Well I have a strange problem while convert from unix timestamp to human representation using javascript
Here is timestamp
1301090400
This is my javascript

getDay() returns the day of the week. To get the date, use date.getDate(). getMonth() retrieves the month, but month is zero based, so using getMonth() + 1 should give you the right month. Time value seems to be ok here, albeit the hour is 23 here (GMT+1). If you want universal values, add UTC to the methods (e.g. date.getUTCFullYear(), date.getUTCHours())

Where unixtime is the time returned by your sql db. Here is a fiddle if it helps.

I was looking for a very specific solution for returning the current time as a guaranteed length string to prepend at the beginning of every log line. Here they are if someone else is looking for the same thing.

Hours, minutes and seconds depend on the time zone of your operating system. In GMT (UST) it's 22:00:00 but in different timezones it can be anything. So add the timezone offset to the time to create the GMT date:

My code is formatted for ES6 modules because I use it as a module for my vuejs project but you can convert it to a normal javascript function.
getFormalDateTime('1998-08-06 11:00:00') the parameter should be in UTC time. This will return a formal date time converted to the client/browser timezone: August 6, 1998 | 11:00 AM
getFormalDate('1998-08-06') will just return August 6, 1998

Add trailing zero in time format in jquery [duplicate]

I've created this script to calculate the date for 10 days in advance in the format of dd/mm/yyyy:

To explain, .slice(-2) gives us the last two characters of the string.
So no matter what, we can add "0" to the day or month, and just ask for the last two since those are always the two we want.
So if the MyDate.getMonth() returns 9, it will be:
("0" + "9") // Giving us "09"
so adding .slice(-2) on that gives us the last two characters which is:
("0" + "9").slice(-2)
"09"
But if MyDate.getMonth() returns 10, it will be:
("0" + "10") // Giving us "010"
so adding .slice(-2) gives us the last two characters, or:
("0" + "10").slice(-2)
"10"
The modern way
The new modern way to do this is to use toLocaleDateString, because it allows you not only to format a date with proper localization, but even to pass format options to achieve the desired result:

When you use undefined as the first argument it will detect the browser language, instead. Alternatively, you can use 2-digit on the year option, too.
Performance
If you plan to format a lot of dates, you should consider using Intl.DateTimeFormat instead:

Unlike in the Temporal constructor years between 0 and 99 will be interpreted as 20th century years on the Date constructor. To prevent this, initialize the date like so:

This is not required for Temporal objects, but years below 1000 will not contain leading zeros in all cases, because the formatter (that is shared for the Date and Temporal API) does not support 4-digit formatting at all. In this case you have to do manual formatting (see below).
For the ISO 8601 format
If you want to get your date in the YYYY-MM-DD format (ISO 8601), the solution looks different:

Your input date should be in the UTC format or toISOString() will fix that for you. This is done by using Date.UTC as shown above.
Historical dates for the ISO 8601 format
Unlike in the Temporal constructor years between 0 and 99 will be interpreted as 20th century years on the Date constructor. To prevent this, initialize the date like so to be used for the ISO 8601 format:

Note that the ISO format for Temporal objects with dates before the year 1000 or after the year 9999 will have a different formatting compared to the legacy Date API. It is recommend to fallback to custom formatting to enforce 4 digit years in all circumstances.
Custom 4-digit formatting on the year
Sadly, the formatter doesn't support leading zeros on the year. There is no 4-digit option. This will remain for Temporal objects as well, because they do share the same formatter.
Fortunately, the ISO format of the Date API will always display at least 4 digits on the year, although Temporal objects do not. So at least for the Date API you can format historical dates before the year 1000 with leading zeros by falling back to a manual formatting approach using part of the ISO 8601 format method:

Miscellaneous
For the Date and Temporal API there is also toLocaleTimeString, that allows you to localize and format the time of a date.
Here is an example from the Date object docs on the Mozilla Developer Network using a custom "pad" function, without having to extend Javascript's Number prototype. The handy function they give as an example is

You could use ternary operator to format the date like an "if" statement.
For example:

So
(MyDate.getDate() < 10 ? '0' + MyDate.getDate() : MyDate.getDate())
would be similar to an if statement, where if the getDate() returns a value less than 10, then return a '0' + the Date, or else return the date if greater than 10 (since we do not need to add the leading 0). Same for the month.
Edit:
Forgot that getMonth starts with 0, so added the +1 to account for it. Of course you could also just say d.getMonth() < 9 :, but I figured using the +1 would help make it easier to understand.

The following aims to extract configuration, hook into Date.protoype and apply configuration.
I've used an Array to store time chunks and when I push() this as a Date object, it returns me the length to iterate. When I'm done, I can use join on the return value.

You can use String.slice() which extracts a section of a string and returns it as a new string, without modifying the original string:

Getting the start of the day in a different timezone

I have a Date. It is in the local timezone. I want a new Date that is at the beginning of the dayin a different timezone. Here are some things I do not want:
A Date in UTC equivalent to the first date converted to UTC
A string
Specifically, UTC does not work because getting the start of a day in UTC is not the same as getting the start of the day in a timezone.
So If I have a date in Calcutta and want to get the start of that day in San Francisco, the date in Calcutta and the date in Greenwich might not be the same date. It could be June 15th in Calcutta, June 15th in Greenwich, but June 2nd in San Francisco. So calling setMinutes(0) etc on a date that is set to UTC will not work.
I am also using date-fns (not moment) if that's helpful, but it doesn't seem to be because all dates (including those in date-fns-tz) are returned in either local or UTC time.)
Is this possible in Javascript or am I insane?

That is about converting to strings. I do not want strings.
One way is to:
Get the current timezone offset at the required location
Create a date for the required UTC date
Apply the offset from #1

How to get a specify date in every month in Javascript?

I need to find this month, previous month and the next month of a specific date.
For example, date was set to 31 of every month, what I expect to get the date is
2018-02-28, 2018-03-31 and 2018-04-30. For those dates which has no 31, than it becomes the day before.
And finally generate 2 period, 2018-02-28 to 2018-03-29, 2018-03-30 to 2018-04-31.
I don't know how to handle feb and the month which less than 31.

I think you're going to need an array with 12 numbers in it. Each number is the amount of days in each month and the numbers in the array go in order (first number is 31 because January has 31 days, second is 28 or 29 for Feb), etc. Then you'll get the month number from your input date and look in the array at the number corresponding to the month number +/- 1.
You'll then need to construct a date for the previous month and the next month based on the number of days in the current month.

There is a slight problem with the Javascript Date() Object when trying to advance to the next month or go back to the previous month.
For example, if your date is set to October 31, 2018 and you add one month, you'd probably expect the new date to be November 30, 2018 because November 31st doesn't exist. This, however, isn't the case.
Javascript automatically advances your Date object to December 1st. This functionality is very useful in most situations(i.e. adding days to a date, determining the number of days in a month or if it's a leap year), but not for adding/subtracting months. I've put together some functions below that extend the Date() object: nextMonth() and prevMonth().

I've created this script to calculate the date for 10 days in advance in the format of dd/mm/yyyy:

The new modern way to do this is to use toLocaleDateString, because it allows you not only to format a date with proper localization, but even to pass format options to achieve the desired result:

This is not required for Temporal objects, but years below 1000 will not contain leading zeros in all cases, because the formatter (that is shared for the Date and Temporal API) does not support 4-digit formatting at all. In this case you have to do manual formatting (see below).
For the ISO 8601 format
If you want to get your date in the YYYY-MM-DD format (ISO 8601), the solution looks different:

Note that the ISO format for Temporal objects with dates before the year 1000 or after the year 9999 will have a different formatting compared to the legacy Date API. It is recommend to fallback to custom formatting to enforce 4 digit years in all circumstances.
Custom 4-digit formatting on the year
Sadly, the formatter doesn't support leading zeros on the year. There is no 4-digit option. This will remain for Temporal objects as well, because they do share the same formatter.
Fortunately, the ISO format of the Date API will always display at least 4 digits on the year, although Temporal objects do not. So at least for the Date API you can format historical dates before the year 1000 with leading zeros by falling back to a manual formatting approach using part of the ISO 8601 format method:

You could use ternary operator to format the date like an "if" statement.

JavaScript function to add X months to a date

I’m looking for the easiest, cleanest way to add X months to a JavaScript date.
I’d rather not handle the rolling over of the year or have to write my own function.
Is there something built in that can do this?
The following function adds months to a date in JavaScript (source). It takes into account year roll-overs and varying month lengths:

The above solution covers the edge case of moving from a month with a greater number of days than the destination month. eg.
Add twelve months to February 29th 2020 (should be February 28th 2021)
Add one month to August 31st 2020 (should be September 30th 2020)
If the day of the month changes when applying setMonth, then we know we have overflowed into the following month due to a difference in month length. In this case, we use setDate(0) to move back to the last day of the previous month.
Note: this version of this answer replaces an earlier version (below) that did not gracefully handle different month lengths.

This works for all edge cases. The weird calculation for newMonth handles negative months input. If the new month does not match the expected month (like 31 Feb), it will set the day of month to 0, which translates to "end of previous month":

As demonstrated by many of the complicated, ugly answers presented, Dates and Times can be a nightmare for programmers using any language. My approach is to convert dates and 'delta t' values into Epoch Time (in ms), perform any arithmetic, then convert back to "human time."

All these seem way too complicated and I guess it gets into a debate about what exactly adding "a month" means. Does it mean 30 days? Does it mean from the 1st to the 1st? From the last day to the last day?
If the latter, then adding a month to Feb 27th gets you to March 27th, but adding a month to Feb 28th gets you to March 31st (except in leap years, where it gets you to March 28th). Then subtracting a month from March 30th gets you... Feb 27th? Who knows...
For those looking for a simple solution, just add milliseconds and be done.
function getDatePlusDays(dt, days) {
return new Date(dt.getTime() + (days * 86400000));
}
or
Date.prototype.addDays = function(days) {
this = new Date(this.getTime() + (days * 86400000));
};
