In Play Framework, it's usually have main.html with code like:
<html>
<head>
<title>#{get 'title' /}</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen"
href="#{'/public/stylesheets/main.css'}" />
<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/png"
href="#{'/public/images/favicon.png'}" />
</head>
<body>
#{doLayout /}
</body>
</html>
So when I have a view such as index.html, it's usually start with
#{extends 'main.html' /}
And the index.html only contain the body part ( #{doLayout /} in main.html ).
I want to add javascript depend on page loaded (in page coffee.html I want to load water.js for example). Now I have to add it in main.html and loaded it all over the application.
1/ How can it be loaded from extended view (index.html)?
2/ In addition, how can I get the baseUrl value (like Zend framework) to pass to javascript variable?
You can do this with set and get tags.
If your main.html is like this
<title>#{get 'title' /}</title>
#{get 'moreScripts' /}
Then in your different views you can set different JS. For example, index.html may have no JS, but coffee.html will have
#{set 'moreScripts'}
<script src="#{'/public/javascripts/yourscript.js'}" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
#{/set}

I am a first grade CS student in university.After learning some of the basics of React.js. I am trying to understand a resume project. Can anyone tell me why the app.js and index.js are empty here. I wonder how the styling is accomplished...I spotted classname attributs inside jsx elements of the components but i can't find related css file in the src folder, could it be inside public folder then? Besides answering me questions, feel free to point out what kind of React topics/techniques I need to learn about in order to understand better how the styling works here.
The project repository by nordicgiant2: https://github.com/nordicgiant2/react-nice-resume
I have checked topic like how the styling working for component in React.js and the direct anwser haven't been found.
The styling turns to be inside the public folder, and when check the index.html file inside the public folder I realize the link tag points toward to the css file inside the public folder. My original assumption was that, the styling sheet should be place inside the src folder as the TUTORIAL said.
Below is a snippet of the inde.html of this project which reveal the answer.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, shrink-to-fit=no">
<meta name="theme-color" content="#000000">

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/favicon.ico">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/css/default.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/css/layout.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/css/media-queries.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/css/magnific-popup.css">

<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js"></script>

So I was trying to simplify my header and somehow now my local jquery file doesn't load anymore. Other js files load fine but not jquery (i checked with Chrome's DevTools source section).
So I made a test file with a header stripped of most useless things to show you :
<html class="no-js" lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
<title>Non-Conformité</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheets/app.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" scr="../bower_components/modernizr/modernizr.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" scr="http://{InternalCompanyServer}/nonConforme/bower_components/jquery/dist/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" scr="bower_components/jquery/dist/jquery.js"></script>
<script scr="js/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="bower_components/foundation/js/foundation.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="row topMargin" header>
<img class='small-3 columns logo hide-on-print' src="img/logo-fr.png"/>
<h2 class='small-9 columns' >Formulaire Non-Conformité</h2>
</div>
<div class="row"></div>
</body>
As you can see I tried multiple ways to write the link : Absolute then Relative, I even copied the jquery file to the js folder and tried to link it but no luck.
The foundation.js file just after it loads fine but it gives the : "foundation.js:703 Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined(…)" Error. Comment if you need more info I didn't think of putting here.
you put scr forjQuery url instead of src ;)

Go to direct input, paste you html... and let' go : Line 7, Column 40: there is no attribute "SCR"
I'm working with libgdx 1.9.2 and gwt 2.6.1.
After the GWT-compilation of my java app, I get a JS script (html.nocache.js) that I can include in my html page, and visualisate in a web browser (inside a div, here it's "embed-html"). That part is working nicely.
Here's the code:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>my-gdx-game</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<script type="text/javascript" src="html/html.nocache.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="embed-html"></div>
</body>
</html>
My next goal is to use web components, and more precisely custom elements, to have a simple tag <my-app></my-app> in any web page to get my application.
my index.html:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>my-gdx-game</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<script src="webcomponents.js/webcomponents.js"></script>
<link rel="import" href="component.html">
</head>
<body>
<my-app></my-app>
</body>
</html>
my component.html:
<template id="template">
<div id="embed-html"></div>
<link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
</template>
<script>
var helloDoc = document._currentScript.ownerDocument;
var myApp = document.registerElement('my-app', {
prototype: Object.create(HTMLElement.prototype, {
createdCallback: {
value: function() {
var root = this.createShadowRoot();
var template = helloDoc.querySelector('#template');
var clone = document.importNode(template.content, true);
root.appendChild(clone);
}
}
})
});
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="html/html.nocache.js"></script>
But the JS script generated by GWT-compilation has some document.write(...) inside; so all that is included is my empty div, my style sheet correctly loaded, and warnings: "Warning: A call to document.write() from an asynchronously-loaded external script was ignored". Since it is generated, I don't think I can avoid using these document.write().
If I put the <script type="text/javascript" src="html/html.nocache.js"></script> in the head of index.html (where it was before I tried using webcomponents), the app is not added inside the div, as it should, but under (the div and style sheet are included as expected).
And if I put the script inside the template, nothing happens.
So I am wondering if there is a way to have a GWT application working with web components, or if I should search for another way to easily include my application into external websites.
(If you wonder the reasons why I want to do so, it's because I want clients to be able to add my app easily on their own website, with only an import and a tag, the same way I could import a YouTube video or a Google map.)
this is my code
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>EVENTI</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../CSS/stile.css">
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Squada+One' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> <!--importare google font-->
<script src="../JS/ridimensionapagina.js"></script>
<script src="../JS/jquery-1.11.1.js.js"></script>
</head>
in my "ridimesionapagina.js" i've some JS code that debunk some of my elements declared in my css code , but in this page it doesen't works why?
Well making the assumption that you're using jQuery in your ridimensionapagina.js file, one would assume you'd fix the issue by reversing the order you load the scripts so that jQuery is in fact available when your ridimensionapagina.js script loads and runs.
<script src="../JS/jquery-1.11.1.js.js"></script>
<script src="../JS/ridimensionapagina.js"></script>
instead of
<script src="../JS/ridimensionapagina.js"></script>
<script src="../JS/jquery-1.11.1.js.js"></script>
If you use jQuery in ridimensionapagina.js, you should put .. include jQuery path to above to load jQuery before loading ridimensionapagina.js file
I'm going to use bootstrap to build up my front end. Also I'm using JSP and JSTL
What I've read in some articles over the internet is the proper approach of adding an external javascript file should be written before the body closing tag for more optimization of the page. Now I'm trying to apply this with the bootstrap, what i did is put the css of the bootstrap to an external html file:
import_header.html:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="bootstrap-css/bootstrap.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="bootstrap-css/bootstrap.min.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="bootstrap-css/bootstrap-responsive.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="bootstrap-css/bootstrap-responsive.min.css">
which I imported to the head of the html like this:
<jsp:include page="import_header.html" flush="true" />
Now I want to do the same thing with the js file of the of the bootstrap and the jQuery lib but I don't know what is the proper way of doing this.
that's the recommended way, how to place them:
e.g. footer.html
<!-- Placed at the end of the document so the pages load faster -->
<script src="jquery/jquery-2.0.3.min.js"></script>
<script src="bootstrap/bootstrap-2.3.1.min.js"></script>
<script src="myOwn.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
