I am creating a website and an App with Phonegap, I'm new in programming for mobile platforms, this site has a database and want this bunch of data is directly available in the App, but do not want to access the database remotely, then how can I do to send a request to the PHP site and it returns me a result to be displayed in the App using JS? How can I make PHP and JS? And is to make a "cache" in the App DB, make a copy on a daily basis, or when updating the DB?
ok well it depends how your site is setup. JS by default is client side, however you can do things like
document.getElementById('myiframe').src='phpscript.php';
thus refreshing the script inside of the frame, the script would pull the data from your database.
otherwise look into AJAX

I need to run my R-code through a website, with the user giving feature values from the website itself, which I have to use as new data for prediction in the R-code. How can I do it?
Have a form on the website which performs an HTML post to a REST api on your web server which will write the information to a database such as MySql, Postgres, MongoDB, or any other database of your choice. Then use a DBMS database management system (DBMS) such as MySQL Workbench, pgAdmin, or Robomongo to query the database and put the data into a csv file, and run your R-code on it. Then use the parameters from your machine-learning model on your server to serve content.
You can expose any R code as a REST API using packages such as plumber, OpenCPU or RestServ. Such an API can then be integrated into the website using Jacascript.
I am working on a Web Application developed & hosted on Domino R9 Server (Non Xpages Web Application). Each form has WebQueryOpen and WebQuerySave events implemented for the server side business logic. Problem is that on every page, when the page refreshes from the browser, application's home page/form is loaded. I want to maintain the state of a page in this application.
Moreover, is there any possibility of implementing an Ajax based session handling (backend) in case the page was idle for sometime and session expired. For example if a user was writing something in the Web Editor (implemented in CKEditor latest version) and if his session is automatically dropped he should be able to start with least hassle and his already written stuff may not be lost.
My suggestion is to not use WebQueryOpen and WebQuerySave. Instead write the application to use modern web technologies (Ajax, JSON, REST API), then you don't need to save and reopen the page all the time. Doing that will give you everything you want.
I would build the page using standard HTML and Javascript (or even jQuery), then make Ajax calls to agents on the server to read/write data.
I have given several presentations on exactly this, with plenty of code samples and even finished code to download:

You can save the contents from all fields and CKEditor in a JSON string and also the UNID (or any "primary key") to the current entity (=page).
Afterwards, you can send this string to the server using AJAX, or as an alternative...
... have you tried using HTML5 local storage? See this page:

My goal is to create a real-time chat similar to the Facebook chat, from scratch. I want to store all the messages on a database table (MySQL) and every time a new message is sent by a user, if the receiver is connected then a request will be sent to the receiver's browser and the message will appear on the chat window.
I don't want to have the client to check if a new message for the user was sent, but I want the server to send the request to the client's browser.
I know that this can be achieved using the Comet technique (I saw this stackoverflow question) but I am not able to find a good guide on how to implement this for this certain problem.
I want to use php and javascript and as less extra software or frameworks as possible.
I use WAMPServer and I have Windows.
If you know a good guide or tutorial or can provide any guidelines on how I could achieve what I want, it would be very helpful.
Try use for this CppComet open source comet server. There have api for php and other languages.
And viwe this chat example or this
You can also use Node.JS with PHP. Creating a Real-Time Chat App with PHP and Node.js
I have already developed an application which is not completely Real-time messaging system, but it works like realtime. Built using without any external new frameworks/API, just used known and familiar skills to develop this using: Ajax jquery, PHP, Mysql, Javascript.
Logic used is:
All messages will be stored in database,
When you load page all messages will be loaded from database.
When you get new messages after reloading, the new messages has to be
loaded/displayed without reloading whole page again right? This is done
using javaScript and ajax jquery. I have set time out for EVERY 0.5 seconds
to reload only new messages and display them.
In my code, At first when the page loads all messages will be loaded in div
tags each, Later whenever new message gets into db it will displayed into new
div tags. its Simple and works without any external API.
To refresh new messages and throw them in to div tags .load() from ajax jquery is used,
to refresh every 0.5secs Javascript is used to set timeout.
I don't know what your exact question is but Websockets is the answer!
https://github.com/crossbario/autobahn-js
https://github.com/voryx/Thruway
(FYI, when you see WAMP in the context of websockets they're talking about something that's not windows/apache/mysql/php)
Unfortunately you can't make a real time application with PHP it self you can use a framework like Laravel in PHP and use packages like laravel-websockets and create a realtime application. laravel-websockets is really useful for creating a realtime application. laravel and the laravel websokcets with any front end you can do this

You can easy create anything with it just try to understand the fundamental concept of websokcets .
I am writing a web application in AngularJS with the server code written in Java. The client code talks to server via HTTP API. The web application is mainly to show statistics and basically contain graphs.
The web page contains fields like from-date, to-date and the name of the country for which the statistics are to be shown. So after selecting a few graphs ( say I have a dashboard of 5 - 10 graphs ), the web page provides an option to save the web page's state, so that, I can open the page with the same graphs still being shown. i.e., I need not have to select the name, date, etc. again to have the dashboard of graphs.
I can easily contain the from date, to date and name in Angular models. But to save the page and reopen again, I need to persist the model data into some storage media and upon reopen, I need to read from the storage media and populate the Angular model, right?
How can I do this? Should I go with some frameworks, like django, etc. where I have a separate database server such as sqlite running? But I don't want such a complicated work. I need to have the simple client side coding ( HTML + JS ) and keep it neat.
Is there a solution for this?
Angular is a client side framework. In order to persist or retrieve data you'll have to use a server-side data base. Talk to it via a RESTful interface using $resource or $http.
In the application I am writing, a user captures information about a person via an online form. When they have completed the form they save their work, repeating this process several times in a session. When they hit 'Save and End Session' they are returned a list of the several person instances they have just saved, all data being saved to a server.
I wish to replicate this functionality in an offline app. Using HTML5 I understand how to cache pages, and how store the JSON form data in localStorage using raw Javascript (or perhaps Angular.js cache).
But is it possible to dynamically update cached webpages with cached data while offline? how, for example, can I write the the cached form data to a cached copy of the list page, updating that page with the data just produced, all during the offline session?
I cannot find an answer to this one. All suggestions are much appreciated!
If I understood this correctly, you want to dynamically update the html view while offline.
If you are using Angular, this is pretty simple.
You just have to cache also the JS controller, not only the html file (set it in the cache.manifest). The page will have the same functionality as the online app then. But if you want to send the stored offline data back to the server when offline, you can write a simple code that will:
Save the parameter in localStorage, which will mark if the data was saved while running online/offline app (you can recognize onine/offline by sending AJAX request to an existing part of the app, which is not available offline (so not cached one))
When app runs then in online mode, it will collect all the data stored offline and send it to the server
