Draggable connected to sortable - javascript

I want to be able to drag items from one Infragistics DataGrid to another, while the items in the Destination grid are also sortable.
Unfortunately, I cannot use jsfiddle because I cannot use the infragistics controls there.
$("[id*=sourceGrid] [id*=dataTbl] tbody tr").draggable({
helper: "clone",
revert: "invalid",
connectToSortable: '[id*=destination]'
});
$("[id*=destinationGrid]").sortable({
cursor: 'move',
helper: fixHelperModified,
revert: true,
items: "[id*=container] [id*=dataTbl] tbody tr:not(.placeholder)",
receive: function (event, ui) {
var grid = $IG.WebDataGrid.find("destinationGrid");
$sentence = $(ui.item).find("td").eq(0).html();
var row = new Array(Math.floor((Math.random() * 100) + 1), $sentence, $order);
grid.get_rows().add(row);
}
});
The problem is: When I drop items from the sourceGrid to the destinationGrid, I don't want the draggable to be placed into the new Grid - I only want to use the receive function to create a new row in the grid with the values from the draggable element. Right now, I get both - the newly created gridRow and the dropped item. How can I prevent that?

You can catch the copied item in the beforeStop event.
var newItem;
$(".list").sortable({
connectWith: ".list",
beforeStop: function (event, ui) {
newItem = ui.item;
},
receive: function(event,ui) {
$(newItem).doSomething();
}
});

Jquery - appending after re-registering

On this script I have drag and drop fieldsets (left menu - top). Drag multiple fieldsets into the right "working area". In those fieldsets is an area for dropping Fields (of which I have one, left menu - bottom). Drop "Field One" into any of the dropped Fieldset (under the line in the "Drop Fields Here" area) in the working area.
I want to then move that Field One from the Fieldset I dropped it into and into the other Fieldset in the working area. I have got the Field One draggable but I cannot get it to append to the new Fieldset.
I am not wanting to delete the Field and replace it with another clone from the left menu. I am new to jquery so my code may be a bit messy. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jsfiddle and code below.
I believe the code issue is between line 21-29...but I am not sure.
JsFiddle Link
$(document).ready(function() {
var fs_count = 0;
$("#drop-area").droppable({
accept: '.ui-draggable:not(.draggableField , .activeField)',
drop: function(event, ui) {
fs_count++;
var clone = $(ui.draggable).clone()
clone.addClass('.connectedSortable')
// clone.removeClass('.ui-draggable');
if (clone.hasClass('dropped')) {
return false;
}
clone.addClass('.connectedSortable').addClass('dropped').attr('id', 'fs_' + fs_count);
$(this).append(clone);
var fs_class = clone.attr('class');
alert('You added a field with class ' + fs_class);
var fieldsDroppable = $('#drop-area .ui-draggable:last-child .fieldDroppable');
fieldsDroppable.droppable({
accept: '.draggableField , .activeField',
drop: function(event, ui) {
var clone = $(ui.draggable).clone();
if (clone.hasClass('draggableField')) { // If else to prevent clones reproducing in Fieldsets when moving from original Fieldset.
clone.removeClass('ui-draggable , draggableField').addClass('activeField');
$(this).append(clone);
}
else {
// Append the div here?
}
var cloneClass = clone.attr('class'); // Temporary varialble for develpoment alert below
alert('you dropped a field' + cloneClass); // Temporary for development only
// Below re-register the "field" with jquery....not sure this is entirely correct.
var fieldsDraggable = $('#drop-area .ui-draggable .fieldDroppable .activeField');
fieldsDraggable.draggable();
}});
} });
$(".fieldDroppable").droppable({
accept: '.draggableField , .activeField',
drop: function(event, ui) {
var clone = $(ui.draggable).clone()
$(this).append(clone);
}
});
$(".ui-draggable").draggable({
opacity: 1.0,
helper: 'clone',
revert: 'invalid'
});
$(".draggableField").draggable({
opacity: 1.0,
helper: 'clone',
revert: 'false'
});
$(".activeField").draggable();
$("#drop-area").sortable({
handle: '.drag-handle',
update: function () { //triggered when sorting stopped
var dataAuto = $("#drop-area").sortable("serialize", {
key: "za",
attribute: "id",
});
alert(dataAuto);
}
});
$("#drop-area").disableSelection();
});
There will be a lot of work to do here, yet you can get over this hurdle like so:
https://jsfiddle.net/Twisty/6trmrfoo/32/
Basically, you want to assign a new .droppable() to a specific element in the field set when it is added to the #drop-area. I would advise using a function as you will do this a multitude of times.
You can also make use of .data() to store a source value along with the draggable elements. I only did this for fields since that was the only pace it seemed like it was needed. You can updated this once it's dropped into a fieldset so that future drag-n-drop operations can be handled properly, we don't want to clone the object we move it.
To move it, consider using .detach(). It'll detach the element from the current parent and can be used in chain to append or move into memory as a variable. Similar to .clone() just we're manipulating the actual object. .clone() is to "Copy & Paste" as .detach() is to "Cut & Paste".
JavaScript
$(function() {
var fs_count = 0;
function makeFieldTarget($fs) {
$fs.droppable({
accept: '.draggableField, .activeField',
drop: function(event, ui) {
var clone, cloneClass;
if (ui.draggable.data("source") == "sidebar") {
clone = $(ui.draggable).clone();
clone.removeClass('draggableField').addClass('activeField');
$(this).append(clone);
cloneClass = clone.attr('class');
console.log('DROPFIELD - you dropped a field from the side bar: ' + cloneClass);
clone.data("source", "fieldset").draggable({
zIndex: 1000
});
}
if (ui.draggable.data("source") == "fieldset") {
clone = ui.draggable;
clone.detach().attr("style", "").appendTo($(this));
cloneClass = clone.attr('class');
console.log('DROPFIELD - you dropped a field from a Field set: ' + cloneClass);
}
}
});
}
$("#drop-area").droppable({
accept: '.ui-draggable:not(.draggableField, .activeField)',
drop: function(event, ui) {
fs_count++;
var clone = $(ui.draggable).clone()
clone.addClass('connectedSortable');
if (clone.hasClass('dropped')) {
return false;
}
clone.addClass('connectedSortable dropped').attr('id', 'fs_' + fs_count);
$(this).append(clone);
var fs_class = clone.attr('class');
console.log('DROPAREA - You added a field with class ' + fs_class);
makeFieldTarget(clone.find(".fieldDroppable"));
$("#drop-area").sortable("refresh");
}
});
$(".ui-draggable").draggable({

how to avoid drag and drop for a specific list item in sap.m.list

I have implemented drag n drop for sap.m.list as below. Now I need to avoid drag an drop for specific items of the list. How to stop drag n drop feature for only specific items
jQuery.sap.require('sap.ui.thirdparty.jqueryui.jquery-ui-core');
jQuery.sap.require('sap.ui.thirdparty.jqueryui.jquery-ui-widget');
jQuery.sap.require('sap.ui.thirdparty.jqueryui.jquery-ui-mouse');
jQuery.sap.require('sap.ui.thirdparty.jqueryui.jquery-ui-draggable');
jQuery.sap.require('sap.ui.thirdparty.jqueryui.jquery-ui-sortable');
my.clauseRendering = function (oControl) {
//inject control
//debugger;
test = this;
test.oControl = oControl;
};
my.clauseRendering.prototype = {
onAfterRendering: function () {
$("#clauseList-listUl").addClass('ui-sortable');
$("#clauseList-listUl").sortable({
//connectWith : ".ui-sortable"
cancel: '',
start: function(event, ui) {
debugger;
ui.item.startPos = ui.item.index();
},
// sync the model after reordering in the box
stop: function(event, ui) {
//debugger;
----
}
}).disableSelection();
}
var ClauseList=sap.ui.getCore().byId("clauseList");
ClauseList.addDelegate(new my.clauseRendering(ClauseList));
here the html view for the list is like the list will take tag with class "ui-sortable" so that all the items in the list are draggable . Now I need to stop drag and drop for specific items in that list.
You can initialize the sortable with the cancel option:
$(".ui-sortable").sortable(
{ cancel: ".non-draggable" }
);
Or you can set it later:
$( ".ui-sortable" ).sortable( "option", "cancel", ".non-draggable" );
Of course instead of the "non-draggable" class you can use any selector
$( "#sortable1" ).sortable({
items: "li:not(.ui-state-disabled)"
});

jQuery droppable zone in droppable zone

I have a droppable unordered list named <ul class="droppable">. Inside the unordered list I have dynamicly generated list items named <li class="placeholder"></li>, which are also droppable.
When dropping a draggable item between a placeholder, all works fine. But when dropping a draggable item on the <li class="placeholder"></li> itself, the draggable item gets appended to the placeholder and the unordered list.
So I get a double clone of it.
Here's a jsfiddle to have a visual example. I'm aware that it is logical that I get a double clone on my page, but I don't know how to disable it...
Any help is greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: If you drag a draggable item verticaly over a droppable element, they append automatically? How is that possible?
One approach you could try to solve this would be to move all your behaviors to your sortable and use droppable only to make a switch to determine the behavior you need. That way, you can handle everything at one place, which should resolve some of the unwanted effects of having both sortable and droppable on the same elements. Like this:
In your droppable you set the switch on over and out, and set the objects you need.
$("li.placeholder").droppable({
accept: "li.to-drag",
hoverClass: "correct",
activeClass: "active",
revert: false,
tolerance: "pointer",
over: function (e, ui) {
curDrag = ui.draggable;
curTarget = e.target;
curThis = $(this);
overSortable = true;
},
out: function (e, ui) {
overSortable = false;
},
drop: function (event, ui) {
}
});
Then, in beforeStop event of sortable, you check if the variable overSortable is true or not and set the behaviors there. All that refers to ui.draggable, this, and event.target will need to be replaced by the objects you set in droppable. An event better way would be to make a function handling all these behaviors and pass these as arguments.
beforeStop: function (e, ui) {
if (overSortable) {
curDrag.addClass('placeholder');
var dragging = curDrag.find("img").remove();
curThis.append(dragging).addClass("dropped");
curThis.droppable('disable');
var day = curDrag.attr('data-id');
var index = $(curTarget).index();
//...
} else {
ui.item.addClass('placeholder')
}
There are still adjusments to make, it's not completely clear what exactly should happen and when, but this can make it easier to work instead of trying to manage multiple events being fired when you drop an element, you only manage one.
http://jsfiddle.net/ts290vth/4/
Managed to get it working for you:
function dropping () {
$("li.placeholder").droppable({
accept: "li.to-drag",
hoverClass: "correct",
activeClass: "active",
revert: false,
tolerance: "pointer",
drop: function (event, ui) {
var dragging = ui.draggable.find("img");
$(this).append(dragging).addClass("dropped");
$(this).droppable('disable');
var day = $(ui.draggable).attr('data-id');
var index = $(event.target).index();
$(this).attr("data-id", day);
$(this).attr("date-order", index);
$(this).addClass("drop-"+ index);
$(this).attr("data-content", "");
NOTICE: the var dragging = ui.draggable.find("img"); this line was making you duplicated copies at drag and drop so you just had to remove the clone();.
it created clones of your dragged items at dest.
Now Notice this:
$("#dropzone").droppable({
accept: "li.to-drag",
revert: false,
tolerance: "pointer",
drop: function (event, ui) {
$(this).append(dragging);
//$("li.to-drag").addClass("placeholder");
$(this).droppable('disable');
}
});
}
Something with the placeholder class is causing you troubles.
Hope this helps.

jQuery sortable tables get squeezed when row positions swapped

I have ui-sortable table implemented with jquery-ui. The rows can be dragged to swap positions. All works fine, but when the row is dragged, all the remaining rows in a table get squeezed to 1/5 size (columns overlapping).
here's the code that invokes the sortable script on the table:
$(document).ready(function () {
var fixHelper = function (e, ui) {
ui.children().each(function () {
$(this).width($(this).width());
});
return ui;
};
$("tbody.sortable").sortable({
helper: fixHelper,
connectWith: "tbody.sortable",
containment: "parent",
dropOnEmpty: true,
cancel: "tr.sort-disabled",
receive: function (event, ui) {
ui.item.find("input[type='hidden']").val(this.id);
sortableDummyRowsUpdate();
}
});
});
When the dragged row is released to the new position, the table returns to normal. But while dragging everything looks awful

jQuery getting id of the element which is sortable

I got some div's which are sortable etc.. But they got all the same classes, so if I drag one, all the contents of the div's are hiding. I want to get 'id' of the div i'm dragging, and put it into hide and show function.
It should be like this..
jQuery code:
$("#column-right").sortable({
connectWith: ".sort",
handle: ".title",
placeholder: "salih",
cursor: 'move',
revert: 'invalid',
start: function() {
.click(function() { // I know it is wrong but it should be like this
var id = $(this).attr('id')
}
$('id').hide();
},
stop: function() {
.click(function() { // same
var id = $(this).attr('id')
}
$('id').show();
}
});
EDIT: Example my problem: fiddle
Please let me know if this is something you were looking for:
JavaScript Code
$("#column-left, #column-middle, #column-right").sortable({
connectWith: ".sort",
handle: ".title",
placeholder: "salih",
cursor: 'move',
revert: 'invalid',
start: function() {
$(this).find('.contents').hide();
},
stop: function() {
$(this).find('.contents').show();
}
});
$(".sort").disableSelection();
In general, $(this).find('.contents') will be exactly the child element (content) which you are dragging.
Also, I have merged your 3 identical methods into 1 avoiding duplicates and any mess in the code.
