When I search for an address on this map it zooms in too much where the map is not useful. I have tried adjusting the map bounds, but it did not help. I think I am on the right path, but Its just not working. Can someone help me fix this?

in you code, you use map.fitBounds(bounds);, which bounds is the place.geometry.viewport returned from the search result, which by default zoom in as much as it can. Instead, you want to pan to the new location, which save your current zoom level. Look at this jsfiddle demo for more information.

I created a places search google map that likes to search for places like types of schools, I made a marker for both private and public, the search box works, but when I click enter, It does not show the public/private schools, Is this because of my code? on icon? or marker?
The only problem is when I click enter, It does not display its markers

The main problem is that the markers array and the map variable are not in the global scope, once those are moved to the global scope and the references to the Markerr array removed (or changed to markers), the buttons work (or at least do what I expect).

And now i want to get the exact values of lat and lng to some variables in javascript.
After some research i have found this
var location = place.geometry.location;
var lat = location.lat();
var lng = location.lng();
So when i console.log the variables lat and lng to be appearead at the console of chrome. The problem is that i cant quite understand where should i integrate the lat and lng code from location so it can work with the example from google?
Any idea?
Thanks!

This is a Code Snippet of Google Map Search Function to search particular location.How can i make a google map search function that search particular location without marker. I've research google maps search box but so far most of what i research have markers even in Google Developers Website can't find any of it.
var searchBox = new google.maps.places.SearchBox(document.getElementById('searchmap'));
google.maps.event.addListener(searchBox,'places_changed',function() {
var places = searchBox.getPlaces();
var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds();
var i, place;
for (var i = 0; place= place[i]; i++) {
bounds.extend(place.geometry.location);
marker.setPosition(place.geometry.location);
}
map.fitBounds(bounds);
map.setZoom(15);
});
google.maps.event.addListener(marker,'position_changed', function(){
var lat = marker.getPosition().lat();
var lng = marker.getPosition().lat();
$('#lat').val(lat);
$('#lat').val(lat);
});
Here is modified example from Places search box page that demonstrates how to utilize Google Place Autocomplete feature (the dependency to mark places using markers is deleted)
function initAutocomplete() {
var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map'), {
center: { lat: -33.8688, lng: 151.2195 },
zoom: 13,
mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP
});
var input = document.getElementById('searchmap');
var searchBox = new google.maps.places.SearchBox(input);
map.controls[google.maps.ControlPosition.TOP_LEFT].push(input);
searchBox.addListener('places_changed', function () {
var places = searchBox.getPlaces();
if (places.length == 0) {
return;
}
var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds();
places.forEach(function (place) {
if (place.geometry.viewport) {
// Only geocodes have viewport.
bounds.union(place.geometry.viewport);
} else {
bounds.extend(place.geometry.location);
}
});
map.fitBounds(bounds);
});
}

I have created a map, and when I search for an address in the input box, my marker does not move to my new location.
I have added this thinking that it will solve my problem, but I guess I do not understand exactly what this snippet is doing
var markers = [];
// Listen for the event fired when the user selects a prediction and retrieve
// more details for that place.
searchBox.addListener('places_changed', function() {
var places = searchBox.getPlaces();
if (places.length == 0) {
return;
}

Like this.
I deleted some code that wasn't doing anything. Moving the marker, is this code, at the bottom: marker.setPosition(place.geometry.location);
