How to make a transition to the specific slide, JQuery cicle plugn - javascript

How to make a transition to the specific slide, for example if i have 1,2,3,4,5 buttons, the current slide is 4, and i want go to the 2 slide, how can i do it in cycle plugin of JQuery
$.fn.cycle.defaults = {
animIn: {},
animOut: {},
fx: 'fade',
after: null,
before: null,
cssBefore: {},
cssAfter: {},
delay: 0,
fit: 0,
height: 'auto',
metaAttr: 'cycle',
next: null,
pause: 0,
prev: null,
speed: 1000,
slideExpr: null,
sync: 1,
timeout: 4000
};
which of these options can be used to do that?

From the documentation, here and here, it is evident that the cycle plugin supports paging out of the box by use of the pager option, which specifies what element should act as the pager.
$('#s4')
.before('<div id="nav">') //insert the pager element before the cycled element
.cycle({
fx: 'turnDown',
speed: 'fast',
timeout: 0,
pager: '#nav'
});

How to make carousel slide continuously with Owl Carousel

I want to do, that logos with Owl Carousel plugin will slide continuously (no with 1,2,3... seconds delay, but slide without stop) Is it possible with Owl Carousel?
Here is how I got owl carousel to constantly scroll.
I had to add in a trigger to start the loop as the autoplay was too long, and meant it didn't start straight away, then I have a second trigger that sets the speed back to match the main setting.
You need to make sure that autoplaySpeed and smartSpeed are set to the same timing, and that slideTransition is set to linear.
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery('.owl-carousel').owlCarousel({
loop: true,
items: 6,
autoplay: true,
slideTransition: 'linear',
autoplaySpeed: 6000,
smartSpeed: 6000,
center: true,
});
jQuery('.owl-carousel').trigger('play.owl.autoplay',[2000]);
function setSpeed(){
jQuery('.owl-carousel').trigger('play.owl.autoplay',[6000]);
}
setTimeout(setSpeed, 1000);
});
This should work, using autoplaySpeed and autoplayTimeout:
$('.owl-carousel').owlCarousel({
stagePadding: 0,
loop:true,
margin:10,
nav: false,
autoplay: true,
slideTransition: 'linear',
autoplayTimeout: 3000,
autoplaySpeed: 3000,
autoplayHoverPause: true,
responsive:{
0:{
items:2
},
600:{
items:3
},
1000:{
items:5
}
}
})
You can define your slideSpeed and autoPlay status with;
$('#my_carousel').owlCarousel({
autoPlay: true,
slideSpeed: 200
});
But firstly; you should see the all options in the Owl Carousel

Responsive JavaScript – load/hide specific function related to browser width?

first fo all: i'm not into JavaScript/JQuery! …but i will try to point out what i want to do.
i'm using the fantastic bx-slider on my page and i made my website responsive via media queries which both works great so far. …but there are some features from the bx-slider-script which i don't want to get active on a specific browser-width. here's what i want:
browser-width LOWER than 500px = load this function:
$('#slider4').bxSlider({
minSlides: 2,
maxSlides: 2,
slideWidth: 230,
slideMargin: 10,
nextSelector: '#next',
prevSelector: '#prev',
infiniteLoop: false,
hideControlOnEnd: true,
pager: false,
useCSS: false,
easing: 'easeInOutExpo',
speed: 1000
});
browser-width HIGHER than 500px = hide the function above and load this one:
$('#slider4').bxSlider({
minSlides: 4,
maxSlides: 4,
slideWidth: 230,
slideMargin: 20,
nextSelector: '#next',
prevSelector: '#prev',
infiniteLoop: false,
hideControlOnEnd: true,
pager: false,
useCSS: false,
easing: 'easeInOutExpo',
speed: 1000
});
…is that even possible in JavaScript? I tried some scripts which are using breaking points but it think my JS-knowledge is to weak to get this to work as i want.
It would be great if there's someone out here which can show me how to do this easily!
If($(document).width() < 500){
...
}else{
...
}

You may also want to put in an onchange event
$( window ).resize(function() {
resizefunction();
});

jQuery CarouFredSel plugin triggering a configuration

i have a little problem, everything i think quite good, example is here: a link at bottom of page "Partneriai". The idea is when on mouse over and out on next and previous buttons set a speed (duration) a little bit faster, and when mouse out set speed duration normal (default).
And it's everything working, but the problem is : need to wait when one item is slide over from div, and then is setting a configuration of duration. I need immediately when mouse over, out at next,prev button and set those configuration. I can't find issue.
My code:
$(".sponsors-slider-slide").carouFredSel({
scroll: {
items: 1,
duration: 2000,
queue: true,
timeoutDuration: 0,
easing: "linear",
pauseOnHover: "immediate-resume",
fx: "scroll"
},
responsive: false,
circular: true,
infinite: false,
swipe: {
onTouch: true,
onMouse: true
},
width: "variable",
height: "variable",
items: {
visible: 4,
minimum: 0,
width: "variable",
height: "variable"
},
align: false,
debug: false
});
and example of next button:
$("#sponsors-slider-next").on("mouseover mouseout", function(e){
if(e.type == "mouseover")
{
$(".sponsors-slider-slide").trigger("configuration", ["direction", "left"]);
$(".sponsors-slider-slide").trigger("configuration", ["scroll.duration", 1000, true]);
}
if(e.type == "mouseout")
{
$(".sponsors-slider-slide").trigger("configuration", ["direction", "left"]);
$(".sponsors-slider-slide").trigger("configuration", ["scroll.duration", 2500, true]);
}
return false;
});
The question is, how to set scroll.duration when mouseover immediately on next button, not when carousel is finish slide ?
Thanks in advice.
It has to finish the transition before it can change configurations. To finish the transition immediately, trigger the finish event.
$(".sponsors-slider-slide").trigger('finish');
Depending on other settings, this may make it look a bit "glitchy", but at least it doesn't give the impression that the buttons aren't working.
BTW, it would be more efficient to chain multiple methods rather than repeat selectors:
$(".sponsors-slider-slide")
.trigger("finish")
.trigger("configuration", {
direction: "left",
scroll: {
duration: 1000
},
reInit: true //not sure that you need this
});

jQuery multi sliders change slide in one time

I'm using slidesjs and I want make multi sliders
I have 2 sliders #show and #show2, and I want that 2 slidersw work in 1 time: slides will be change in one time.
Now now 1 slider slides change earlier than 2, what is wrong in my code ?
I want that slides will change in one time:
<script>
$(function(){
$("#show").slidesjs({
width: 900,
height: 300,
navigation: false,
pagination: {active: false},
play: {
auto: true,
pauseOnHover: true,
effect: "fade",
},
effect: {
slide: {
speed: 200
},
fade: {
speed: 300,
crossfade: true
}
}
});
$("#show2").slidesjs({
width: 900,
height: 300,
navigation: false,
pagination: {active: false},
play: {
auto: true,
pauseOnHover: true,
effect: "fade",
},
effect: {
slide: {
speed: 200
},
fade: {
speed: 300,
crossfade: true
}
}
});
});
</script>
I try .ready but slides also change in different time
Give them both a class, and target them at the same time.
<div class="sliders" id="show"></div>
<div class="sliders" id="show2"></div>
JS:
$(".sliders").slidesjs({ ... });

Merging two "(document).ready(function()"s

I have two jquery/javascript codes but I couldn't merge them. Everytime one of the functions was disable. How can I merge the codes. Please help me, thanks.
First file:
jQuery.noConflict();
jQuery(function(){
jQuery('ul.menu-primary').superfish({
animation: {opacity:'show'},
autoArrows: true,
dropShadows: false,
speed: 200,
delay: 800
});
});
jQuery(function(){
jQuery('ul.menu-secondary').superfish({
animation: {opacity:'show'},
autoArrows: true,
dropShadows: false,
speed: 200,
delay: 800
});
});
//first ready function
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery('.fp-slides').cycle({
fx: 'scrollHorz',
timeout: 4000,
delay: 0,
speed: 400,
next: '.fp-next',
prev: '.fp-prev',
pager: '.fp-pager',
continuous: 0,
sync: 1,
pause: 1,
pauseOnPagerHover: 1,
cleartype: true,
cleartypeNoBg: true
});
});
second file:
function checkCopyRight(/*string*/url){
var copyrightLinks = $("a[href='" + url + "']");
return copyrightLinks.length > 0;
}
// second ready function
$().ready(function(){
if(!(checkCopyRight("http://e1.com")&&
checkCopyRight("http://e2.com")&&
checkCopyRight("http://e3.com"))){
alert("...");
}
});
I get a "Your post does not have much context to explain the code sections; please explain your scenario more clearly." message. There any character limit?
You actually have 3 Ready functions and one wannabe ready function. I've rewritten your code as it should be in one ready call. Give it a try:
function checkCopyRight(/*string*/url){
var copyrightLinks = jQuery("a[href='" + url + "']");
return copyrightLinks.length > 0;
}
jQuery.noConflict();
jQuery(function() {
jQuery('.menu-primary').superfish({
animation: {opacity:'show'},
autoArrows: true,
dropShadows: false,
speed: 200,
delay: 800
});
jQuery('.menu-secondary').superfish({
animation: {opacity:'show'},
autoArrows: true,
dropShadows: false,
speed: 200,
delay: 800
});
jQuery('.fp-slides').cycle({
fx: 'scrollHorz',
timeout: 4000,
delay: 0,
speed: 400,
next: '.fp-next',
prev: '.fp-prev',
pager: '.fp-pager',
continuous: 0,
sync: 1,
pause: 1,
pauseOnPagerHover: 1,
cleartype: true,
cleartypeNoBg: true
});
if(!(checkCopyRight("http://e1.com") && checkCopyRight("http://e2.com") && checkCopyRight("http://e3.com"))) {
alert("...");
}
})
$().ready(handler) (this is not recommended) [1]
Also, keep in mind, You dont really need noConflict unless you are using another JavaScript Library like MooTools or Prototype. A Plugin like Superfish is not relly a reason to call no Conflict. If there is no conflict, you can use $ as shorthand for jQuery instead of constantly rewriting jQuery.
$(document).ready is the same as JavaScript's .load function and since jQuery 1.0 you can use the shorthand version jQuery(function() { /* do work */ }) or $(function() { /* do work */ })
For more information:
.ready() (also info on noConflict)
.noConflict() (API Page)
My Blog on using jQuery (needs work, hoping to edit it this weekend, sorry)
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery('.fp-slides').cycle({
fx: 'scrollHorz',
timeout: 4000,
delay: 0,
speed: 400,
next: '.fp-next',
prev: '.fp-prev',
pager: '.fp-pager',
continuous: 0,
sync: 1,
pause: 1,
pauseOnPagerHover: 1,
cleartype: true,
cleartypeNoBg: true
});
if(!(checkCopyRight("http://e1.com")&&
checkCopyRight("http://e2.com")&&
checkCopyRight("http://e3.com"))){
alert("...");
}
});
You need to import the second file first since the first file uses a function inside second file.
