mess because I've used CSS3 for a lot of it and haven't coded it for different browsers because we will only be using Firefox within the office.
Is there a way that I can tell my page in Firefox to specifically open a new page in Internet Explorer and just have the softphone in there? Or is there a way to get ActiveX running in Firefox with a plugin or something?
You can open a link in Microsoft Edge from any browser by adding microsoft-edge: in front of the url in the HREF.

I don't know how to get it to work in other browsers though. My team and I spent quite a bit of time on it and couldn't find a raw HTML/JavaScript solution.
I don't think you can open a IE window from firefox, but you can easily build a firefox plugin based on your activex using http://code.google.com/p/ff-activex-host/
It really depends on your exact situation.
If you are targeting multiple users outside a corporate network this is hardly possible to achieve. However, if you are targeting your company's network it's possible to do this using custom protocol.
Your link then would look like: ie://opens_in_ie.com

IETab V2 will let you open a tab within Firefox that runs the IE engine.
Once installed, you can force a link to open with IE by formatting the URL or bookmark like this:

It's somewhat specific, but I created an internal site at work, and I wanted to link to another internal site that only works in IE. To do this, I created/defined my own application protocol in the registry. Then I added to my links the protocol header. This is similar to what apple does when you click a link and it opens iTunes. The downside to this approach, however, is that users will have to install the registry modification for it to work... like I said, it's really a solution for a very specific scenario.

If you want to start from for example in Internet Explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe and create a shortcut to the Desktop.
When you check the properties from this created shortcut, you will see the Target: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.
Now you can place the shortcut from the website, behind the Target. It will show something like this: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe www.nu.nl. Or this C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe https://stackoverflow.com.
This way it opens IE first and then the website.
Since I read Google's message that NPAPI will no longer be supported by the end of 2014, I've been looking for an alternative. The issue is that we currently use a custom made Kinect Browserplugin which we use to control the browser with JS and control Unity Web Player games with your body.
Without NPAPI support it simply won't work anymore and our work will be lost. Google gives NaCl as an alternative but this doesn't support interaction with hardware.
The main question I have is: How to use the Kinect in a webbased platform and crossbrowser?
Currently we have the "normal" Kinect and the Kinect One from the closed beta working in the browser and Unity Web Player.
Please share your thoughts on a solution.

If I was in your position, I would have a look at the chrome.usb API or possibly, depending on your use case, node-kinect.

Probably your best approach at this point is to continue using NPAPI except in Chrome, and in Chrome use native messaging. Of course, Chrome has made it as difficult as they can to install the host that you'll be connecting to, so it'll be a pain and you'll have to install the extension and the host seperately, but there you go.

From chrome 61 you can do this, here is demo I found online. I've tested it on latest Android Chrome (on Android Oreo) and it works fine.
The quick answer is you can't.
I made this sample: http://jsbin.com/AdAPEmu/2 which constructs the Intent as it would appear for Android and Chrome doesn't recognise it, it needs a package to go with it.
This article, Triggering a native Share intent on Android from the web, may provide more details about why triggering intents from a web page doesn't currently work as well as it could.
So, yes, apparently you can make this work, but probably only with your own target applications (applications for which you have control over the manifest).

Javascript cannot access your hardware directly. What you need, is a client side technology that can. Flash, for one.
Javascript can communicate quite easily with flash, so you can hide your flash recorder and construct your recorder ui with html/js/css.

I realize this is not EXACTLY what you need, but you didn't tell why you want a JS solution. This doesn't fix the flash dependency problem but it solves the UI problem since you can construct the UI without flash.
Another wellknow solution is WAMI, I know it's not pure javascript but maybe it can help.

There have been a number of attempts to get Flash onto iOS devices (converting Flash apps to iOS apps, or recreating the runtime in JavaScript) but I doubt any of the solutions would be suitable.
You’d be better off building your application in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Apple does not support Flash on its iOS devices. Apple and Adobe had quite a nasty bust-up over this issue. And, to make matters worse, it doesn't look like its going to improve any time soon (see here). So the only thing you can do is use HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to develop your web apps for iOS.
