I have met an interesting image gallery transition surfing the web several times and now I'm interested in how such an elegant solution has been made.
Gallery can be found here: http://nullstuff.com/nullfolio/#/portfolio
The desired effect takes place when toggling between 'Everything' and 'Web Design'.
Could it be made purely with CSS?
Based on the app.js source in the page, it's using the jQuery Quicksand plugin.
To create such elegant gallery JQuery can be used.
You can find several JQuery galleries.
Look at this blog, I found http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/web-development/jquery-image-galleries/
I hope it helps.
First of all
It is not possible to add click events in css.
therefore it is javascript
This is known as an image carousel.
I made my own in jquery.
I can give you the source if you want.
Click on the image to see effect and see the url change and press back button.
You will find the previous page loaded with the effect. Moreover the scrollbar(horizontal) hides after poping which i think is made overflow-x:hidden in css.

Also if you have jquery code for this, I hope you post it as answer
thanks
I doubt you'll get the complete jQuery code for another guys hard work on stackoverflow.
But to get you started, here are a few jQuery libraries, that can accomplish this:
fullPage.js
jQuery OnePage Scroll
onePage scroll with animations
I think this one comes closest to what you need:
revealJS
And my favourite (I know, I shouldn't play favourites but it's just too impressive to ignore): impress.js
I have a slight problem with a javascript plugin i have integrated into expression engine (EE). I'm not sure whether its a CSS/HTML problem or something being overwritten in EE. I using the plug jqzoom, which i've managed to integrate fine on my static site However on my EE site click here the secondary image is not displaying (none) and is over lapping the primary. Initial set up of this plugin mean't to work like the following click here - you click on the thumbnail the image changes etc... does anyone know what's causing this problem?
in your first link I saw two images are already in a div with a class clearfix. But in the second one there is only one. I think somehow you messed up with the images in the first one. Try to look in the code where you entered the image source in the website you mentioned in first link
I am new to JavaScript and jQuery. I have to develop a website in which an image gallery with similar effects as in google image search needs to be implemented. I am searching for ready-made scripts to incorporate with my project. Where can I find something like this for free or how would I go about implementing it using JavaScript/jQuery.

This is a pretty specific example, and I would guess most plugins would be more "widgety". If I was creating this I would create the page layout first, wrapping each "page of results" in a single div.
Then when the user clicks "Show More Results" you can use one of jQuery's AJAX methods to load in more "pages" of images.
I assume you have paginate the image search result, you could try by doing:
assign each image in a div tag (e.g
Bind the function by using jquery ".each" and ".hover" function (when mouse-over, enlarge it by set the css's width and height)
There are alot more... I cant type it all...
Hi you can have a look here:

It also links an example test page...
hope it helps
We are developing a social networking project, in this project we are adding content , e.g. images , video, audio, link(html).
Currently we are using shadowbox.js to show it.But for better and effectiveness we want to use some other better plugin, or want to make own window for showing images and link.
Please help , what is the best solution for this project.
I want to know this is the white board quesion means programmer.stackexchange question or stackoverflow quesion?
Thanks
There are 31 here:

You should find one or more that suits your needs.
I would suggest using colorbox.js it can be found here :
http://colorpowered.com/
It is easily styled, comes with a pleathera of options including an image slideshow, can handle iFrames, Ajax content, Images, etc, and comes with a few options for styling to begin with.
Made my own div and use that for displaying content :)
I hope to create a website simple website with:
Left menu with items to click
When each item clicked, right menu is changed with new content. The content is always: title, picture 1, text description, picture 2. Same format for all left menu items.
Ideally I want the page to be just 1 page, without frame or separate .html files. If the item is clicked, jQuery will change the photos on right side with photo url in some array.
Is there an easy way to create this with existing templates somewhere? Either from internet, Wordpress (without database), Dreamweaver, or Dreamweaver plug-in... I just want to avoid having to do from scratch.
If you imagine this right, it could be just like a help page from MSDN, IBM or Apple Developer website. Just don't want to do each html separately due to potential change in format later.
Thanks.
Basically, each "page" should be placed in a div that is hidden with css. jQuery can show and hide the divs with a variety of effects.
I have created a simple example for you here:
http://jsfiddle.net/RLdmZ/2/
Whilst the exact specifications you require may not exist already, there are other options in jQuery.
Notably, a search for a 'jQuery gallery' returns many options varying in design, implementation and complexity.
Have a look for yourself!
I hope this answer solves your question.
It's my first answer, so go easy! :]
