I am trying to load a specific sibling for each div using fancybox.
E.g:
<div id ="content">
<div class="item1">
<div class="pop-ups"><span>click</span></div>
<div class="hidden"><span>content for item 1</span></div>
</div>
<div class="item2">
<div class="pop-ups"><span>click</span></div>
<div class="hidden"><span>content for item 2</span></div>
</div>
<div class="item3">
<div class="pop-ups"><span>click</span></div>
<div class="hidden"><span>content for item 3</span></div>
</div>
<div class="item4">
<div class="pop-ups"><span>click</span></div>
<div class="hidden"><span>content for item 4</span></div>
</div>
</div>
I tried to do the config using the property Content, but not got it, is it possible to get each hidden for each specific item ?
You can use below code:
$(function(){
$("div.pop-ups span").click(function(){
$.fancybox({ content: $(this).parent().next().html() });
});
});
This will show the content of relevant div in fancybox.
You can call this function to open some specific div content in a fancybox.
function OpenDiv(divIDtoopen) //eg. divIDtoopen= #divID //# is must to be prepended to divID for selection
{
$(document).ready(function ()
{
$.fancybox.open(
{
href: divtoopen
}
);
}
);
}

I’m trying to build an accordion menu and for some reason I can’t get the accordion to function how I want.
Currently when the user clicks on the accordion div, the hidden-textarea div gets added with an active-accordion class wherever it's referenced.
How do I get the active-accordion class to only be added to the current clicked accordion div? Not all of them. I need to be able to toggle between each accordion div that is clicked.
Any help is gladly appreciated.
Thanks!
HTML
<div class="accordion-block">
<div class="container">
<div class="gallery-wrap">
<div class="item-accordion">

CSS

JS
TestJs.HorizontalAccordion.prototype.onResize = function() {
$(window).resize(function() {
if ($(window).width() < 1200) {
$('.accordion').on( "click", function(e) {
e.preventDefault();
e.stopPropagation();
$(".hidden-textarea").addClass("active-accordion");
// $('.hidden-textarea').removeClass("active-accordion");
// $('.hidden-textarea').toggle("active-accordion");
return false;
});
}
if ($(window).width() >= 1200) {
}
});
};
Update: I updated the onclick function and am able to toggle successfully. Now I just need to open 1 accordion not all of them.
Any help is gladly appreciated. Thank you.
$('.horizontalAccordionV1 .accordion').on( "click", function() {
event.preventDefault();
// create accordion variables
var accordion = $('.hidden-textarea');
// toggle accordion link open class
accordion.toggleClass("active-accordion");
// toggle accordion content
accordionContent.slideToggle(250);
});
Problem solved! Added this to my JS click function and removed everything else.
$(this).find('.hidden-textarea').toggleClass('active-accordion');
I have a div which I want to surround with an <a href>. I have the jQuery to add the <a href> after the div but I struggle to set it before and close it after the div.
This is the jQuery code I have:
$('.box_service').each(function() {
var link = $(this).html();
$(this).contents().wrap('');
});
It results in this HTML:
<div class="row">
<div class="box_service">
<a href="example.com">
<div class="inner-row"></div>
</a>
</div>
</div>
However my goal is this structure:
<div class="row">
<a href="example.com">
<div class="box_service">
<div class="inner-row"></div>
</div>
</a>
</div>
I can't enter the div before because there are more boxes in this row so I would add the <a href> to everything in there
The issue is due to your call to contents() which means you're wrapping the elements inside .box_service, not that element itself. Remove that method call.
Also note that each() is redundant, you can do what you require in a single line:
$('.box_service').wrap('');
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="row">
<div class="box_service">
Box service #1
<div class="inner-row">Inner row #1</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="box_service">
Box service #2
<div class="inner-row">Inner row #2</div>
</div>
</div>
.content will wrap the contents of your div, you want to wrap the div with <a> so call wrap on the div not on contents.
$('.box_service').each(function() {
var link = $(this).html();
$(this).wrap('');
});
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="row">
<div class="box_service">
<div class="inner-row"></div>
</div>
</div>
$('.box_service').each(function() {
var link = $(this).html();
$(this).wrap('');
});
You just need to remove contents() in between $(this).wrap() because contents() mean that you are wrapping the children of $(this).
Remove .contents() in order to wrap around each element with the class box-service:
$('.box_service').each(function() {
$(this).wrap('');
});
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="row">
<div class="box_service">
<a href="example.com">
<div class="inner-row"></div>
</a>
</div>
</div>
$('.box_service').wrap('');
This is going to sound a bit vague, but i'll try and be as clear as possible.
I have this section of jquery that animates a slide down box.
$(function() {
$('.toggler').hover(function() {
$(this).find('div').slideToggle();
});
});
I'm just wondering if there is a way to stop when the user wiggles their mouse over and over the box, the box pops up and down then up and down for the amount of times the users mouse has crossed the box.
I hope that's clear.
HTML
<div class ="expandableboxes">
<div class="toggler"> This is the title
<div> This is the content to be toggled </div>
</div>
<div class="toggler"> This is the title
<div> This is the content to be toggled </div>
</div>
<div class="toggler"> This is the title
<div> This is the content to be toggled </div>
</div>
<div class="toggler"> This is the title
<div> This is the content to be toggled </div>
</div>
<div class="toggler"> This is the title
<div> This is the content to be toggled </div>
</div>
</div>
Just use the stop and slideDown functions.
.stop( [clearQueue ] [, jumpToEnd ] )
Description: Stop the currently-running animation on the matched elements.
$(function() {
$('.toggler').hover(function(e) {
if (!$(e.target).hasClass("toggler")) { return; }
$(this).find('div').stop().slideDown(1000, "easeOutBounce");
});
});
.toggler > div { display: none; }
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/ui/jquery-ui-git.js"></script>
<div class="expandableboxes">
<div class="toggler">This is the title
<div>This is the content to be toggled</div>
</div>
<div class="toggler">This is the title
<div>This is the content to be toggled</div>
</div>
<div class="toggler">This is the title
<div>This is the content to be toggled</div>
</div>
<div class="toggler">This is the title
<div>This is the content to be toggled</div>
</div>
<div class="toggler">This is the title
<div>This is the content to be toggled</div>
</div>
</div>
To avoid frequent pops up and down use mouseenter
$(function() {
$('.toggler'). mouseenter(function() {
$(this).find('div').slideToggle();
});
});
See the demo here

This code works how i want it to. It is a horizontal accordion. However, when it is loaded on my webpage, they content divs have to be hidden for my jquery to work.
Jquery:
$(document).ready(function() {
// When div is clicked, hidden content divs will slide out
$('div.accordionButton').click(function() {
$('div.accordionContent').slideUp('normal');
$(this).next().slideDown('normal');
});
// Close all divs on load page
$("div.accordionContent").hide();
});
If i don't hide the divs, all the divs display. Is there any way to display the 1st page without changing too much of my jquery or would i have to set different class names for the button and the content so that when a specified button is clicked, the affiliated content will slide out for that button div?
You can use jquery selector for first div and set it as show(). Something like :
$('div.accordionContent:first').show();
I think you have to try this:-
<script type="text/javascript">
$.fn.accordion = function(settings) {
accordion = $(this);
}
$(document).ready(function($) {
$('div.accordionContent').click(function() {
if($(this).next().is(":visible")) {
$(this).next().slideDown();
}
$('div.accordionContent').filter(':visible').slideUp();
$(this).next().slideDown();
return false;
});
});
</script>
Why not use slideToggle() instead of IF statements....
Try this very simple solution
HTML
<div class="accordion-container">
<div class="accordion-content">
<div class="accordion-title">Title</div>
<div class="accordion-toggle">Toggle content</div>
</div>
<div class="accordion-content">
<div class="accordion-title">Title</div>
<div class="accordion-toggle">Toggle content</div>
</div>
<div class="accordion-content">
<div class="accordion-title">Title</div>
<div class="accordion-toggle">Toggle content</div>
</div>
</div>
jQuery
$('.accordion-content .accordion-title').on('click', function(){
$(this).toggleClass('active');
$('.accordion-title').not($(this)).removeClass('active');
$(this).next().slideToggle();
$(".accordion-toggle").not($(this).next()).slideUp();
});
Ive made a fiddle of my problem here.
http://jsfiddle.net/E9cUS/1/
JavaScript:
$('.top').click(function () {
var thisPage = $(this).closest('.yesNoItem');
$('.yesNoTick').stop().animate({"opacity" : 1},400, function () {
thisPage.find('.no .top').stop().animate({"opacity" : 0},400, function () {
$(this).css("display", "none");
});
});
});
$('.yesNoNext').click(function () {
$(this).closest('.yesNoItem').stop().animate({"opacity" : 0},400, function () {
//This isnt working? Please advise?
$(this).next('.yesNoItem').stop().animate({"opacity" : 1},400);
});
});
HTML:
<div id="stage">
<div class="yesNoOuter">
<div class="yesNoItem" style="opacity:1;">
<div class="yesNoContainer yes">
<div class="top">
<div class="yesNoTick"></div>
</div>
<div class="bottom">
</div>
</div>
<div class="yesNoContainer no">
<div class="top">
<div class="yesNoTick"></div>
</div>
<div class="bottom">
<p>Text 1</p>
<div class="yesNoNext">More</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="yesNoItem">
<div class="yesNoContainer yes">
<div class="top">
<div class="yesNoTick"></div>
</div>
<div class="bottom">
</div>
</div>
<div class="yesNoContainer no">
<div class="top">
<div class="yesNoTick"></div>
</div>
<div class="bottom">
<p>Text 2</p>
<div class="yesNoNext">More</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
I've also put the line of code thats not working.
Bascially it is hiding the element that I want, but not fading the next one in...
Can any one advise based upon my code? Many thanks!
You had an error in your markup
<div class="yesNoNext">More</span>
if you correct that, next() works http://jsfiddle.net/E9cUS/2/
I think your HTML got messed up. The second .yesNoItem element is not a sibling but a child of the first .yesNoItem element (right click -> inspect element).
Probably because of <div class="yesNoNext">More</span> (opening div, closing span). The browser will attempt to correct this automatically and just ignore the closing span tag (at least this seems to be the case if you inspect the DOM).
If you correct your HTML it should work (at least it should select the right element).
If they are actually supposed to be nested, then .next() is the wrong method anyways.
