Expand Accordion tab automatically in spry - javascript

This is my Accordion, How can I expand "systemAccordion" automatically when its parent Configuration is expanded
<div spry:region="mainData">
<div class="Accordion" id="mainAccordion" tabindex="0">
<div class="AccordionPanel"><!-- <img align="left" src="/csm/include/images/healthicon.gif"> -->
<div class="AccordionPanelTab"> <a onClick="showHealthCheckSpan();"><img align="left" src="/csm/include/images/healthicon.gif">Health Check</a></div>

<div class="AccordionPanelTab"> <a onClick="showSystemSpan();"><img align="left" src="/csm/include/images/conficon.gif">Configuration</a></div>
<div class="AccordionPanelContent">
<div class="Accordion" id="systemAccordion" tabindex="1">
<div class="AccordionPanel">
<div class="AccordionPanelTab"> <a onClick="showSystemSpan();">System</a></div>
<div class="AccordionPanelContent">
<a onClick="showKernelParamSpan();">Kernel Parameters</a><br/>
<a onClick="showDiskSpan();">Disk Usage</a><br/>
</div>
</div>
<div class="AccordionPanel">
<div class="AccordionPanelTab"> {mainData::#product}</div>
<div class="AccordionPanelContent">

<span id='selectbitmode'><a onClick="showBitmodeSpan();">Bitmode</a></span><br/>
<br/>
</div>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var sysAcc = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("systemAccordion", {defaultPanel: -1, useFixedPanelHeights: false });
</script>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var mainAcc = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("mainAccordion",{ defaultPanel: -1, useFixedPanelHeights: false });
</script>
</div>
</div>

Got the answer, When we define the accordion we have a choice like below
<script type="text/javascript">
var sysAcc = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("systemAccordion", {defaultPanel: 0, useFixedPanelHeights: false });
</script>
Solved my problem.

How do I select data from element with onclick listener?

I'm currently working on a web application that has to function as some sort of webshop later on. I'm now working on an addToCart function, that has to pick certain data from the clicked element (the name and the price of the product, and add 1 to pcs and save everything to a session), and paste these 2 values into a template I've made and place this in the shopCart. I'm now trying to print out the 2 values I've just mentioned, but I'm stuck now.
This is the current javascript code I've made for loading in all the products, and my attempt on showing some of the values of the clicked items:
$(function(){
$.getJSON("assets/products/sample_products.json", function(response) {
$.each(response.data, function (i, el) {
let card = $($('#productCard-template').html());
card.find('#cardName').html( el.name);
card.find('#cardPrice').html( '€' + el.price );
card.find('.productItem').attr('data-price', el.price)
.attr('data-article-number', el.article_number)
.attr('data-id', el.id)
.attr('data-name', el.name)
.attr('data-stock', el.stock)
.attr('data-categories', el.categories);
$('#touchViewProducts').append(card);
});
});
});
//onclick function adds data of product to the designated template
function addToCart(){
var value = document.getElementById("productCard").value;
var getDataVal = document.getElementById('productCard-template').getAttribute('data-name', 'data-price');
var total = 0;
console.log(this.data-name)
}
This is the html code of the templates:

Here's an image of what the web app looks like, I hope that could make it more clear.
Because addToCart() is a callback, you can use this to access its context (the caller element):
function addToCart(){
var value = $(this).val(); // what val you want to refer? there are no input in the template
var getDataVal = $(this).find('.productItem').getAttribute('data-name', 'data-price');
var total = 0;
console.log(this.data-name)
}

Get the content of childNodes

I have a HTML structure like below. I need to get the header content and description content.
<div id="results">
<div class="ui list">
<div class="item">
<div class="content">
<a class="header" onclick=" toMaker(event, 967)">Mahachai Holding</a>
<div class="description">Lat Phrao, Bangkok, 10230</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
I have used following code
$('#results > .ui.list')[0].childNodes[0].childNodes[1].innerHTML
to get the string like
"<a class="header" onclick=" toMaker(event, 967)">MahachaiHolding</a><div class="description">Lat Phrao, Bangkok, 10230</div>"
But now I am confused about how to get header name and description name?
You need to find the .html() of the .header and .description
const $content = $("#results .ui.list .item .content");
console.log($content.find(".header").html());
console.log($content.find(".description").html());
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div id="results">
<div class="ui list">
<div class="item">
<div class="content">
<a class="header" onclick=" toMaker(event, 967)">Mahachai Holding</a>
<div class="description">Lat Phrao, Bangkok, 10230</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
$('#results > .ui.list')[0].childNodes[0].childNodes[1].innerHTML
$('#results > .ui.list').find('.header') //will get you header element
$('#results > .ui.list').find('.description') //will get you description element
is this what you mean?
https://api.jquery.com/find/
refrence url
Try this...
The output will give only the text of the element not the inner html
/// Get the header text
console.log($('#results .ui.list a.header').text());
/// Get the description text
console.log($('#results .ui.list div.description').text());
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div id="results">
<div class="ui list">

<div class="description">Lat Phrao, Bangkok, 10230</div>

Hide parent div class if child div class does not have content when there are multiple parent divs with the same class name

I have a slider where some of the images in the slider can have an optional photo- credit containing text or link in a popper. I would like to iterate over all of the popper instances and if all of the p tags in the .photo-credit p class are empty, then hide only that instance of the parent popper. I've tried to piece together a solution from some other posts, but have not been able to get it to work. The code I have does not hide a popper if all p tags are empty for that popper. I'm a JavaScript newbie and would appreciate any help.

<img src="http://www.someurl.com/images/icons/icon-chevron-right-slider.svg">
<p class="slider-pagination"></p>
</div>
JavaScript
$('.popper').each(function () {
//var $thisPopper = $(this);
var hasContent = 0;
$('.photo-credit p').each(function () {
if($(this).html().length > 0) {
hasContent++;
}
});
if(hasContent > 0){
//$thisPopper.hide();
$(this).hide();
}
});
You were on the right direction. However a couple mistakes in your javascript.
You tried to target all the div with "popper" class. However, the div with "popper" and "photo-credit" are on the same level. Why not targeting their parent div instead?
Try this code. It's been tested (Link to jsfiddle)
$('.slider-item').each(function () {
var thisSilerItem = $(this);
var hasContent = 0;
thisSilerItem.find('.photo-credit p').each(function () {
if($(this).html().length > 0) {
hasContent++;
}
});
if(hasContent <= 0){
thisSilerItem.find('.popper').hide();
}
});
Edit:
Bonus:
If your page has a large amount of sliders, this jquery solution will cause some UX issues ("jumpy" div on/after page load)
Try a CSS only solution.
When you render your DOM elements. Add a class to "popper" div if the content of "photo-credit" is empty.
<div class="popper hide">
// img
</div>
Then in your CSS, add
.popper.hide { display: none; }
It's hard to fully gather what you want to do, but if I understand correctly...
$('.popper').each(function () {
var photoCredit = $(this).find(".photo-credit p")
if ( $(photoCredit).is(':empty') ){
$(this).hide();
}
});
It's worth pointing out that CSS4 developers are working on a 'has' selector but as of July 2017 there is no support for any browser just yet.
It is expected to work in the following manner:
.popper:has(> p:empty) { display: none }
I hope this helps... :)
You can check this code.
$.each($('.popper'), function (index, popper) {
var isEmptry = true;
$.each($(popper).next('.photo-credit').children(), function (index, ptag) {
if ($.trim($(ptag).html()) != '')
isEmptry = false;
});
if (isEmptry)
$(popper).hide();
});
Working code
$.each($('.popper'), function (index, popper) {
var isEmptry = true;
$.each($(popper).next('.photo-credit').children(), function (index, ptag) {
if ($.trim($(ptag).html()) != '')
isEmptry = false;
});
if (isEmptry)
$(popper).hide();
});

Expand / Show and hide div element in a listview

As you can see, is this a list view and my mission is when you click on an element / div then the div with the images expand / show. Now that is easy, even for a backend developer, but I would like to:
1. when I click again on the same element, then the element will hide.
2. When I click on another element, then the element that is already expand will hide and the other element that I click on, will expand / show.
I need Script and CSS for this please.
<div class="row">
#foreach(var post in CurrentPage.Children)
{
<div class="col-md-12">
<div class="content equal" onclick="showhide()">

<h2>#post.Name</h2>
<p>#Umbraco.Truncate(post.Introduction, 240, true)</p>
</a>
</div>
<div class="images(-expand)">
<img src="#post.Image" />
</div>
</div>
}
</div>
Try as follows.
$('.content.equal').click(function() {
$('.content.equal').not(this).next().slideUp();
$(this).next().slideToggle();
});
$('.content.equal a').click(function(event) {
event.preventDefault();

Ember Data isn't seeing my local store

Full Disclosure: I am new to Ember.
I have an app that I have started where when the user clicks on the next button, they create an instance of the customer model and that model is saved to local storage. On the next page, I want both the first and last name to pre-populate the text inputs. I have tried to follow the intro video but I have run into a problem. It appears that I am creating the object and then storing it successfully in local storage, but when the user transitions to the next page, the model can't be found. Here is my code:

adapter: DS.LSAdapter.extend()
});
App.Router.map(function() {
// put your routes here
this.route("customer", { path: "/customer" });
this.route("wsnum", {path: "/wsnum"});
});
App.IndexRoute = Ember.Route.extend({
});
App.IndexController = Ember.Controller.extend({
create: function(){
var customer = App.Customer.createRecord({
first:"ron",
last:"testing"
});
console.log('Before the save');
customer.save();
console.log(customer.get('first'));
this.transitionToRoute('customer');
}
});
App.CustomerRoute = Ember.Route.extend({
model: function() {
var customer = App.Customer.find();
console.log(customer.get('first'));
return customer;
}
});
App.WsnumRoute = Ember.Route.extend({
});
var attr = DS.attr;
App.Customer = DS.Model.extend({
first: attr('string'),
last: attr('string')
});
Here is a working example. Any ideas?
In App.CustomerRoute.model(), this line:
var customer = App.Customer.find();
sets the customer variable is being set to result of find(). find() returns an array of all customer records. So when you call get('first') on the array it is undefined, since the array of customers does not have a property first.
Also, the route
this.route("customer", { path: "/customer" });
should probably be:
this.route("customer", { path: "/customer/:customer_id" });
since it seems to be for displaying one customer not a list of them.
With that change, CustomerRoute is not really needed at all. So app looks like:
App = Ember.Application.create();
App.store = DS.Store.create({
revision: 12,
adapter: DS.LSAdapter.extend()
});
App.Router.map(function() {
this.route("customer", { path: "/customer/:customer_id" });
this.route("wsnum", {path: "/wsnum"});
});
App.IndexController = Ember.Controller.extend({
create: function(){
var controller = this;
var customer = App.Customer.createRecord({
first:"ron",
last:"harmon"
});
customer.save().then(function() {
controller.transitionTo('customer', customer);
});
}
});
var attr = DS.attr;
App.Customer = DS.Model.extend({
first: attr('string'),
last: attr('string')
});
